Hearn says3 items retading the game in Scotl
Some club chairmen such as Stewart Milne talking the game down don't help either the reality or the perception of our game nor does the obsession with the rancid cesspit of corruption and mismanagement that was once Glasgow Rangers.

At the risk of going further off topic, while those who are never critical of anything on or off the field have every right to post in such optimistic terms, surely there is no need for them to immediately jump down the throats of those like DD who are more balanced and temper their positive posts with a bit of constructive realism and acceptance of some of the more negative issues that also exist.

Inverness CT -V- St Mirren
To be fair, maybe that's because OAM were not viewing the match through red and blue tinted glasses..
-
Inverness CT -V- Aberdeen
While there might be some truth in that, three consecutive defeats without scoring a single goal has to be down to more than not just getting a break. No need for despair just yet but if we come away from Dingwall on Thursday without at least a point things will be starting to look a bit grim.

Inverness CT -V- Aberdeen
Profitable in relative terms. Back in the day a £60,000 windfall for either Caley or Thistle would have balanced the books for a couple of financial years. These days, it's slightly less than what's required to run ICT for a week.

Inverness CT -V- Aberdeen
The Dons sold their entire allocation and contributed over £60,000 to our coffers. Personally, since we were a long way from selling out, I have no difficulty with a few relatively well behaved Aberdeen fans contributing a few more quid

Development League info. (2014/15)
If they can hang on to these young players Hamilton would appear to have a few bright years ahead with the prospect of yet more transfer cash in the bank at the end. What is it that they do with their youths that we don't ? Are there lessons for us to learn ?

Inverness CT -V- Partick Th
Whether yesterday was an one off blip or a turning point in the season will depend entirely on how management and players alike react over the glut of games we have over the next three or so weeks. No need to panic just yet. One advantage could be that we will go back to flying under the radar of the Central Belt centred media.

Top scorers
Frankly, as long as we continue to score at least one more than the opposition, I don't care who gets them.

ICT get a new fan
No we don't have them to give away. We may have given one to a deserving cause clearly fallen on difficult times in the hope that it may make him just a little less cold and uncomfortable over the harsh winter months. I am assuming you, on the other hand are fortunate enough, like the vast majority of us, to live in a warm comfortable home.

Interview with Kenny Cameron
The chairman is impressive and it is an impressive interview but I fail to see what that has to do with your aggressive stance to those many fans who had reservations about the appointment of JH.

Calling The Residents Of Inverness
Agree, appreciate finances are tight but there may well be merit in employing someone with a successful track record in marketing and public relations on perhaps a two year fixed contract. I appreciate that someone of high caliber and and a proven record of success would command a significant salary and there might have to be a modest reduction in the playing budget as a result but it might just bear fruit. Someone confident in their ability to attract more fans and generate more income may well be happy for part of their remuneration package to be performance related and, to that extent, it could be, at least partially, self funding. I should add that this is not intended as a criticism of the initiatives the club are already taking but someone who's raison d'etre is to generate publicity and enthusiasm may just be able to bring something fresh to the table.

Calling The Residents Of Inverness
We should, without doubt, talk up the many things that are good but I am not sure that those who speak for the club jumping down the throat or making sarcastic comments about fans with sincere and constructive criticism helps much.

Calling The Residents Of Inverness
What on earth will it take to persuade you to take a trip to the Longman on a Saturday afternoon ? I know football is a bit on the pricey side but ICT have consistently had the cheapest matchday experience in the top tier. We had to wait over a century before the Scottish League let us join their exclusive little club but now boast the second most successful team in the entire land playing attractive football and unbeaten at home all season. The population of Inverness and surrounding area is at record levels. Surely surely you could abandon the Retail Park and back our local heroes with more than our loyal core of a paltry two and a half thousand. We used to get those sort of crowds for routine Inverness derbies in the Highland League when the population of the town was not much more than half what it is now.

John Hughes--The Real Deal.
I was a cynic largely based on his record elsewhere and am happy for him to continue to prove me wrong week after week. In fact, I would love to be proved as wrong as possible by Graeme Shinnie hoisting the Scottish Cup above his head in May as a parting gift to the club he's served so well. I suspect the downside of our success is that we will lose a few of our out of contract players at the end of May and the real Acid test for JH will be just how successful he will be in filling those pairs of empty boots.

Not a night for the Tarten army
Not quite sure why the OP decided to open this thread in 'Other Sport' but, since if it relates to sport at all, it relates to football, I am moving it to the appropriate forum.

Not a night for the Tarten army
Perhaps the OP is looking to come even closer to the top of the next poll for 'Least Popular Poster In History' having fallen narrowly short last time.

How much should we really be paying?
Then how do you suggest we make good the shortfall ?
-
How much should we really be paying?
?????? A post earlier on said that you can't do better than £15 return but it turns out you can No we can't. County can because their buses are subsidised by one of our former chairman who now backs the Dingwall mob.
-
How much should we really be paying?
We would all like to pay a bit less to watch the football. The trouble is that the club is a business with a number of full and part time employees to pay and sustantial other overheads. Even with prudent housekeeping it takes a very good year for the club to turn a profit and there is often a six figure loss and that is with current ticket prices. With a very modest TV deal, ongoing lack of league sponsorship and limited commercial opportunities, Scottish clubs such as ours rely heavily on gate income to survive. Experiments at other clubs, notably Motherwell have demonstrated that lower prices does not seem to result in substantially increased attendance. The club do not set the prices to exploit fans but to ensure sufficient income to remain viable and competitive in the top tier. I am certain they would love to charge no more than say fifteen quid for routine league games but simply can't. They do what they can with one off initiatives for which they should be applauded but, in general, if we want to sustain 'Premiership' football in Inverness we are going to have to pay the going rate.

With a 6pm kick off - and Scotland v England on tv that night. Whose bright idea was that???? Poor decision definitely. Seems to wholly disregard the small but loyal band who regularly follow the under 20s
