  1. That is a coincidence so is one of mine.
  2. Most records broken in a season?
  3. Obviously it is the overspill from our lights making the navigation lights in the Firth harder to see. This confused the referee who is a dodgy old sailor. We had been warned about this sort of thing in the past.
  4. Oh I don't know. have you tried reading this thread backward?
  5. Thanks IHE. Merry Christmas to all on the forum.

That could be a narcissist thing I hate to do this but I recall this from somewhere. From a psychological perspective it is common that peeple who were seen to believe in and are convinced that their perspectives are wholly correct adhere to that but hide their doubt by obsessionally attempting to deride any alternative suggestion, obsessionally surfing to see any alternatives are being posted. It is suggestive of doubt. dougal likes this Like This JAMES DEAN FROM CHORLEY FC WOULD BE A REBEL WITH A CAUSE AND EAST OF EDEN COURT
  7. IHE only 50, you must have had a rough paper round.
  8. CaleyD is right. We just create a never ending spiral of inflation which benefits no one in the long term. Everyone would take one step up an ever lengthening ladder but remain, relatively, in exactly the same position. Average incomes are driven ever higher along with increases in the minimum and living wage. Which in fact positively hurts those on fixed incomes or pensions, who will find themselves increasingly worse off as a result. We already have real poverty for some of the older, low paid and weaker members of society, why would we want to make it worse for them? Of course the Government pensions will eventually rise as will welfare payments but never quite matching, always a year or two behind, increasing the gap for the worst off. Indeed most pensioners in our society do not have an index linked pension and will suffer and so require increased support from the welfare system just to stay exactly where they are. This in turn would increase government spending, pushing up taxes and all to no good effect other than to hurt the lowest on the ladder. Those at the base of the ladder would still be at the bottom but have bigger rungs ahead of them Differentials in income are at the highest levels ever in modern times. That is those at the top are, on average, now earning many more times the average workers wage than was true in the past. In the not too distant past those at the top of the ladder managed very well on incomes of about, again on average, 5 times that of their workers. i believe that now averages more than 30 times higher than their workers. We are looking at the problem from the wrong angle and I think the solution lies more in cutting wages for those at the top of the ladder, by compulsion if necessary. This would force average wages down, drive down prices and make the rungs on the ladder closer together. We would still have those at the top and those at the bottom but at least those at the bottom would be a little better off and those at the top would still be very comfortable. I hear the cries already from those at the top of the ladder looking down at us on the bottom. "If you don't give us what we want we will move out of the country." Let them go and let them leave their fortunes behind. There are plenty more willing and able to take their place for a smaller reward. Plenty more with a conscience.
  9. How about fitting reclining seats in the North stand. You could have a little sleep during the quieter moments.
  10. The crowd was low some 2.7 thousand if I heard correctly. Not many Perth travelling supporters and big gaps in the home ranks too. As to why? I couldn't think of a single reasonable excuse never mind lots of the unreasonable ones that are being rolled out. We can not survive like this and our squad will suffer long term. The few away fans out-sung our home support for large parts of the game too.
  11. Enjoyable game. We were well on top in the first half with some great play but no goals. Second half St Johnstone started with more fire and were looking more dangerous. Not for long with two well taken and worked goals we looked as good as ever. Lots of pressing late on brought them a goal and poor defensive decisions made us look shaky. We held on for a deserved win. The referee was poor overall but at least consistently poor giving an average performance, not helped much by a less than impressive main stand side assistant. We had had the best of the possession and far more chances than them. Good result from the team and overall the work rate was good. With improvements needed at the back we look to be deservedly in top position.
  12. Thanks guys bit slow this afternoon the result of a heavy night
  13. Sadly staying up next year is all I expect. Avoiding the play offs would be nice. Top six would be nice but I don't see it. As for cup runs,as has been said its just the luck of the draw. Still got my season ticket though.
  14. Google translate is your friend. Billy McKay is one of the most internationally renowned players of the Scottish Premier, a born scorer who is doing some spectacular numbers in Inverness, surprise team in the SPL. Just turned 25, this Northern Ireland bears a mark of 17 goals in 21 official games for the team in the Highlands.
  15. Sadly not it would make travelling in to the game easier if I did.
  16. 1. Glasgow, Laverock Hall St. Springburn 2. All over the place UK. Germany, Cyprus and Singapore. 3. Caley early 90s 4. Loch Flemington, Inverness since 96

    The inquest

Sincerely hope we're left with a decent team - a "descent" team is the last thing we need! You got me bang to rights. See what happens when you rely on a spell checker, rather than learning.
