  1. At circa 875,000 for competitive matches I wouldn't have been far off approaching a million including friendlies and testimonials. Still, might be worth marking in a season and a half's time or so.
  2. Excluding friendlies and testimonials we could still be a season or so away.
  3. Am I right in thinking that, taking into account friendlies and testimonials, we are approaching the milestone of the millionth fan throgh the gates of Fortress Longman. If so, it strikes me that there's a good opportunity looming for the club to generate some publicity by rewarding that particular individual perhaps in conjunction with a sponsor. A chance to bring club and fans closer together again as well.
  4. In other words we have the basis of a squad for next season assuming we are promoted and assuming all, or most of, the above want to re-sign for the club.
  5. A distict possibility should we secure promotion although he has apparently been very poor on the odd occasion he';s played for United.

Agree 100% I would go so far as to say we would have stayed up.
  7. A bit of a wake up call and the least composed we've been in weeks but, when all said and done we have maintained our points advantage over Dundee and County with one fewer game to be paid. I'd have bitten anyone's hand off for a four point advantage with five games to play if offered at the begining of the season far less three months ago when mid table mediocrity looked likely. In my opinion, Dunfermline and Q.O.S. no longer serious contenders leving us in pole position in a three horse race.
  8. I bet that ICT will have a greater net loss than ?286,000 for the current financial year.
  9. Clarity at last but why did the club take so long in being frank and open allowing relationships between the club and many suppoeters and shareholders to fester in the meantime ?
  10. The person concerned has plead not guilty, at least for the time being, so no posts infering guilt please.
  11. The way our title rivals are imploding two wins and two draws may be enough.
  12. You might well be right. If so, that answers my question.
  13. Not counting any chickens as yet but would we still be entitled to the second instalment of our " parachute payment " in the event of being promoted after a single season in the wilderness. The reason I ask is that relegated teams are entitled to ?250,000 in the first season after relegation and ?125,000 in the second but no side has regained their SPL status with the second instalment outstanding since the payment was introduced. An additional ?125,000 would come in very handy when settling with Marius !
  14. They are running out of games, with only 5 left, but I suspect the Pars may be our greatest threat.
  15. Hayes has huge potential and is at least as good as Robson was at the same stage. A minimum 2 year deal would be prudent.
  16. I was of the view that his contract shouldn't be renewed beyond the end of this season right up until about two months ago.
  17. I was wondering the same thing. Can't say I miss the drums though !
  18. Fact is we can't afford full time football outwith the SPL.
  19. Kingsmills replied to a post in a topic in General Football
The suggestion is thst he is still likely to sign for Bournmouthin the summer.
  20. Russell has been a bit of an unsung hero for years.
  21. Probably the most sensible attitude.
  22. Not the Jailender classic of our last promotion season but I thought this thread was nevertheless worth bumping to the top !
  23. Not until last Saturday if truth be told.
  24. More than half the starting eleven changed from last season. The biggest change in our personel since Pele took the reins in division three. It was a gamble which now looks as though it may very well pay off.
