  1. On Saturday there were four people serving in the West Terrace stall that covers both home and away fans. For about 15 minutes in the run up to kick off three of them were serving the United fans and only one was serving the home fans. I wasn't aware of the shortage of pies as I only had a rather tasteless white coffee. Nevertheless this set up gave the home fans had a lower chance of getting a pie.

    Arrogance?

As said above, organising this event on the night of an away game made no sense at all. I'm guessing that current players and officials never got to go to the dinner either, or did they appear later on? I couldn't go to Greenock but tried to drum up some other friends and long time fans in the same boat to go to the dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to persuade them partly because they still feel disengaged by the club and partly because they had no wish to pay rip off prices for drink at the Drumossie.
  3. He sure was. His funeral service is at 2pm on Monday 14th at WT Fraser's Culduthel then on to the crematorium.
  4. Hugh is now 89 and up until about 6 months ago was still going to home games and the gym at Inverness Leisure. Sadly he is terminally ill with cancer but despite his failing health he still likes to have a chat about football, including how the team are doing now.
  5. Tumbleweed .................. As expected, no more activity. Will just have to hope Shaun Rooney stays fit and free of suspension and have Brad McKay as cover when he comes back from injury.
  6. WTF! Perhaps there is a grand plan for someone to pump money into the club so we can sign some more experienced players in the rest of the transfer window. ?

    New Kit

I got a 4XL in its box at the club shop this morning and very happy with it. I'm usually XL or 2XL in other tops, so look to go up at least 2 sizes from your normal. 5XL and XL out of stock but other sizes available.

    New Kit

25 year anniversary strips larger than small adult size already out of stock on line. Will need to call in at shop to find out how to order one.
  9. Gosh, the number of us saying that continues to increase.
  10. Maybe he's being signed to play at right back.?
  11. I'd go 3-4-2-1. Carson and Tremarco as wing backs helping out in defence. Walsh and Keatings to have more of a free roaming role. Ridgers B McKay - Donaldson - McCart Carson - Trafford - MacGregor - Tremarco Walsh - Keatings Todorov
  12. That woeful performance would suggest that neither the players nor the management wanted to progress in this cup. As the last 16 draw went afterwards it could have been Aberdeen or The Rangers at home and a bit of much needed cash to boot. Why did Robbo wait so long to bring on all his subs? Why wasn't Roddy MacGregor one of them? We could have nicked a draw at the end if more positive changes had been made earlier.

    New Kit

New first choice top is overwhelmed by the size of the McEwan Fraser writing. That and the pattern put me off buying it. I'd much rather have the 25th Anniversary one , if available for sale, but not until August apparently. Once again the late availability meant missed opportunities to sell to the youngsters who wanted to wear them when away on their hols these last two weeks.
  14. At the risk of sounding like a stuck vinyl record, we desperately need an experienced and specialist right back. Shaun Rooney's injury should surely justify such a signing.
  15. Some players seem to get crocked every year against Forres. About time we stopped playing them?
  16. No sign of a decent right back yet? Maybe Robbo wants to play JV in that role so as he can bomb forward and score late winners like his cup final goal in 2015. ?

    Crowds.

You can't play football on a bowling green as it would cut up within the first 2 minutes. Nor can you bowl on a football pitch as the grass is too long.
  18. Didn't know about that. Was there no opportunity for fans to attend? ?
  19. Yes, but missing it as I'm still on holiday in Canada. Will be back in time for the play-offs though.
  20. Bombskares the two of them, McKay and Rooney that is.
  21. A decent right back. Not had one since Raven departed. Unless one of the youngsters can fill that gap.
  22. Short, to the point and absolutely how I felt too.
  23. From memory our semis in 2003 and 2004 had low crowds. I think it was just under 8,000 v Dundee on a Sunday at 3pm then 13,500 v Dunfermline with a 3pm kick off on a Saturday. So less than 20,000 v Hearts with the game live on TV doesn't seem all that bad for creating an atmosphere. The lower gate money from this is a bit of a bummer though. I also think that most of the Jambos would more easily get to Hampden from Edinburgh for a 12.15 ko than our fans. 1.30pm at Tannadice or Dens on the Sunday might work better but the other semi ko time would have to be moved to avoid a clash for TV.
  24. Was it not this time last year that we started that impressive unbeaten run? Here's hoping that can be repeated to see us safely into the play offs.
  25. Get a couple of dozen volunteers to unfurl it on the pitch in the pre-match build up at the Global Energy Stadium on Monday night. Then keep it for our next cup final appearance this May.?
