Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Ch Cup - Preview
I agree. I am generally a fan of this competition affording as it does the only realistic opportunity for the majority of SPFL clubs to win a national knock out tournament and I have thoroughly enjoyed the days out afforded by our ventures into the final over the years. However, with a truly massive league game and a cup replay coming up, we can't afford to hive tonight's match any sort of priority. Raith may very well feel the same way which ironically might lead to an entertaining and competitive game of football.

Worst Scottish Cup attendance in 27 years
The under reporting of crowds by the home team when gate receipts are shared has been an issue since the advent of the professional game. It was more of an issue when the takings from league matches were shared in the same way that cup tie receipts are now. Celtic, in the biscuit tin era, were particularly serious offenders often under reporting crowds by 10,000 or more.

Scottish Cup 4th round draw.
It was 75 yards.

Worst Scottish Cup attendance in 27 years
Although not quite as guilty as our neighbours in Dingwall who employ the simple formula of counting everyone though the turnstiles for a lesgue match twice but only every alternative person entering the ground for cup fixtures.

Scottish Cup 4th round draw.
The winner of our replay against Morton drawn away against Motherwell. Not the best draw for whichever side progresses.

Worst Scottish Cup attendance in 27 years
Whilst there is an ongoing issue with the club engaging with fans, I don't think that had much to do with the sparse attendance on Saturday. More to do with the weather, fixture fatigue and the game and playing familiar opponents.

Scotland
A tough tie and Ukraine will, quite rightly, be favourites but that may well suit us,especially in front of a full house at Hampden.

Drummin' up support for the team
It is never right to punish the many for the actions of the few. Competent and proportionate stewarding could have and should have nipped any such problems in the bud.

Drummin' up support for the team
I hope that the club are taking note of the enthusiasm for this, even among us old sweetie rustlers, with so far not a dissenting voice. Over zelous stewarding has been a persistent problem ever since the North Stand was built so an opportunity to address this long standing issue and kill two birds with one stone with the advantage of improving the atmosphere and increasing attendances at the same time.

Drummin' up support for the team
As long as the young crew are not left marrooned on that 'stepping stone' They are the future of the club unlike the likes of me who sits quietly in the Main Stand occasionally clapping, even less often shouting and constantly moaning albeit generally about the catering rather than the team. A step in the right direction but a very modest one indeed.

Drummin' up support for the team
Our drummers provided a great atmosphere during our rise through the divisions two decades or more ago. A new generation not just tolerated but welcomed and encouraged by the club would be a great addition to particularly home games where atmosphere is not always what it might be. A welcome development.

David Carson
I am closing this thread as Dave Carson is back at the club. There is a rumour widely circulating about a very personal matter resulting in another player being asked to leave the club but the appropriate forum for such discussions is Rumour Mill with due regard being had both to the rules of this site and to the law of defamation.

ICTWFC
Drawn away to Clyde. Tie to take place on 19th of December. Hopefully a victory and a home tie at the stadium in the next round.

Fans Focus Group
Which should be treated with caution given that the last such rumour was without foundation. Whatever legitimate criticism can be levelled at the club for poor communication, they cannot and should not be expected to spend time commenting on every baseless rumour.

Effectively two leagues now although still almost as vital for us to pick up as many points against the bottom five as against our promotion rivals.

You may be right although he is seldom at his best on artificial surfaces. If is career is coming to an end we should not let any deterioration in form and fitness allow us to lose sight of what a wonderful servant and skillful player he has been for the club, including at the the highest level, for over a decade now despite much of that time being blighted by injury.

Of course it is. Yet another senior moment 😁 However, all the more reason to turn out in huge numbers against Killie, their fans will go a fair way to filling the South Stand, for our biggest game of the season so far. A win against Killie and we may well be top of the league. We will certainly be well in the mix with a considerable psychological advantage over one of our main rivals.

Results today, especially Arbroath's win at Rugby Park, leaves the top of the table incredibly tight indeed with very little separating the top five. Two distinct leagues now with the top five competing for the title and three play off spots and the bottom five battling relegation. A break for the cup next weekend and then two absolutely huge home games within four days against Raith and Killie respectively. Win both and we will be back on top of the league irrespective of any results elsewhere. What better incentive to the team need and what better incentive for as many home fans as possible, including many who have been slow to return post lockdown, to pack the North and Main Stands and sing themselves hoarse, or at least in the latter case, rustle their sweetie papers more loudly and vigorously than ever before. Perhaps the biggest few days since we were relegated. Get yourself along to the Longman and encourage as many others as possible to do so as well.

Slightly dull start to the day here in Aberdeenshire but the morning always seems a little bit brighter the day after an ICT evening win. A slip up by Killie or Raith, preferably both, and the weekend will be complete from a footballing point of view.

Where is it going wrong?
Absolutely agree. It should now be blidingly obvious that, when fit, all four players mentioned should be in the starting XI.

We made life unnecessarily difficult for ourselves for the last quarter of an hour but, on the whole, that was a heartening and entertaining performance. A vital three points stopping the rot of half a dozen league games without a win and putting a wee bit of pressure on our promotion rivals for tomorrow. Can't decide between Billy, Dave or Roddy for my MOM so will give it to the small but highly vocal band who made the long journey to Dumfries on a dark late November evening and who won't be in their beds until the wee small hours. If we continue to play like this and tighten up at the back we may not be far away come the business end of the season.
