To be fair Rangers and the players concerned seem to have legitimate complaint. Anti black racism seems to be rife in the Balkans and UEFA need to take just as firm a line as they have started to against sectarianism.

Bobby was a great servant to the club and is not much older than Dods. However, he was never the most athletic player in the world and I suspect his days of being able to cope with the pace of SPL forwards are behind him.

I used to believe that Rory had a great deal of potential. I've now, with some regret, come to the view that he may never be SPL quality. That's not to say that he isn't a competent enough player but his level may be a division or two lower. That said, I'd be more than delighted to be proved wrong.

I have a soft spot for Clach probably because my late father, who was a native Markincher, followed them and because they are the only Highland League team left in Inverness. For no logical reason, I also follow the fortunes of Preston North End and Yeovil Town.

Russell Duncan is probably the most under rated plasyer in our squad. I would be very disappointed indeed to see him released. -

While far from perfect, the stewarding was better than for many previous matches against the Old Firm.

Without writing off either Wyness or MacAllister, we need a change up front for the next match and a Bayne Niculae combination seenms obvious assuming both are fit and available.

Rangers looked like a team who had warmed up for the new season by playng Chelsea and competitive european football. We looked like a side who had prepared for the new new season by pitting ourselves against the likes of Clach, Keith and Ross County. Still, things will look brighter in a fortnight's time when we have four points on the board and Niculae has his work permit.

We need at least one, if not two, experienced defenders. Good to hear that Charlie was as disappointed as the fans with the performance. -
There is still a problem and I suspect that if the SFA don't act then UEFA will. That said, it appeared that the stearding of the Rangers fans was a bit less toothless than in previous seasons and credit must go to the club for that.

With the new season about to start I'm told that total sales of season tickets are " quite a bit down " on last year. Does anyone know what the final figure is ?
