'Nice one' was a sarcastic comment. We are witnessing the greatest fan pressure that I can recall towards an alienation that has had to be tolerated. I have posted elsewhere that all clubs should come out now and support the principles behind the Olympic Flame. Propaganda from Rangers Media is basically what was linked.

If more Chairmen come out now and say 'no' we will see an upsurge of season ticket sales in Scotland. There will then be a focus on Dundee or Dunfermline as Club 12 on 4 July and we can move on and let Sevco stew. If it is true that Green has transferred player registrations without their permission, we are witnessing a very amateur approach to football management. So ICT, Aberdeen, Hibernian and Celtic speak now and lets clean up Scotland's tarnished image immediately. Let's make the vote on 4 July a formality. We have civil war currently. Do not let the principles and legacy of the Olympic flame die in Scotland. This is a proud country. Let Dundee and Dunfermline know how the SPL decision making will be on 4 July and place Rangers (Cove) and other DESERVING clubs on standby for Division three. If it is true, we can hardly allow in a recently formed club seeking to buy Bury and which may have transferred player contracts already from another club without player permissions. Let Mr Green or the liquidator sell Ibrox and the other assets and let us move on quickly to repair enormous reputational damage. Hearts and Dundee United have acted in the only decent way possible.

I actually think this is top class and hitting the nail firmly on the head.

One factor not picked up yet is that if Rangers have a case to answer for on EBTs, who was the Manager in charge for most of the potential cheating years? Was it 'in Walter we trust', and if so, did Walter know that his captain and other players and some officials were gaining benefits? It may just be a co-incidence that that the SPL announce 'Rangers have a case to answer' and then Walter walks. However, David Murray could not have been the only person to know about the scheme. Interesting overnight quote about Celtic supporters club very much against a newco into the spl. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/327694/Bhoys-set-for-boycott-vote What is clear about the 4th July is that hopefully the decision will be final. If there is any right of appeal the Scottish game will be in trouble. It seems all clubs will be down on season ticket money at present and in desperate need of a boost on 5th July when an established team with players and funding is allowed to take on the former share of Rangers in the SPL and we can get things under way.

Lee Beevers linked with ICT. Cue Courier headline 'Beevers house hunting close to Moray Firth.'

Sevco 5088 certainly does not sound like a Scottish Premier League Club - see latest fact about their re-birth. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18509619 I must admit I question why the BBC still have the now almost dead Rangers FC showing on their website. They do generally take a while to change things. Their coverage of late has been first class and in terms of fairness, they have updated their site to show Ross County as an SPL team. So hopefully within a day or two they will drop the numbers to 11 obliterating the disgraced entity.

It is highly symbolic that the SPL vote is on Independence Day. At long last 10 clubs have the chance to level the playing field in Scotland which in years to come will provide a far more exciting product. Rangers newco have 16 days to cobble up a team, produce a credible business plan, accept a series of fair punishments, and then provide guarantees. Let's be honest, they may not do walking away, but running up this hill could be too much for them. If they are accepted into the Third Division, maintaining Ibrox and the Murray park Training Ground may not be sustainable for King Charles. So Mr Chairman, ask to see which players they have signed, where are their income streams to sustain those expensive contracts, and how will they cope with the general running expenses of such a big club? They seem like a club in turmoil with one takeover after another. This is not the type of club Scotland's Premier League would wish to welcome in as a new member. It has no history, hours after being formed we saw protest marches being organised.

The Rangers F C do not have any players so can hardly play in the SPL. They have just over 2 weeks between SPL meetings to consider their application to join, to sign a few players. They can hardly be allowed to join without players.

Bring out the dead, bring out the dead........................ But I am not dead yet.................................................. You are now................................................................ SPL football is suddenly going to be a whole lot more exciting.... Motherwell - Champions League Hearts - Cup winners Kilmarnock - Cup Winners Celtic - Whingers For 2012/13 a spare place in the top 6 and real competition with every team trying to bring Celtic down Hopefully the SPL will find old Rangers guilty of player contracts cheating and strip them of titles thus allowing many teams to glow in retrospective glory. For those who have followed the Olympic torch, that is the true spirit of sport.

