It's certainly a record number of goals scored by any one player before the season has even begun !
  2. Kingsmills replied to TopSix's topic in Caley Thistle
    Thanks for that.

Jeepers, 140 MPH is some speed !
  5. Preston Docks. Just like Wigan Pier . Actually Canal based both of them. When they were shifting cotton in the Haydays before the trains "Britain's bread hangs on Lancashire's thread". Horrible racist fans in any event. Came to Gigg Lane once and caused havoc . Don't like them . Another bad lot are based in Hull. You could say Millwall has no docks but apparently they came from the Isle of Dogs whatever that is. I realise that it must be an aberation from your almost perfect knowledge of almost everything but far from having no docks, Millwall was founded in London's docklands by dockers and Scottish ones at that and were often referred to as 'The Dockers'.
  6. Exactly. I didn't make it to the game, I've not got Tim tendancies, honest, but a few of my mates in London do and by all accounts it was a cracking day out. They swear blind no offencive songs were sung about Lee Rigby (RIP) nor was a "Islam" banner on display but hae-hoe the press will print any old sh*te Did the press print anything backing up the internet poster's claims ? I am not aware of any such reports but at least it gave Laurence an opportunity to have yet another go at his fellow countrymen and to inform us all, yet again, that not only was he in the fire service but very senior within that noble body of men and women.

Within speed limit: Inverness to Perth 110 mls 2 hrs Perth to Arbroath 45 mls less than an hour at that time of night. Dundee traffick should be fairly light and once you get by Monifeith its fast dual carraigeway to Arbroath. The AA, however, think it should take 3h 29m. Take a risk and its anyones guess. Via Aberdeen might be quicker, especially if Gringo Jnr is leaving from Ardersier. .
  8. Even if true, I really can't see this having any adverse effect on team spirit.
  9. Allegedly, he hides where he wants Allegedly, he hides where he wants Richie Foran Allegedly, he hides where he wants Doesn't scan nearly so well but I prefer my version and so does site admin.
  10. Wholehearted apology. My mistake. Must be seeing double.
  11. Seems you've not noticed there's a thread on the subject already.
  12. Although, Owain Tudor Jones's European adventure looks like it may well be short lived.
  13. Congratulation to the Perth Saints. The away win puts them in with a great chance of progressing to the next round. Can't shake of the feeling that it could have been us.
  14. Anybody able to provide updates this evening ?
  15. Then maybe all the more reason to work on them pre season with nothing at stake.
  16. Maybe he should use it to get along to one of the four remaining ashes tests, although I suspect he may find tickets at a premium. Cricket may not be everyone's cup of tea and has largely failed to catch on in Scotland perhaps at least partly though our climate. Nevertheless, for those who enjoy, understand and appreciate it there is no doubt whatsoever that test match cricket is the finest part of the game with it's twists and subtle nuances. Yes it can last for up to five days or fifteen sessions each longer than a football match but each day or, indeed as the match just ended has demonstrated superbly, each hour can be wholly different from the last or the next. Typically during the course of a match skills of batsmanship, bowling and fielding, while important, can be eclipsed by the guile and ingenuity of the captains. Frankly, while twenty twenty cricket has a place, to prefer it over test cricket is like saying you prefer the drama of a penalty shoot out over the tedium of the 90 or 120 minutes that go before it.
  17. To be fair, County's starting eleven is likely to have more Scots than ours.
  18. Ross County playing Clach tonight.
  19. I see that Gary Cornish took the latest step up in his career with a comfortable win against an experienced opponent. Very early days yet in his career and I appreciate he has yet to fight anyone with any real pedigree but I wonder if there is an Invernessian sporting hero in the making.
  20. Congratulations to Andy Murray on his historic victory at Wimbledon. Not the greatest fan of tennis but, along with Chris Hoy, possibly the greatest sporting Scot of the current generation.
