Caledonian Stadium will look second best
It's astounding how much inference you can drag out of an article that is primarily about how difficult it's going to be to put USH in Victoria Park. Go be a phisherman in some other pond.

David Davis
Bye! we shouldn't miss him too much - Coxy might not be too sad he's gone either! With OTJ on the way back, we have enough in that area of the field.

Booking Fee at ICT
It's probably a handling fee imposed by the merchant (ticketmaster) to process card payment. The club won't see any of it, it's just another way that finance companies make money off us - I can think of certain airlines that are ten times worse.

Scotty, the ONLY reason his leg isn't broken is that it wasn't his standing leg that got hit. If there was ever a case for the rugby system where someone can be "cited" for foul play, that is it because that was a hideous tackle. Someone should forward this to the "compliance officer" at the SFA and ask his opinion-after all, if he can do people for diving when the ref hasn't taken action, he can act on this, surely?

Kept away from the telly until I watched it on BBC incomprehensible. Good result, better for us than them. O'Hanlon, straight red every day. That was a leg breaker of a tackle, I'm amazed Foran kept going after that, and even more amazed that the ref ignored it. Great goal from Hayes, but we really do try to lose games in injury time by giving away corners and then making a complete horlicks of them. Thought McKay was a tad off the pace up front, but I'll take a point every day.

hot food were has it gone
I don't misunderstand you. This is the catering company's fault, not ICT's. I have no evidence that they doing this "on the cheap" and with all due respect, neither do you. Your monkey comment and caps are just plain childish - if you want to contribute to a debate fine, but debate that ain't.

Foran's best game

Matchday Thread: Rangers -V- ICT
Aye, whoever said that Tade didn't play that well was at another game. He absolutely roasted Whittaker on his wing and his turn for creating the equaliser was quite Cruyff like. Honest. There wasn't a bad player in an ICT shirt and a 4-3 win would have been a better reflection of play. It's just sickening to lose to a goal from a guy who looks like plug from the bash street kids (google it young ones) Maybe that's why Rosscoe and Roman G took one look at him at the goal and ran in the opposite direction. Billy McKay could easily have had a hat trick but my MOTM had to be Roman Golobart, who was immense at the back. Highlight of the day (apart from fish n'chips in Auchterarder) was losing the bus home. It had been shifted by the Polis during the match, which was great for the Inverness fans in the away end because they got told. Less good for me + midgetmaestro who were in the main stand and didn't get told. Pete asked them to put a tannoy message for us, which security refused to do in case it was a "coded message" to start a riot. Kid you not. Next time, I'm taking a banner that says "our bagpipes have survived famine and oppression". That should confuse them.

Disgraceful
I despair of this I really do. Get this - I do not believe for one minute that Grant Munro would have made one iota of difference to the outcome of games this season unless he had played in all four back line positions (simultaneously) and somehow managed to bolster our midfield at the same time AND provided a commanding presence in goals. Contributing Adam Rooney's predatory instinct would have helped too, but to a lesser degree because we are scoring goals. I'll give you that we need an experienced centre back now that Hogg is injured, but whatever this management team are, I doubt if they are telepathic. The captaincy is the same -what is the most constructive thing that we come up with? dropping Foran and handing the captaincy to Rosscoe. Why? He's lost pace, had the turning circle of the Bismark on saturday and is prone to bookings to the extent that he will probably serve a ban at some point this year. There are better candidates and they don't have to have spent years at the club to qualify. I agree that Butcher has made tactical mistakes this year, and Saturday was the most glaring of them. I think that a bit of humility would have gone a long way there, but what do you expect as a fan? A grovelling apology from the Boss? A guy who has captained club & country in god knows how many finals. Unlikely. Likewise, engaging in angry argument with the paying customer is ill advised, but who tells the boss that when it's obviously born of a passion to see his team do well? Getting behind this team instead of bitching (and some of it is just that) might be better than the current stuff coming out of the stand. Think about it.

Disgraceful
Madsooz, you are annoying me. Golobart was excellent today, nothing got past the guy apart from the own goal. When you see the highlights and decide that, in fact Hayes and tokes were at fault for the goal and the guy had to go for it, get back to me.

