  1. I think I said we already have a walrus
  2. I think I know this person Ten4. He (gender may be questionable) has a stall in Forres market selling his art. The said art is a decorative macrame zoo made entirely out of the cranial nerve ends of Dutch surrealists. These nerve ends can only be harvested during Fridays neurological surgery at Raigmore and must be fresh when worked with. Hence the absence on Saturday....all in the name of art. Extraordinary! I must say the products are very good. Mine is a walrus called Van Perse
  3. Much more of this and I will be calling myself out for a whiff of Oxygen
  4. Finally got a commentary on the work computer. thanks a bunch Radio Scotland!
  5. Now Richard you have to ask yourself is it apathy towards the club or SPL football in general?. Is it still a worthwhile product run by people who genuinely care about the game and the supporters? Is this product value for money? There is no doubt that my allegaince has waned since the "team i grew up with " was steadily dismantled and finally disappeared with the exit of Roscoe, My attendance in Inverness over the last 2 years has been sporadic............it costs me the thick end of £100 to attend a game. You do not seem to be in evidence much yourself at away games..............perhaps our team does not need our support then............or is it that you refuse to travel because of other commitments, the expense, the time it takes, We all have our reasons to attend or otherwise but i bet you one thing. If the product on the park was consistently good football from a recognisable and settled side then crowds would get a boost
  6. What a drive up through lightning storm and sensational rain. Fish and chips excellent. Smugglers Tavern , scene of so many rendezvous in the past IS SHUT!!. Quick detour to bar opposite stadium and then...................into the arena of dreams..............surely my fav ground to visit. The ref caused mayhem by swapping teams round before the start resulting in virtually everyone in the ground having to relocate , as can only happen in very few places these days. Excellent display of patient passing football capped by two great goals. Could and should have been many more. A wee bit shot-shy at times and Bullock in good form despite continual **** taking from the terraces. We eased through to the next round with Andy Shinnie outstanding. Very enjoyable
  7. I think you know the answer to your own question Mairi
  8. Heading up with three in car . Space if you need it top six...........handy if i could pick you up near by pass
  9. Ah Mr Spink...........better get smokin'........the boys are back in town. Still the only ground that I visited with my dog , Bonnie ( R I P). New kid on the block , Rosco, is maybe a bit young for the trip at 13 weeks..........don't want him pissing on a goalpost!..........or do I?
  10. No Scotty.............we don't think ICT were bad this year............we know they were. btw My Ex wife lives over there..............do you know her!
  11. What a fab tournament. The much touted Dutch are crap. The Poles came roaring back and were unlucky to only draw with Russia. Well done Engalnd.......an exciting clash with the Swedes (did Wellbeck mean it?). Incredible weather. The French are winning nothing . Hats off to the Germans......very classy. the Irish........well......... The italians can't help playing like Italians when they hit the front. Spain for me......surely the team to beat........so pleased for Torres but he still does not look confident. So many pundits reckon that the Spanish are sussed and over the hill........we'll see. And racism? Well the only racism I have seen is at my work with a universal hatred of all things English. Of course the arrogance of the English media has grated for so long now but, lets be fair........it has not been like it this time round. Enjoying Jim Beglin. Yep. One of the best tournaments I can remember. No yawnfest.........all action frm the outset. Long may it continue.
  12. And my tuppence worth.................................... Dear Sir/Madam, Can I through this email add my weight to the argument to prevent Rangers re entering the SPL. It would appear that , across the country, there has never been such depth of feeling over any other issue. And the voices are pretty much unanimous. We, the supporters, will not tolerate any support for a Rangers bid to stay in the highest league. It is debateable whether they should be allowed to ply there trade in any senior league. I will not be appearing at Caledonian Stadium again if this is allowed to proceed. Please vote NO. We pay the wages..............we deserve to be heard Roddy McClean Peebles
  13. Well we finally stumble to the end of another season. Many have said it is the worst that they have experienced as a supporter and i wouldn't disagree. My attendances have been limited by various issues, but one was definately the product on the park. The lack of continuity and disjointed nature of the team did not sit well with the fans and no doubt was also difficult for those playing. Some of it was forced on the management but not all. The days when you knew the 11 and subs in your sleep are long gone. Only Rosscoe remains from that fabulous library of memories. Will the sap rise next August? Only time will tell. Highlight of the season for me ( in games that i actually attended) was Mr Hayes scoring a Maradona-esque goal having run round half of the Hibs team at Easter Road. Possibly the best goal that I have ever seen "live". Also being lucky enough to be in the vicinity of a poor chap who took really quite ill at Pittodrie and being able to lend a hand. Lizi I hope that all is well . I know deep down that things will never again be as they were. The pilot light is still on but my passion for Caley and football in general will never be re-ignited to its former glory. Sad.........but perhaps inevitable. So guys.............enjoy the break and I will see some of you on the terraces from time to time next year for sure. PS Have just put my name down for a puppy. Looks like he is going to be called Ross! It was going to be Rosscoe until a work colleague said...." Is that like....Ross County!!!"
