  1. We still need an experienced striker otherwise I fear we are destined to struggle at the foot of the table rather than competing for a top six place.
  2. Only if he predicts that we're going into Administration.
  3. There's no doubt how he'll predict the result but by how many will he believe we will be tanked by on Saturday ?
  4. That comment may come back to haunt you by Saturday afternoon.
  5. As far as Black and Cowie are concerned it would be great to secure them both for 3 years or even longer but if they, or either of them are only prepared to commit to 2 then that's better than them walking at the end of thge season or leaving during the January transfer window for a modest fee.
  6. A decent man who seemed to have the interests of Scottish football at heart.
  7. Interesting how many of the issues back then remain as issues today.
  8. On the other hand why wind up the most potent player in the country ?
  9. Still, fairly encouraging considering the youthfulness of the team.

    Hello all!

The behaviour and apparent extreme right wing stance of a number of their fans makes it difficult to have any affection for Leeds. Who can forget the loud rendition of the "Runway Song" during the attept at a minutes silence for the late Matt Busby a few seasons ago ?
  11. I've got a feeling that you may well be right Smee.
  12. Such players are few and far between these days.
  13. If a payer is willing to travel to Inverness for a week or two then there's generally no harm in having a look at him.
  14. Personally, I'd still settle for anything above bottom.
  15. I agree, maybe even between 3rd and 12th. That's why it's so crucial not to be dropping any points unnecesarily this season.
  16. Great news. Let's hope that Black, Cowie and Fraser all follow the skipper's fine example. Being ultra critical, It's a pity it's only a two year extention rather than a three year one.
  17. I've not taken the step of deleting your last post BNP but I will not hesitate to do so if Charles Bannerman, who is the principal target of your unacceptably inflamatory statements, complains. It's clear that the events of 15 years ago still cause you some difficulties but unless you tone down your comments appropriate action will be taken
  18. 3 points from 2 of these fixtures so far. Not too bad going.
  19. As things stand, I would indeed include all the non Old Firm clubs in that catagory.
  20. I don't see height, or lack of it, being an issue. At least Brewster seems to be casting his net far and wide for potential new recruits even if the trialists so far have left without being offered a contract. There may just be a gem amomst them.
  21. What about Barry Wilson ? I know he struggles vto play 90 minutes these days but surely he's done enough to justify extending his contract to the end of the season thus allowing him to see out his career with the club.
  22. Violence may have been a leading factor in turning people away from the game in the 70s but I don't think it's much of a factor these days. Certainly not compared to the sheer cost of taking a family to a football match especially if paying "walk up" prices.
  23. Hardly likely to want to swap an Australian summer for winter in the Highlands then.
  24. Who is Craig Moore playing for these days ?