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : Matchday Thread
I'm still trying to understand that one. How we were not three up by half time is beyond me. We weren't that good, and yet United still had no answer to us. McKay and Shinnie (from the Hayes free kick) could have both added to the score before McKay did and we would have been cruising. However, as soon as United got one back we struggled, although it was the second that killed us. Even then, it could have been different had Golobart netted his header just after. Contrary to what others are saying, I thought Roman Golobart had a great game today. He held the defence together when Hogg went off and he had no choice but to go for the ball when he got the OG. Russell was waiting behind him, and he had been lost by Tokely. The cross from Armstrong should never have got there, but Hayes gave up the chase on that one. I'd agree that there have to be changes - Ryan Esson needs a rest, he's not half the commanding prescence he was last year - and a back line of Piermayer, Meekings, Golobart and Gilet might be on the cards here, despite an utter lack of experience. Tokes was ripped to pieces in the second half to a degree where it was quite painful to watch. The midfield were the most culpable, in that Tansey lost the ball far too often and Cox fitted in just like a man who had been out for a good while. Foran simply needs rested in the same way as Esson does. Nick Ross coming on was baffling. United had shown how to react to this type of game, willo flood being as effective as stevie wonder against a powerful ICT unit. The game changed utterly when Russell came on to match that, and what did we do? bring on our own version of flood. There is something worrying in this team in that there seems to be an inability to deal with any kind of adversity on the pitch. When it goes wrong, the heads go down and TBH you could see us losing as soon as they scored. we really are that fragile. Time to go for broke next week Mr. Butcher, after all we are expected to get nothing out of the game. We need something before we face Aberdeen on Christmas Eve in a game that now becomes massive, and which I have no great confidence that we can win.

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- St Mirren
Really great to be able to hear these interviews and a good insight into the players and Terry as well. Well done everyone involved. Thank you. Lizi. I sat beside these guys at the game, they are first class! It's amazing what you can do with the interweb when you point it at a subject you love (footie for these guys) and have the talent to front it. I've told them they have to come and see our Irish contingent in situ some time, and they sound tempted. Cracking.

we won because this was the first time this season I'd seen "the scarf" on P&B predict a bad feeling and a 2-0 loss. He needs to do it again.

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- St Mirren
great, great result today which made the utter dreadful drive back up the road worthwhile. well done Mhairi. We were good value today, could have been 2 or 3 up by half time and defended well, by and large. Roman Golobart was immense, Billy McKay put in a good shift and Esson made some fantastic stops. Make no mistake, St. Mirren are a good side and this was a great three points.

Gary Speed found dead
Terrible news. It's a sad fact that people, for whatever the reason, feel the need to leave this life early. Read the RIP thread on pie & bovril, which is sadly being destroyed by an ICT fan called 10CCICT. Words fail me.

Tansey Appeal
He doesn't look to see where the ball is and leads with his arm . DC what are you on about ? this is your gawd knows how manyeth post justifying the sending off, and you are still wrong. Of course you are going to look and see where your opponent is before you jump to challenge him for a header - there's no point in challenging otherwise. You can even check again if you have time. If you can see where the ball has been passed from (or in this case lumped up the park from) as a professional you should be able to judge the flight of it, and where you/ opponent and ball intersect. Tansey did. As for your "interpretation" of the laws of the game, they are just that - laws. There is no interpretation. Law 12 (fouls & misconduct) lays them out perfectly well. The referee can only send Tansey off for either "serious foul play" or "violent conduct" There is no such offence as "leading with the arm" I can see no evidence of either of these offences in the highlights. He could only caution Tansey for "unsporting behaviour" which again there is no evidence of. He could have awarded a direct free kick for any number of described offences, including "jumps at an opponent" in a manner that the referee considers "careless, reckless or using excessive force" That is the offence that you have described, and that is the proper outcome according to the Laws of the Game. As my dad would say "gie's peace", but I won't hold my breath for you having the good grace to change your mind.
