Any Scotland fan who boo's one of our own, who wants to play for us, is an absolute disgrace. He is their on ability, no other reason, and anyone questioning that is an absolute idiot. Or is it assumed the Boo's were for an ex Hearts player coming on at Hibs home ground, as the Australian Jam tart was also booed. Another point, years ago when north players were picked for any Scotland squad, ie Caley, Thistle, Elgin, County, Nairn etc in the old Highland League days, were their cries of he aint good enough cause he aint in the Scottish league youth set up playing against quality youth from Hearts, Hibs, Dons, Gers and Celts. No they were picked on outstanding quality and ability. No one really queried Steve Bull playing in a poorish third division Wolverhampton Wanderers side, especially when a good Scottish team couldnt deal with a player who plied his trade well below their level, scored winner against us if I remember at Hampden. Blackie is a quality player who stood out at Caley Thistle, stood out at Hearts, and probably will again at his "New" league club

Londons UK Olympics
Yeah that is true, but how many medals were won for nations those winners were not born in. Just like football these days, or did team gb set a trend with Zola Budd.

Londons UK Olympics
believe it was 13 medals Jock, 7 gold, of which several were part of a team, ie rowing, cycling. Mhairi Spence, the only "local" from Inverness was down about 15th or so in the Modern Pentathlon, but she is the current World Champion. Overall I think the games were a success, but at what cost to the country.....tourism down huge amounts outwith London, economy will have suffered greatly, but we are being told we must all feel good about ourselves....huh, dont quite get that. One abiding memory for me, apart from all of the Scottish successes, was the Welsh girl winning the martial arts gold and then running round the stadium with the welsh flag aswell as the union flag.

to be fair he had been on the verge of the squad, and had been mentioned by the press and Hearts managers last season. Playing in the third division dont make him a poor player overnight, just like he didnt become a good player overnight. Pleased for Blackie, sponsered him when he was here at ICT. Dont see Levein picking him in the WC qualifiers really, but time will tell, and a better player than some of the others some have said should have been called up instead. What would be the case if everyone says they aint good enough for Scotland and only play in bottom tier, but win the League cup or Scots cup this season? I can imagine the ruptions in the SPL and SFA.

Owain red card
OTJ had all his weight on that right standing foot and ankle, having just had a nightmare season with injuries, I can understand OTJ instant reaction. Should have maybe been a sending off for both players, as it was a reckless and dangerous tackle. Next time just bide your time OTJ and get him back the same way, as refs dont book players for dangerous tackles, only deal with the reactions!!!

Gold
Scolympians at this Team GB thing in Englandshire have contributed into double figures of the gold medals. Funny how sport breaks down barriers, a lot of the sports people who train in England also represent other nations. Why do we seem to think that this would change if we seperate from the union. Will we chuck out all the "foreigners" that we have here in Scotland - I think not, and if they are born in Scotland the majority would represent Scotland. Think people completely underestimate what passion people have in being Scottish, as I rarely hear anyone Scottish who will ever call themselves British, unless they go to Castle Greyskull with the other Orcs.

Rangers go into administration
Have they paid any transfer fee for any of these players, or is it just wages. Hearts and Dons were paying 5-10k per week for top players until recently, heard Rangers are paying these new scabs around that too. Is that the kind of income they will still make in division 3? In Italy, Fiorentina, Juventus and Napoli have all been demoted for match fixing, did they just buy better players then the leagues they were in to get back up the leagues. Look whats happening to Portsmouth, that club have gone under about 3 or 4 times now trying to buy their way back.

Is Draper a Diver?
Did Guy not have a bit of a hot head reputation in Englandshire. If you lift your hands in a punching motion to an opponent its a sending off, even if you dont connect, however the fact is he connected with something, the ball, the arm and the head. And the more you look at it, Draper first moved the ball away from Guys grasp and switched hands, as Guy came back for the ball Draper holds it out from his side, and Guy swings at the ball but misses, catches Draper on the side of the arm and then his neck or cheek. Thats a sending off all day long. Whats the problem, St Midden without one of their better players for a game or two, helps our cause and not theirs. Draper starts to endear himself to ICT, well done lad. One a week would be good, but preferable earlier in the game, first few minutes next time please

Craig Dargo
That also depended on how many players we had signed, as back in the day we already had most of our squad settled and already signed. St Mirren could have been looking for a big name signing to appease fans, leaving less for the lesser players. Financially it was the right move for him, career wise - maybe not, but then his injuries could have started again the following season at TCS!

SPL Week 1
On the basis of 1 game, Celtic will win league by 30-40 points, and may even go unbeaten in the league. Arabs will be the best of the rest, top 6 will also have Hearts, and Motherwell. Battling the bottom will be Hibees, Dundee, St J, St M and Killie. That leaves ourselves, county and dons somewhere in between. If county manage to get points early they will be fine, but if they find themselves with only 2 or 3 points after 5 - 6 games they might add to the battlers.

Season tickets down 20%. Why?
Think that some of the staff from the McGregor companies are forced to buy season tickets as part of their wages, hence the Inverness ticket holders. When you go to McGregors it feels anti ICT, and Im sure ICT have season tickets goimg to Ross-shire too. See some walking over the bridge

St Mirren v ICT
Typical. Folk complain we dont have enough of the local yoof coming into the team. And when one does get a few minutes, we go why the feck did he do that. This is how they get experience, and did he do any wrong, dont think so. Hearts appeared to do ok with two 17 year olds, and its what we have been asking for. Polly is an international at each of his age groups and is our youngest ever yoof to appear in the first team.

Why Celtic hide the crowd?
Gordieict, No, hate both. ICT and Liverpool as I have said many times before. Originally of the Kingsmills bias. Just as I have got older have hated them both more and more. Dont worry I slag off both halves just as much, but their obsession with themselves turns my stomach. Just find many of the happenings of the last few seasons laughable. Hate Lennon and the Celtic conspiracy thing Hate Rangers and their Union Jacks and singing. And being of Catholic Irish background just hate anything religion based

Why Celtic hide the crowd?
Was looking to see what kind of crowd Celtic got for their most important game of the season last night, and low and behold, their was no one at the game. However I heard a couple of bits on the radio and it sounded like a small crowd, but then on another channel it was a sell out. Heard on Tuesday night they had almost sold out the bottom tier, and someone estimated 25,000 just before kick off. Anyone know how many did actually attend for what could possibly be their only game in Europe with HJK scoring an away goal.

Sellic game on 25 August - 3pm kick off!
Tug, It used to be one of the old old firm were away each week, which meant SKY or ESPN followed the away one against the smaller team in the SPL, very rarely, in fact I think it was just the Glasgow derbies that had one of them live on tv at home. Will be interested to see what games they chose this year with Edinbra, Duunde and Heilan derbies too

Leopards dont change their spots
Yes. both halves of the old old firm have a history of twitter abuse, but why would Celtic fans follow an ex Rangers player who has been gone for 3 seasons and played in 2 different countries since. Saying all that, I would have him in our team anyday

North Cup v Forres (Away) - Tonight 7:30pm
Who said you cant win anything with a team of kids? Our youngsters aren't the strongest of teams, with the under 19s league table pointing that out last season. However we do have a good number of individuals who are exceptional for their age, and given games like this will improve even more. Forres are a good physical highland league team, Champions of last season and favorites for the title again. Saw them twice last season, and they were very very physical, infact opposition had 4 players carried of in the two games, including one broken leg if I recall, so playing more first teamers wouldnt be wise, especially as several have had an injury prone history. Well done to the yoof for nearly completing their task
