Everything that has been said is true but i want to know where our extra fans for the derby games go to. Celtic we all know the attendance is up because of full away stand and obvious Celtic fans in the home ends to swell the crowd up. But we get bigger Derby crowds and yes they do bring more than the average away crowd but we still manage to increase our gate slightly. So if people turn up to the Derby why do they not for other games? The derby is a Derby and so is slightly different to the average run of mill game but if most people hate the stadium location and believe it lack soul and atmosphere how does it differ that much against County.

I agree yesterday but Watkins is quick and he will get better but his delivery and attempt to shot were not good enough but he did a couple of times surge forward when he had space but with only billy up again we lacked options and it fizzled out. I do think Danny Williams is quick and i was surprised he want on the bench as i think Hughes likes him but in the summer we need an attacking midfielder to play in that link role unless he moves some people about. A new striker maybe a couple or even 3 if Billy does leave to give us more options and maybe a pacey winger to add. We may not need them all, we have a great squad which is all mainly tied up now so it isnt a big job just a small number of additions to tweek the squad to go even better next season.

Thats one point if we are not creating much then why not take a few more efforts outside the box as we did have a few times where we were outside the area and we tried to play through and lost the ball. I think yesterday shows that when Yogi gets the tactics right then we are hard to beat but in the summer we need a new striker and maybe a link player to get us back to our free flowing best from the start of the season

I don't think we should look to much at tiredness being the biggest factor in the penalty misses. We get through to the final playing almost an hour with 10 and about half an hour with 9 and we still looked so assured from the spot. Yesterday we had all 11 on the field and we werent under constant pressure in Et as we were at the semi so i think it is wrong to over analyse it. In the end a penalty shoot out is a lottery, we won to get through we lost yesterday it happens

i was near the front on 114 and yes were sat down but it was hard to stand up because most people were sitting and it made it hard to stand especially with a young boy sat just behind me. But make no mistake we were up out of seats every time the boys came near the goal and i was out of my seat more than once to tell the dons fans to sit down when they became overly excited. When i was one work experience at the Daily Express i met Hugh Keevins a few times and he ws the most boring guy i have met. While every other journo from a range of different papers were cracking jokes and having fun while we waited for Neil Lennon (who was being interviewed) Keevins made very little input and when he did speak it was slow drones of guff out of his mouth. He is a dinosaur in a new age where stories are not all about bigotry and sectarianism. As for our lack of songs we do have individual songs for players and Aberdeen didn't have a massive songbook past stand free and Aberdeen Aberdeen. The only reason why they made a louder noise than us at times is because of the small fact of them having over 30,000 more people there.

Hugely Disappointed but immensely proud of the club and the terrible numbers we took to a cup final . Seriously though we were so outnumbered but we never fogotten as we made just as much noise and when the players especially Foran waved there arms up to rouse us we responded and even went toe to toe with the Aberdeen supporters fantastic support. Had a great day but looking back on yesterday i am even more disappointed at the lack of pressure we put on the Aberdeen goal. I understand Hughes after the two 5-0 hammering's and i believe had it not been that bad we may have been slightly more expansive. I think Doran didn't play from the start because of the a slight knock otherwise he had to start. The game was poor but we did show glimmers of good interchange but we just went far to direct half of the time to put there back line under pressure. And when we did get in behind them our crossing was horrible. Barry Robson was definitely winning the worst free kick competition but then Doran stepped up near the end and hit was had to be the winner with an awful attempt. But what we lacked in quality we didn't in passion and effort and for people who slated Billy's penalty, well he was dead so i cant fault him. Overall great day disappointing result but i know have a craving for more finals in the future.

Europe will be a fun novelty for the club but it is unlikely to yield anything in terms of a return. It is very expensive will mean we will lose money as the preliminaries don't give much in prize money and we are unlikely to get very far anyway. That said it would be wonderful for the club to represent Scotland on a European front but to before that we need build towards. Sunday is a massive day for the club and most people have eluded that it could be the makings of the next chapter for the club to go forward. Being a Man Utd fan i understand when people say the Scottish is more important and i would agree to wanting to win the FA Cup more than the league cup. But i don't understand this apathy towards the league cup in Scotland as it is a trophy and lets be honest there are only two trophies a club outside the old firm will ever win as the league will always be one of them two. If we win on Sunday it will be one of the greatest days i will ever have being at a sporting event and i am sure a lot of others feel the same. The league cup should be given the same amount of respect as the Scottish cup for a club our size as a trophy is a trophy and we have earned being in the final just to take the last hurdle.

