Player and manager of the month awards for March.
Kingsmills replied to Red White and Blue's topic in Caley Thistle
I rather suspect that depends on which division we find ourselves in next season. -
Still the second best player ever to come through our development system. Glad to see and hear that the appalling and unwarranted abuse he was subject to earlier in the season from some quarters has lessened. We are fortunate to have him.
-
Because he's a competent and capable forward who has improved as the season has progressed.
-
I may have lost track but we have squandered at least eight points this season by poor penalty taking. Shocking negligence on our part.

I disagree, Trafford was sent off for a second yellow which was not worthy of a booking and Draper escaped a deserved second yellow on two occasions before being hooked. The second half played with County having ten men and us having a full compliment could have been very different.

Not blaming the players or the manager too much. Almost impossible when you are playing the highest paid team in the league blatantly assisted by quite the worst referee we have seen this season. No point on dwelling on it. We need to start concentrating on building some momentum, starting on Saturday, for the run in to the season, hopefully, including the play offs.

Highland derby hospitality scrapped due to low demand
Kingsmills replied to IBM's topic in Caley Thistle
TV has a lot to answer for but not for this matter. The match would not have gone ahead on the Saturday anyway as the pitch was still sodden. It would have been moved to a midweek date in any event. A solution might have been to discount the hospitality packages and advertise that fact widely including on this site but that would have involved communicating with fans which, as we know, this board seems to find bothersome and inconvenient. -

We were all pretty bored between three and quarter to five yesterday.

In all honesty, the final sentence would probably suffice.

A very poor game but, with the Pars losing last night, we are actually a point closer to securing a play off place. Much more effort, skill and commitment needed on Tuesday.

Would you prefer that they turn a blind eye to criminal activity?

Leaving aside any suggestions of impropriety, surely creating a very senior and presumably well paid management position and making an appointment of an outsider without advertising the position and replacing long standing and popular caterers without the matter going out to tender is, at the very least, very poor and shoddy business practice as indeed, in the past, was sacking a coach with a long standing relationship with the club by text message. Worryingly, very basic lessons do not seem to be being learned.

Thanks for the clarification Scotty.

Does the club have the broadcasting rights to do this ?

Invite to BBC Sportsound Cup Semi-Final Special
Kingsmills replied to DoofersDad's topic in Caley Thistle
I suppose, that it never occurred to the BBC to host the event in either Inverness or Aberdeen. The only surprise is it's not Glasgow. -
Saves on the cost of policing/ stewarding and, since that cost is deducted from our share of the revenue, I can live with that.
-
The SFA not customer (fan) friendly. Surely not!

We have tried lowering prices to attract more fans in the past and it doesn't work. The prices we charge at the moment are not enough to remotely come close to breaking even. The stark commercial reality is that we can't afford to charge less.

Third place would give us home advantage in the second leg of the first play off round which probably gives a slight edge. A good and professional first 75 minutes or so with the last quarter of an hour being a timely wake up call that we need to concentrate and focus from first whistle to last if promotion is to be realised. All in all a very satisfactory evening putting a wee bit of daylight between ourselves and the Pars. Need to consolidate now against a stubborn Falkirk side still dangerous opponents while battling against the drop. Finally, a word of praise for the officials, there has been some dreadful refereeing this season but I thought that Tuesday's referee was very competent indeed.

The cup run is the icing on the cake. Promotion still has to be the priority. Saturday's game against Falkirk is every bit as important as the semi final and every bit as deserving of backing.
