  1. we are experiencing interference on the lines to the Philipines and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause..............
  2. A well written Standard Operating Procedure. Unfortunately it falls down with the lack of reference to Infection Control practice. One must always be dressed correctly before attempting such a procedure.............me...........I prefer Latex.
  3. Can only agree with most of what has been said. We need Charlie back in the middle of the park
  4. Hola from Panama City. Heading home tomorrow but not in time to attend Saturdays game (supposed to be doing a night shift anyhow). Surprised to hear about Midden game as the first one was such a pleasant atmosphere. Many including myself commented on just that. Such is life. We must continue to protest in a peaceful manner...........the ultimate, unfortunately being non-attendance. Hasta Luego
  5. Our hearts go out to this devastated region..............more and more of this sort of thing going on worldwide. As I type Brazil , Sri Lanka and others are being hit. I met you several years ago Gabby and enjoy your posts.........stay safe.
  6. ........can the constabulary and stewards not just f*ck off and leave us alone. This is bullying and harrassment of the lowest order. Does the match commander really think that 300 hardy souls have paid ?20, risked life and limb on Perth,s perilous pavements, and braved the elements to watch 90 minutes of hokum AND be continually pestered to sit down and shut up. Have you nothing better to do? Have you a single ounce of common sense? Do you have any sense of proportion? OR Are you just a bully? Why pick on a couple of young lads following their team;lads with a passion, motivation. Would you rather they were drinking on park benches or aimlessly smashing windows in your town centre...........no chance of ever seeing any police there! If your justification is crowd safety then why not issue your goons with some shovels and clear the bloody pavements around the stadium. You are pathetic. And what happens when the Old filth come calling? You bully boys are nowhere to be seen. You make me sick. Your victimisation of IHE was breathtaking. " The match commander is watching you on TV and says that the next time you are to stand up you will be ejected" Well......the next time, have the balls to show yourself and explain this face to face. You will find a passionate supporter who enjoys a bit of banter........a (usually) very reasonable guy. You sir, abuse your position; are not fit for purpose; are a disgrace to your profession. You have not got the slightest clue how to maintain public order......your actions on Sunday were more likely to provoke a rebellion than quell one. Or, is that what you wanted. Were you that bored with the game (most of us were) that you thought you would have a bit of fun; Sitting in your ivory tower like the Kommandant in Schindlers List selecting a victim for elimination. I know this is an on-going and possibly boring topic, and it is one on which I have never felt strong enough to comment. But , today is different. When watching the aforementioned film and reading accounts of similar situations I have always wondered why those "just following orders" did not rail round as one and tell the person issuing the order to "f*ck off. If you want it done....do it yourself". I would like to see that! Perhaps one day this will happen. Look what a shining light the match commander at Paisley was. What a great day out we had.....absolutely no hassle. Smiles on the faces of stewards and home and away fans. Look at that model and see how it works. As I said..........you Sir....are a disgrace!!!
  7. On the subject of record shops, I have distinct memories of travelling through from Nethybridge by bus and train to purchase singles on the day of release from a shop called Chris's (?). Loved the place. Life on Mars was probably the first disc i bought there. In those days the release of a single by a major artist was a much hyped event and always eagerly anticipated. have I got the name of the store right?
  8. How/when are the team travelling?. I hear the "9" is shut. Are we in danger of a cancellation? Airports shut too. Don't know about trains. Would be seriously pissed off if it didn't go ahead
  9. Ambitious...........and why not
  10. We have a tough finish to 2010 to say the least. Our boys are flying so lets hope they can cope better than Scotland's road gritters! Rangers at home............realistically one point Hearts away..........again realistically one point from the up and coming Jam tarts St Mirren at home....we must secure three points here Killie at home......a resurgent Killie will be a handful....another point thats 6 from 12 and that will do me can anyone beat that?