Think everything has already been said, uninspiring stuff but we got some positives. Even though everybody wanted a win especially as it was the first time we faced Terry Butcher but i think most people would have taken this if we hadn't been battered in our last two matches. The most important aspects are we didn't get any injuries to any of our key players and we kept a clean sheet which i think was a must. Another positive seems to be that Foran was dropped back into midfield again which think is his best position where he can influence the game more. We didn't score but we were missing nearly all of our central midfield options so i don't think we can complain that much. I know this is a professional footballers full time job so every game is important but it must be hard for them not to think about Sunday and have there mind fully on tonight especially being fully committed to take on tackles. Even though i did hear Foran had a moment which doesn't surprise me as he tries every game. But we are pretty much now guaranteed top six and even though we could have been closer we are still within touching distance of Motherwell and jump United so roll on sundayyyyyy
-
would hope we are near or even over the initial allocation
-
Of course i agree I believe that we can still catch Motherwell so Wednesday is more than just a confidence booster for Sunday. It will also make sure we are Top six which is a great achievement two seasons in a row.

Right so I am annoyed as many people are after today's debarcle which has been piled on top of last weeks drubbing as well. But and Im sure i will get shot down by many on here with emotions still running high but lets have a week of positive thinking and genuine excitement ahead of the biggest day in our clubs history and for us as supporters of the club. Whatever you think of Hughes and our last two games go and vent on another topic but i want to create some good feeling as I am absolutely buzzing for next week. Today has taken the gloss off but come the end of the week Im going to be on cloud nine. We have been good until the last two matches so there is no reason why, especially with it being a final that we cannot get a performance that deserves to win a national cup final. So Comon everybody lets get behind the boys and show that we deserve to belong at the top table of Scottish football

Brill may have not had a great game last week and seemed at fault for the first 2 today but the second is harsh when the defender should have just cleared his lines. But to seriously think about dropping him before such a huge game next weekend would be absolutely stupid. He may be edgy and i dont know fully today as i missed the majority of the game but i know he made some top draw saves last week to make sure it wasn't any worse. The defence also have to look at themselves and last week they looked all over the place and it seems today they were no better. Singling out Brill for a horrid team performance is harsh and i fully expect him to remain as our first choice keeper.

The thing is I like hughes going 4-4-2 more often than Butcher as it gives a plan B but that is what it is plan B. We built so much of our success with the 4-2-3-1 and yes on occasions it has failed to work but that is where 4-4-2 could be used if we need but not as a starting tactic. The thing is we got to next Sunday's final and beat Aberdeen at Pittordrie using this system under Hughes so he knows it works. I am English and have seen my country play 4-4-2 for the last 10 years when other nations have adapted and play more fluid systems, we have been left behind. 4-4-2 is an outdated formation that can be used if we need to go more direct to try and score goals but it offers no fluidity and teams play in straight lines and become very predictable. The one thing i would say though is that system should make it very hard for teams to break down the opposition as it is very rigid so why we have conceded so many has to come down to our defence im afraid

decided that i will go to pub listen to yogi say 4-4-2 and we will give it a go and stay in the pub for the duration of match

Not going to have a pop at any of our regulars who couldn't make the game today as i know the Ness half marathon was today but at £10 an adult and £5 for a child to get a crowd just over 3,000 when Dundee United almost filled the whole south stand is shocking. I was gutted i would miss the first half due to being at work but i ma glad i missed all the carnage now. Only positive is we didn't lose by anymore

coming up from England on Wednesday to stay with my sister in Dundee. Getting the bus into Glasgow at half 8 to meet some friends before off to Rutherglen to wet the vocal chords before the game. Going to drink whatever the result but either way it will be celebratory as i am proud that we have got to this and if we lose the players still deserve a lot of credit for making this a great day out for fans. Heading back to Dundee later, more drinking before sleeping for the next week
-
With the supporters buses that are due there should be around 200 ICT fans in attendance. Cheers see you there then e

Totally agree that Aberdeen should be allowed some of the top tier if we are not going to sell it which it pretty likely to happen. I went to Wembley last September for the England v Scotland clash and i was sat underneath all the Scotland fans and there wasn't anything thrown from the upper tiers. That is much higher risk fixture that us v Aberdeen. You do get some idiots in every support but if they need more and it is going empty then why not.
