  1. Over the 2 matches, the best performance was from Mat Northcroft, the ref!
  2. Job done, but at the price of 4 yellows and what looks like an ankle injury to Fisher.
  3. Oh dear. This is not what we need.
  4. The annoying thing is, if we'd won at Rugby Park, like pretty much everyone else has (Killie have only 3 home wins, and two of them are against us!) then we'd be 10 points clear of 11th and only one point off 4th. We'd be having a very different discussion just now.
  5. Wilson Robertson, away at East Stirlingshire in the club's first competitive game, a 2-0 League Cup win.
  6. That is undoubtedly a good thing BUT the articles can be changed at any time if enough of the other shareholders so desire. As an aside, the articles still state that the club's kit colours shall be predominantly blue, with red and/or black not exceeding 25%.
  7. The Catto family own and run Scotlog Sales, so your speculation may well turn out to be correct.
  8. The natural objective of the hospice will be to maximise the income it can get from selling these shares, but selling to the highest bidder leaves ICT in a position where its biggest shareholder could be someone completely undesirable, a Craig Whyte or Giovanni de Stefano for example. It would be good if the donor of the shares applied conditions or a right of veto for their subsequent resale. If the donor is indeed the Trust which is controlled by people with ICT's interests at heart, I'm sure they'd have thought of this. Or perhaps the club's Articles already contain some sort of conditions on share transfers requiring Board approval or such like?
  9. Based on the last annual return, here's the ownership of our club prior to this share transfer:
  10. I believe the only person/entity owning at least 20% of the shares is the charitable trust set up in 2000, whose directors include David Sutherland and David Stewart. Of the other big shareholders (Muirfield Mills, Orion and Scotlog) none exceed 15%. The identity of the donor will be confirmed when the club files its next annual return in March.
  11. More likely because Christie's games were early in the season when our injury list was something of a crisis. His appearances also largely coincided with Lopez playing upfront instead of Storey.
  12. Some fascinating stats on this thread. I'm sure Sneckboy will be keen to comment, just as soon as he's finished wiping down his keyboard and monitor!
  13. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that, but I fear the attendance might now struggle to break 1,000.

He was just too slow and ponderous for this league, but clearly has a bit of skill. A return to the lower levels of Spanish football might even enable him to score into double figures this season, just as Yogi promised!
  15. Not a good one for us, but looking at the draw, the only team that can justifiably and confidently expect to be in the last 8 is Celtic. Edit: Oh, and perhaps Partick Thistle!

Doesn't fancy his chances of getting ahead of Alex Fisher in the pecking order.
  17. Oh to have had the creativity of Ryan Christie as well, I'm pretty sure he'd have unlocked that defence with a bit of craft.
  18. What got me was that in the 2nd half we got a large number of crosses into the box but hardly any of them seem to find an ICT player, in fact most of them were overhit.
  19. It's quite striking that after scoring in 10 consecutive games, we draw a blank against part-timers from the 4th flight, who have conceded 3 in each of their last 2 games, v East Fife and East Stirling!
  20. There will be plenty of critcism of ICT, and much of it will be deserved, but the first thing I want to say is to give credit to Stirling, who should be very pleased with their solid performance. They were very well organised, kept their shape resolutely and defended very well. Hitting on the break they had chances to snatch a win too.

The comments from John Collins today were certainly quite encouraging in that ICT seem to be Celtic's preferred destination, but it really depends if the player wants to come here or not. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35265183 If the mooted moves do come to fruition, we'll have done very well in this transfer window to have Lopez out and Stokez in.
  22. ".....and besides the chance of first team football, Anthony, it might interest you to know that Inverness is the home of the I.R.A."

I'm presuming he's referring to the 2-0 v Hearts when he "went down easily" and got Oshaniwa sent off?

Predictably, other clubs are rumoured to be after Stokes, including Hibs and Leeds.

You're absolutely right there, the lack of quotes or source makes it look like a lazy journalist just filling column inches - BUT it is interesting to note that the Scotsman and Express are running with the same story.
