Our going ons are a mystery to the fans.

#togetherness is long gone. The CEO in particular has done nothing to bring people together but rather created mistrust and division. Be that between fans and the club, the community and the club or businesses and the club etc. Regardless of what stands may or may not be open (wouldn't want to move to the Main) I certainly don't intend to renew my season ticket so long as Scot Gardiner is employed at the club. Simple as that, he's a toxic narcissist.

Are you actually an ICT supporter? When you're not watching County of course.
-
At least we have Longstaff for another season
-
Looking forward to Ferguson's interview saying he was happy with how we played and how great our away form is

I'd expect concerts to make money and not rip off local businesses. I'd expect not to give contract extensions to crap managers then replace them 6 games later with another incompetent manager with an name just to boost his ego. I'd expect not treating fan groups with utter contempt. I'd expect not launching BS roof building schemes then taking money and quietly cancelling it. I'd expect not bringing us to the brink of part time football, relegation or worse. I wouldn't be surprised if he has no KPIs at all. I think Morrison just employed him and let him do whatever he wants.

At least they aren't peddling the BS line about it being as per SFL rules etc etc If there's a nonsensical, convoluted and awkward way to do something, you can be damn sure we'll find a way to do it. #TheICTway

It's what got us in the relegation playoffs in the first place.

We had a 'Director of Sport' recently. I don't know what other sports we were involved with other than football but he certainly didn't seem to do much of anything other than commentating at Victoria Park every second week and cutting the grass behind the jannies house at the IRA on the pitches we used to play on. I totally see where you're coming from around our lack of direction in terms of a long term vision or strategy. We have never done this well. The club rely massively on the ICT Community Trust to try and connect with the wider community and to promote the ICT 'brand' which is backwards imo. There have been some other steps that have been positive like now having an ICTWFC Academy linked to the club and my daughters are proud to represent ICT but that doesn't bring in any new paying fans. Plus as OCG has explained there's little extra to offer the current fans and in fact, I feel much less valued as a fan than I've ever in the past. Now I see the sports bar is closed for the game tomorrow. We're a bloody strange club.

We got rid of the tragic looking portakabin and moved the shop/ticket office into the building! Aside from that....

Ferguson's thoughts. Looks like a rabbit in the headlights to me.

So either the club is being sleekit with it's media (quite possible) or we're so tinpot that they don't actually know the regulations (also quite possible). Nobody expected the season tickets to include play off games whatever the situation, they just don't like being fed a BS line about it being out of the club's hands. They also forgot to add in the 16 to 20 discount tickets for the North Stand initially on the announcement and had to change that.

On the plastic pitch?

Ferguson's musings on the game tomorrow.

https://montrosefc.co.uk/2024/05/06/next-up-33/ Nothing on our site. ETA - I looks like there's a Pixalot stream available for £15. Hope the near linesman has a full head of hair

The administration were such awkward a-holes to the volunteers who did it over time they pretty much all jacked it.
-
Quite bizarre that the club haven't asked this. Up to their usual level of comms with the fans I suppose.

That's certainly one in a long line of poor decisions from our current CEO (and by letting him make them the board). I think appointing Foran as manager (and in our typical way letting him linger way too long after it clearly wasn't working out) was a huge error. Appointing Yvonne Crook as CEO (yes remember her) was a huge error as she knew absolutely nothing about football or running a football club. We of course followed up with Scot 'Bluenose' Gardiner, while having at least a football background he left a trail of clubs where if we'd spent 5 mins speaking to his previous clubs and their supporters you'd get a clear picture of narcissistic incompetence. Admittedly he has achieved a lot since arriving - alienating fans, betraying local businesses, disrespecting and ignoring the Trust, half empty concerts, failed fan forums, failed 'raise the roof' campain, overt obsessive pro-Rangers stance, BS re the Freeport benefits and a continuous slide downwards on the pitch. To name a few. I do appreciate the board and others who have contributed financially however these appointments are their doing and they have to take responsibility for that. On the park we've had Robbo who stepped back as manager and we kept paying him for years to do God knows what, thereafter Billy likes Fitba who while seemed a nice guy wasn't up to the task and his recruitment was pretty atrocious. Now we have Big Dunc on an alleged £4k a week with whom I've seen nothing to give me much confidence he can recruit or manage the team at anything more than a bog standard level. I could prattle on but you get the gist. Every time me make a big decision especially around recruitment, it's a poor one and we let people linger around far too long.

It is in our own hands. Unfortunately any time we've had it in our own hands we've blown it. I've no faith we can stay up. Hope I'm very wrong.

I don't think they ever suggested it was the only place in existence with a connection to the grid. Just the only one that ICT could make use of. Interesting to hear the HC response to the one in Essich as it is 4 times the size of the Fairways one. I expect that the loss of green space in this case will be unconscionable.
-
Did you check your spam folder? Probably in there with all Big Dunc's shooting drills.
-
Ref's radio wasn't working apparently.
-
I'm trying to think of someone I dislike enough to suggest this offer to.

I thought that's what he would be instilling but it certainly doesn't appear so from what I've watched. Also why would he be trying to foster a 'dogs of war mentality' when he feels we are, I quote 'excellent' and 'brilliant' according to him? I can only surmise that he is quite happy that the team is playing the way he wants, even if we lose/drop points. He seems completely unmoved but the urgency of the situation and how precarious things are not just for this season and relegation but for the future of our club. I wasn't hugely enamoured by his signing as I didn't see what he was bringing to the club for a 3 year deal. Limited managerial experience for a club our size, little knowledge or experience of Scottish football and a poor managerial track record. Just seemed to be on the back of his 'fame' and being someone Scot Gardiner would love to parade around. However I was happy to give him a chance as I am with all new players and managers but there's nothing I've seen to indicate a battling, seige mentality I thought he might bring, just ponderous, one dimensional football and referee blaming. Another masterstroke from our illustrious CEO.

I get the impression that we should just be grateful that someone of his renown had decided to come up to our backwater. Poor results are just a minor inconvenience.