  11. Well I never knew that about you Scotty. I was an Aberdeen man.........born and brought up in the city but with a great love of the Highlands having spent some of my childhood there. When the merger was announced I decided (along with Wanderer) to buy some shares, get in on the ground floor and see where the ride might take us. Never in my wildest dreams did i think that I would experience so many highs, meet so many great people and become so addicted. If the way the team are performing now does not attract new fans then I do not know what will.........apart from heated seats, better access to pies and a better atmosphere........ie more singing, dancing and general unrestrained merriment
  12. I think that the man has a little bit more class than that!
  13. Superb as usual Mary. Use of the "f" word was noted. Full marks!
  14. oK...........sneaked on to the work computer. Night shift tonight will be a breeze after another phenomenal away day. We were poor in the first half and, to be fair, Accies played some nice stuff when they had the ball. Imrie's goal was well taken and he did well to control himself when running behind the goal to celebrate. I DISAGREE with all the bile coming from our support and in his direction. Fun is fun and I enjoy a good wind-up as much as the next man, but the paedo stuff crossed a line. Back to the game and after 15 crazy minutes of the second half we were in heaven and potentially looking at a big score. Rooney's first was a gift but he still had to finish. Johnny piled in for a second and a glorious jump and header into the postage stamp by Adam completed the scoring. Rooney had 30 mins to complete a hat-trick.............have we had one in the SPL???. We let Hamilton press thereafter. I believe Ryan made a stupendous point-blank save (I did not see it as I was texting scores around the globe)........it is so good to have him between the sticks....there are few better around. The temperature dropped markedly as full time approached reminding us that we are now entering winter and that the hard work needs to continue or we easily slip a few league places. Richie, I say again, needs to get himself fit .......he is SO obviously carrying at least one injury. It is Butchers shout when we can best do without him........he was towering in the air today. Special mention to Ross, Shinnie, Duff......oh hell .....the lot of them. And Tel for giving us a great send off. You guys who are not travelling to away fixtures (but could) are really missing out on something special......it won't last forever and may never happen again. Come on down and enjoy.
  15. Yep...........I think that he needs to rest until overcoming this injury which, in the long run, will inevitably force him out.
  16. Morning all, I got shouted down in Brechins before Ibrox for offering my tuppenceworth re Mr Foran. In the 2nd 45 of that game he definately gave the impression of a man who had had a boot up the backside at half-time.. And quite rightly so. He went on to have a major contribution and was very unlucky not to secure the equaliser which may just have led to a famous win. My point in the pub beforehand was......is he giving his all? Is he back to full fitness? Is he being played out of position? Where is the Richie ;Mr 110%......oh how I hate that phrase!; Mr lead-by-example...that we came to take for granted last year? I'm not so sure he is back and I am not so sure why. Does he require more booting up the derriere......or am I just being impatient? We need to push on. The first part of the season has yielded a healthy points tally and a lofty league position. We must keep it up however. Clubs below us keep earning points and we never seem to get any further away from the bottom. With our home form being so poor, a couple of bad weeks could see us in the mire again and all the good work being undone. The opposite is also true of course. So, come on Richie, step up to the plate.....and show us what you are made of.
  17. Spot on Roger. Ayr a good few years ago was the only confrontation I can remember. I have travelled in the subway from Ibrox after a victory. Sandwiched in with a zillion huns, wearing my scarf, and not a word said. But anyway , back to Ayr..........a scuffle just before the bridge on the way out of the ground......could you put a date on that?
  18. Thought this needed a thread of its own. Alex McLeods comment re the above being a reason for fans staying away from Old Firm fixtures is, to my mind, an anachronism. I have attended many matches in Glasgow throughout ICTs history ( hardly missed any probably) and have never found this to be the case. On the contrary, especially at Parkhead, the pre-match banter is excellent and hostelries are mostly very accommodating. Part of this is probably down to the fact that we are not seen as a threat to their lofty status ( the facts and figures may prove otherwise). The downsides for me are the way we are corralled into a corner, kept back after the game and overcharged for the privilege. But Rangers and Celtic both have fantastic stadiums and the fixtures have never lost their gloss for me. Getting one over these guys has you on a high for weeks. The animals can fight amongst themselves as much as they want...........it doesn't bother me........and they never have. My car has never been touched and, I am sure that, even if Mantis took his, it would remain likewise. Indeed, now I come to think of it, the only things that have been shouted at me after a game are "well done lads" or " you deserved that". It is a shame that our attendance has dwindled so much over the years............the team deserve a better support when they are down there. The quite pathetic levels attending now must be for a whole range of reasons. So what are they? Lets do a survey? I can assure you that if you are staying away for fear of trouble then you are being misled.
  19. Wanderer and I will be wandering west. Agree with point 2 Alex but feel the "hostile atmosphere" does not exist. The stewards can be knobs but they are worse elsewhere.
  20. Nice final words IHE. I echo the sentiment............good to see you Ian
  21. Sad news indeed. As everyone has said............a real stalwart and gent