It will be interesting to see Charles Green's next few moves. If clubs vote for Rescue Rangers to be admitted back into the SPL, it is not beyond the bounds of possibility surely that someone makes a fast buck. At present the investment in Rangers is money being loaned to the the new company for repayment. The investors are just that, people looking for a return. There appears little appetite I would think to buy shares in the new company if offered to the general public or Rangers supporters. He seems to think people will come running and £30m will appear from many pockets. If the shares are retained by the initial few investors, if they can get all assets into the new company including players, just a few transfers could along with season ticket sales provide the working capital for one year of survival. Then after recouping the loan, surely the owners could sell the clean company, assuming it avoids sanctions from the old company's misdemeanours, for a fast buck? This is of course risky. The SPL might not vote in a brand new company so perhaps selling Rangers for £5.5m does not fully take account of the fact that this loan is not repaid if the SPL reject the application and the SFL take Cove Rangers instead. They have more right to enter than Rescue Rangers surely? '..if the CVA doesn't get approved I am £3m better off.' Sounds very philanthropic doesn't it?

Absolutely spot on.

Davie Weir took a while to start his professional career.

http://www.overthebridge.info/showthread.php?tid=509 Rosco's move is screwing up the aspiring 2012/13 SPL champions more than it is ICT. He could still be a loose cannon planted by Terry.

Be positive - the SPL could be absolutely exciting without Rangers. Reduced Policing costs will be a big cost saving for all clubs.

Jonny is a tricky little guy. I wonder what Aberdeen's excuse will be if he comes back and slips his markers and scores with ICT?

http://www.scotsman.com/scotland-on-sunday/sport/rangers-administration-end-game-nears-for-fallen-icon-1-2320897 ''The clear implication of Doncaster’s remarks is that the rules don’t allow further sanctions on Rangers at this time, but should the club be found guilty of having operated a dual contract system, then Rangers will be heavily punished next season.''

Rangers as a man of straw should be arguing that HMRC would be better chasing the recipients of tax free loans. This is a very good article: http://www.scotzine.com/2012/05/desperate-measures-from-rangers-as-they-head-to-court-of-session/ which paints a picture of the sinking ship potentially taking others down if it cannot get its way. The summer of 2012 is likely to make our 2004 summer issues with Partick look like a full body attack by 1,000 midges compared to one midge bite. The BBC this week have really livened things up. Next week could be an absolute watershed for SPL Chairmen. They may hear a FIFA ruling to the SFA about Rangers latest course of action. They will probably have witnessed Duff and Phelps issuing a CVA knowing it would be a further 6 weeks before they might come out of administration. They will know fixtures will be published fairly soon - Rangers/Dunfermline/Dundee versus ICT. The BBC probably have a few more aces up their sleaves on Duff and Phelp's role so it will be fascinating to see their court case with the BBC. Inverness Caledonian Thistle is though in a much healthier state than Glasgow Rangers.

Early days. Based on what is currently in the public domain, the Miller bid was deemed the better bid at the 11th hour. Duff and Duff Again, Multi millionaire Administrators, had to do something quick. Rangers collapse and liquidation remains firmly on the cards, Soon all players will have the right to return to their former wages or be allowed to jump ship. The grass will be a lot greener. If you were a player looking for a career move, would you join a new club that was clearly not Rangers F C hoping one day that the toxic Rangers F C would one day rid itself of problems and rejoin the new Rangers. That might be a year or so. Meantime, new Rangers F C might struggle to attract reasonable players and even if it had money, probably restricted by current bans. It would seem unlikely that the SPL would support clubs reforming to escape disciplinary action or else it could happen more often. Rangers fans should be very worried that this is not the end of their problems. Get down to ICT and buy a Recession Season Ticket. It took Inverness the length of Rangers history to get into Scotland's top flight. Support a decent club and let Rangers find their true level in Scottish society and history. Your club needs you.

Does anyone recall Terry saying we are nearly safe in the year we were relegated? A win for Dunfermline on Wednesday might start our nerves jangling.

One would have thought in the month when there were commemorations surrounding the sinking of the Titanic, that as the band played on, that the passengers would graciously accept that beneath the surface the mighty ship was holed. Why blame the iceberg?
-
If we beat Celtic and wreck their title ambitions, and if you score a cracker against them, I think you will become a legend in the Highlands. Go on Grant, you can do it for me. I have great plans for you.

In the year we were relegated Terry kept saying we are almost safe but that never came. We have recognised that top 6 is impossible so hopefully we start grafting for points to get away from Dunfermline even if they beat St Mirren. To me talking about top 6 all season has been a monkey on our backs adding too injuries and the need to blend loannees and new players. We will hopefully survive and start next season more realistically and seek to emerge from the shadow of our neighbours.
