Ok now we are in January i think its time we start thinking about renewing contracts and thinking about who may be here at the end of the season. So far the players out of contract at the end of the season are: Lee Cox Ryan Esson Richie Foran Kenny Gillet Jonny Hayes David Proctor Ross Tokely Jonny Tuffey Greg Tansey Gregory Tade (with option of 2nd year) Billy McKay Chris Hogg ( Being offered a new contract) Out of all of these players i'd like us to keep everyone except Proctor and McKay as i think we can get better players in. I was a fan of Proctor but unless theres a vast improvement in his form in the second half of the season i don't think he merits a new contract. A lot of our key players expire in the summer and thats quite scary. I don't want another overhaul at the end of the season like last time so we need to work hard in signing these players up. Obviously we take one game at a time but which one would you prefere to win? I guess the cup seeing as its the first.

Id take a semi final at Hampden over top 6 this season, its been far too long since our last visit.

So given that if we beat Celtic in the cup we have a great chance of getting to Hampden would you rather a win in the cup or points in the league to keep up the good form for top 6. Realistically we aren't going to win both but playing them twice in a week is giving us a great chance to take something.

We've picked up form since Jonny came back into the team, hes scoring a fair amount of goals too as well as creating them. Hes defo not over rated, he deserves the status of being our best player IMO.

Morton or Ayr away, but i'd much prefere a home tie against someone in a lower division. The lower the better.

Davis was one of the stand out players in what has been a very poor season for us so far, Our 2nd worst if not the worst. I would have loved for him to stay to prove he could have been one of our greatest players but its too late for that now and hes moving on, I personally wouldn't play anyone who i knew wasn't going to be here next week so if he is available today i would be starting someone else like Cox or Morrison injury permitting. Best of luck DD for the future and i too will be looking out to see how your career is doing down south.

Aiden McGeady has done well in Russia i thought, Although born in Scotland now playing for Ireland. I would say though that its not just Scottish players that has struggled to perform abroad. I don't recall many British players at all being a success in foreign countries and i believe this is down to our ignorance as a nation in learning new languages, either that or we just aren't good enough. How is Odhiambo doing in Turkey?

I think I'd be having to watch the game through my fingers if that was the centre-back pairing! I wonder if that combination would even manage in the first division. Our Defence seems to be very weak right now and it makes me nervous. I like Proctor but i'm starting to feel his footballing ability has gone. I hope he comes good now that Hogg is out anyway, I would much rather have an ICT player starting every game than another fairly dodgy CB whos only on loan.