  14. Oh Scotty............I do remember you , the proverbial half-shut knife ,at the 6-0 drubbing. The 5-1 defeat at Ayr (Roscoe!!!!!) was indeed a shocker. My worst moment could be when we went 4-0 down to Livvy after only 22 minutes of the championship decider.........what happened next was legendary and could have resulted in my best ever moment with a bit of luck! SP leaving for Aberdeen was a crushing blow Parkhead Feb 8th 2000 cannot be beaten to my mind........5500 folk going deliriously mental..........the radio phone ins after...........arriving in Diggers in Edinburgh and being congratulated by everyone.................walking on air for a week Happy days
  15. The man has deserved this overall. He must however be suplemented. Mackay is not the answer
  16. Well I missed out on a trip to Glasgow due to work. If it had not been for that reason it may well have been for a host of easily accessed others. Such is my position with Scottish football/football in general these days. My love for ICT remains undiminished although, with Rosocoe being the only tangible link to 'the team I grew up with' ,even that may be a less than accurate statement. What a pleasant change it was then to read such a host of positive comments regarding yesterdays' trip. The football was of a pleasing standard......the stewards allowed standing and generally stood back........the home support and atmosphere being praised by our travellers.....the players making an effort to say 'thanks' at the whistle. I was invited to accompany some 'Tic supporting friends from my town to the newly decorated Celtic Supporters Social Club pre match. They assured me that it no longer hosts bands playing partisan battle songs and is an altogether more welcoming and pleasant place to congregate. To quote a favourite troubadour.........might the Times be a'Changin'? Now if we can only get another factor correct..........we may be getting somewhere. Alternatives may not be so attractive for so many . In the words of another famous American export we must ensure that 'The Price is Right'. As it was, the situation, in my opinion , was fast becoming, 'Pointless'
  17. The second weekend in August means the Abernethy Highland Games for me in my beloved Nethybridge. Last year I got a pass which enabled me to sneak up to Aviemore and jump on a train for ICT v Celtic. The train was full of Celtic fans as you would imagine. At least 70% of those who got on the train at Aviemore wore green and white........how depressing is that! THis year I could only wangle permission to go to Aviemore and watch the game on TV. I was sitting in the pub with one ICT supporter and 25 of "the other persuasion" suffering endless waffling from the blue nosed TV commentators and surrounded by the " c'mon the championees", "c'mon the blues" brigade. It is only to be expected I suppose and will always be the case. With the success that ICT have had since inception including some world-reverberating headline moments, the club could not have done more on the park to garner local support. What a shame then that so many people living within easy travelling distance of an SPL club can not bring themselves to lend their support. It is the same country-wide. At least I had one ally at the bar...........thanks for that whoever you were. Then I went home.
  18. Is back!! And thank goodness for it I would venture. This was my first viewing this term and , as it is so early in the season, I am loathe to criticise anyone . Full marks however must go to Richie for a tireless, motivational shift during which his aeriel prowess was astonishing. Time after time he won the hoof forward with a good knock on..............and of course he scored the goal that wasn't. Is this our best hope this year......a Craig Dargo type working with the imperious Foran? I saw little out there to suggest how we can work the ball any other way. And........oh how we missed Russell Duncan! PS A bit like Withnail and I...........I went to the football by mistake. See you all in September when sane people start to think about a winter sport
  19. This sounds very interesting, not to say convenient...............who's in
  20. Hardly looking at the forum just now..............football in July is a joke! But glad I caught this news. Many Congrats from the Peebles crew. Such responsibility.......good luck
  21. All the best Colin . What a legendary venue the Innes became! I hope that all the friends I have met there continue to patronise the place under new ownership. We are not a difficult bunch to manage.................and so we move on again
  22. Nice one guys. Good luck
