  1. Found this on the SFA website The following William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round replays will be played on the following dates: Forfar Athletic vs Linlithgow Rose (To be played Tuesday 19th January 2016, 7:30pm kick-off) Ross County vs Dunfermline Athletic (To be played Tuesday 12th January 2016, 7:45pm kick-off) Inverness Caledonian Thistle vs Stirling Albion (To be played Tuesday 19th January 2016, 7:45pm kick-off)
  2. Stokes is the 6th All time top scorer In the SPL at only 27, i'd take him in a heartbeat if we could afford him. I very much doubt it will happen though.
  3. I ended up going to this game, bapties goal was an absolute screamer from 30 yards or so.
  4. Manager of St. Andrews Phil McGuire has been sacked
  5. Most likely he won't sign up again but if what we've been told is true then Foran will be taking over. A plan should now be put in place to make sure he is prepared and we should be trying to tie up all the loose contracts asap.
  6. Totally agree if we cant get folk in basically free I dont think prices are the problem here. In reply to Deanos point above when the players visit schools free adult tickets as well as childrens tickets are offered. Good old pester power must work sometimes? However I have spoken to a player on that subject and they find it frustrating that the kids they meet are very keen to come but the adults wont bring them! Surely you can't be saying £12 for the coldest and wettest part of the stadium to take a kid to the game is a decent price. That's pretty poor. I've got 3 girls and sadly neither are interested in football after me trying a good few times to encourage it but I wouldn't ever take them to the dreaded uncovered sections which would have definitely turned them away. Football for the occasional fan is expensive but it's not the only reason why people aren't turning up. People's work commitments at the weekends take priority and as I work 7 out of 8 Saturday's I rarely get to games now unless I request a date off especially What I meant to say was the open section is an option made available to fans, or for a few quid more you can sit in the North Stand instead. But don't get upset over having this section available to fans if you can't make it to games and your kids don't want to go either. I'm not upset, I was just questioning your reasoning on thinking £12 per child for an unsheltered area was decent. It should be £10 for an adult in those areas.

  8. Yeah I was quite surprised at the score tbh. Maybe it'll show the junior fans they may be getting left behind by the lowland league.
  9. Where's dougal gone?
  10. Sorry about being off topic.... Not quite sure what film that is but I did watch a movie a couple years back about Scottish amateur cyclist Graeme Obree. The film covers the period of Obree's life (late 80s to 90s I think) that saw him take, lose, and then retake the world one-hour distance record. He's played by Jonny Lee Miller and I actually thought it was a decent underdog watch.
  11. Apart from the Shinnie brothers was the last set of brothers to be called up to the Scotland squad (not at the same time)
  12. I mentioned Jackie, just like last time though there isn't that many attractive names going around. McCall would be another good shout if Hughes was to leave. Or for fun could we just get pele back in.
  13. If it isn't foran i'd be very surprised. He has been built up as the replacement for the past two years. Failing that I think Jackie McNamara wouldn't be a bad choice.
  14. Yeah it is billy McKay, did Jonny tuffey ever play for his country while with us? Easiest for me to remember was Richard Hastings for Canada. Any others?
  15. After the way he left ICT for Hibs, I think you must be in a small minority of ICT fans who feel any sympathy , or sorrow, for him. As to him being an ICT legend, well I don't think so. 'Legend' is banded about far to readily these days, imo, not only by your good self, but by other posters on this forum when talking about ex players. For me a legend will have earned that respect over a considerably longer spell than Terry's relatively short spell with us. Just out of curiosity who do you feel is a legend at ICT then? I get the whole you have to be around for a few years to get that status such as Charlie Christie or Ross tokely but I still think an influential person coming in for 4-5 years can still be classed a legend. One of my favourite players that seems to have fallen behind certain strikers such as Rooney, McKay in the 'hall of fame' because of their achievements at a higher level is Paul Ritchie, at the time he left I definitely thought he was an ict legend for what he had done with us. I actually think the same can be said about pele and butcher for them taking us to another level. A legend to me is someone who will be remembered for achieving greatness. There is a few I can think of that have shone above the rest and can be remembered for iconic moments in our short history.
  16. Clyde Arbroath Montrose Spartans East Stirlingshire Cove Rangers Queen’s Park Nairn County Forres Mechanics Linlithgow Rose Turriff United East Fife Annan Athletic Edinburgh City Auchinleck Talbot Inverurie Loco Works my picks for the next round, I can't see too many upsets happening.
  17. This is a good draw for us. Let's hope we can get to another cup semi....Hearts at Easter Road for the 3rd time in 4 years?
  18. I think he might have meant the players he will be playing beside are of a better pedigree.
  19. I remember how buzzing I was the first time I saw that advert! Getting a bit off topic in terms of books and magazines, but I remember a programme with Gordon Ramsey where they were sitting at the Caley stadium during a game an had an Aberdeen Angus burger at half time, don't ask me what it was about though! Sad enough to know that was 'Kitchen Nightmares' and an episode featuring Abstract at La Riviera..... and the match? Our first home game in the spl v Dunfermline. I was sitting a few rows from him in the away end.
  20. Last time I remember meeting them in any competition was an incredible 10 years ago in the 1/4 final of the same cup. Dargo put us ahead in the first minute and we pummelled them only for them to equalise just on half time. Eventually lost to a Paul Dalglish goal in e.t. Extremely gutting as only Dunfermline, Celtic and Motherwell were left in. They had names like Snodgrass and an animal called Pinxten and somebody called Brittain. We had The Machine and Russeldinho, Bambi, Bazza and Rossco. I was at that game, Dalglish scored with only a couple minutes left if I remember correctly. I felt there was a curse on us and we couldn't make the step up to the league cup semi final. Was that the last time we played them?
  21. I'm afraid Elgin mean absolutely nothing to me except the fact they have been rubbish since moving into the third division.
  22. Yeah I agree with Murchison, I went to school in Livingston through our growth from 2nd to first division and the rivalry was great. I always seen them as our main rivals even more so than Ross County so i'm looking forward to tonight's clash even if we have left them behind over the past 10 years.
  23. Poor Ryan Esson as well! He was doing absolutely fine and I bet he was glad to be back in the side only to be replaced by someone we didn't need. Why only a loan contract until jan? Is someone suddenly going to become available who we can sign? We need a striker for the season so let's get one. Even if he is in as cover in midfield Doran is out for the full season and Christie may well leave in Jan if Celtic are struggling.
  24. I seen on Sky Sports that he is listed in the squad for Wales, although it says he plays for Tranmere!
  25. I used to use the supporters bus whenever I could when I stayed up north. Its been a few years now but being over in Bucharest reminded me how fun it can be to travel on a bus to the game with fellow fans.
