Eric.....redressing the balance
Fair's fair. I was pretty scathing of Eric after the Morton game and dismayed to see him in the starting line up at Palmerston yet again. What an improved showing from him yesterday though! He could have bagged a hat-trick in the first half but for two instinctive point-blank saves from the Queens keeper. At that point I was thinking........echoes of Partick when we were up against an inspired keeper. On two occasions he showed deft touches to control the ball inside the box to set up chances. He fired narrowly wide and high on two further occasions in the first 45. He chased and harried a bit more and seemed a little more up for sticking a foot in. When near the away fans he appeared to react to encouragement from the stands and all in all it was a much better showing. If last weeks report card read..........Must do better..........then he clearly read it This week........a much improved display, keep it up Eric

Ok. I will join in. It is not nice to single out a player like this but it has to be said. What Butcher sees in Eiric is completely beyond me and I am dismayed when I see him once agaiin on the starting grid. It makes me question the management team to be honest. Then I look at the 17 game run which has seen us overturn a seemingly insurmountable Dundee lead and I then question myself. Who knows more about the game ........Naelifts ( and, to be fair, every other supporter that I have ever spoken to on the subject)...........or Terry and Mo? To my eyes Eric shirks a tackle, despite his athleticism always seems to be off the pace, Is incapable of forming a partnership as his gazelle like runs take him into places where other teams don't have places, has a first touch like another African mammal and appears to contribute very little to the set-up. I, more than once, have seen the look of utter dismay from Richie as an excellent flick on is wasted. I wonder what his team mates think. In short, I agree with the sage from Chorley............bring Eric on late if at all. Then I also remember how it took me a very long time to appreciate Adam Rooney. Now I think he is immense every time I watch him. A real example to youngsters of how you can improve and move on to another level by hard work and perseverance. Lets leave it up to Terry..........despite my continuing doubts........he and the players are doing us proud.

Fair play to him. But after the running he did yesterday I think it may be a different guy with the same name............do you think?

What the bookies say
Latviaman................the spl stinks

What the bookies say
He rises to the bait like a tired salmon. My reasoning is simple . I am thinking insurance. Very few of us here thought that we would ever get this close to the top of the league and be in with a serious chance of winning it. (Just for the record, and to court more controversy, I would of course love for Caley to win the league........but would not relish a return to the SPL). Should we be disappointed........I have some insurance. Secondly I only look for value when betting.I have no allegiances......it is business. This team is overpriced now in my opinion. Granted, they have a huge fixture build up. If however they beat Dundee on Saturday these odds are going to look silly. In effect I am betting on the outcome of that game with Dundee on their uppers and County flying high. He sinks to the depths.........a spent force Donview.............I love you too

Being not quite as senior as some i can confirm that Russell was booked in the first half and was desperate for him to shut up and walk away later on as i knew that he was talking himself into an early bath. the bath must have been full by the time the match finished...........

A cracking day out again for this fan who has yet to see his team win this season! An all action competitive 1st Div encounter with plenty talking points. Congratulations to 1) Adam Rooney for a proper shift........worked his socks off 2) Ryan Essen......a busy afternoon and a commanding performance 3) Mrs Gringo......for coming of age and being directly responsible for me missing the equaliser! 4) Our fans........the noisiest and most amusing band of 100 people in the UK today without doubt Not so good 1) Mr Butcher......are you blind man? 2) Eric..............sorry to single you out but...........oh dear Now who can honestly say (of those that were there) that they would rather have been at Parkhead or Tynecastle etc..........not me! PS Those staying over in Dumfries.........hope you paint the town red

Football wins the day
As an infrequent attender and even more infrequent site-user this season I have avoided reading several Tolstoysworth of sage reviewing.........can't be bothered. (prepares to be moved on) I travelled to Perth strangely unexcited about the prospect of my team competing for silverware. For some time now I have bemoaned the lack of entertainment on show and found it increasingly easy to find other ways of passing time on match days. A recent round trip to Dingwall (09.40 - 20.30) had done nothing to whet my appetite.........although........being a fair man.......enjoyed some of Counties rapier like thrusts through our (largely SPL) midfield. We are back at our rightful level now but it is disappointing for me that we still have to attend monotonous Lego stadia in the main. What a treat to stand on the sun drenched terraces at Dingwall.........a real memory-provoker. Duty prevailed however , and ICT........no.........football itself, was on trial for me on Sunday. Was it the value for money entertainment that I nostalgically recall from yesteryear? Could it get me back in the fold.............I will never be a regular A9 traveller unless the government suddenly discovers that it has made a mistake with the sums.........we are actually 200 Billion to the good!.........and immediately sets about dualling the A9 (with a slip road at Ballinluig obviously). The result of my days sacrifice. ..........Faith restored!! A wonderful game of football; somebody had to win; we gave our all; hats off to Dundee; hard lines to our boys............you can all be proud of yourselves. A footnote of a personal apology to one R Duncan who turned to the gutted crowd after Dees 3rd and implored us to make some noise.........I think I was sitting on my hands at the time.........we really are a quiet bunch. So.............I'll be back. Games like that make it all worth while. And......all the - sack this, change that, why didn't? stuff is bollocks after a day like that. Football was the winner...........we all were.

Are the muppets learning ?
I'm glad to be where we are. I might just start enjoying the matchday experience for the first time in ages. You can keep the SPL as far as I am concerned.
