  1. May 2004 was a big month for ICT, and on 15th May it will be exactly 10 years since we beat St Johnstone to claim a place in the SPL (subject to groundshare and the Partick legal saga). May 2004 started with a 0-0 at home to Falkirk (complete with Hughes and Latapy), followed by the massive 2-1 win at title rivals Clyde. That put us in charge of our own destiny for "helicopter Saturday", and we held our nerve to win 3-1 and celebrated in style, both on and off the pitch. What are your memories of that time?
  2. Big game tonight for our two favourite managers. What do you want the outcome to be?

    Elena Baltacha

Very sad to lose anyone so young. My neighbour died recently of the same illness, only 3 weeks after finding out she had it. The question of whether someone's death merits a minutes silence is a very tricky one for the club, and they have to consider the precedent it sets (family members of people who were once part of the club?). As far as I'm aware Elena had nothing at all to do with ICT (or St Johnstone for that matter) and I'm sure there are stronger cases that have been knocked back, such as prominent and longstanding supporters of the club. It would be wrong to ignore her passing altogether though and I'm sure the club will come up with something suitable.
  4. County and Butcher are both in contention for the relegation play-off place.
  5. Presumably that is because the provider is very concerned about the risk of being hit with chargebacks, ie if you pay for a season ticket by credit card and the club is unable to fulfil its fixtures, you can claim a refund through the card company. Punters who will instead have to pay Rangers by cash or cheque will have no such protection. Their whole business model seems to be based on increasing season ticket sales, but everything that is happening will have the opposite effect. Off out to get some popcorn.
  6. Reminds me of the time I walked past (honest!) a well known gay pub, and because there was some work being done to the door that day there was a sign up saying, I kid ye not, "Please use rear entrance."
  7. I think what Roughi has done is to say whether the home or away team will win, but without actually saying who the home team actually is for any of the fixtures. On that basis he does get to 10 points, but in a very unclear and confusing way.
  8. Well, 15 points is slightly more achievable than 14!
  9. 3 points
  10. May 17 is also the day that Scotrail have decided to carry out engineering works with the result that there will be no trains at all from Perth To Glasgow that weekend.
  11. Wolfsburg used to be managed by Wolfgang Wolf.
  12. The nearest I can get is Joe Jordan facing Israel!
  13. Or if your glass half empty, everyone's taken something from us!
  14. Having reached the split and played everyone 3 times, here's how many points we have earned from the other teams in the league. Out of a possible 9, obviously: 7 Hibs, Hearts 6 County, St Johnstone, Killie 5 St Mirren 4 Dundee Utd, Partick 3 Aberdeen, Motherwell 1 Celtic It's not too far away from what you might expect given the league placings of the teams. We have probably outperformed a bit against Hibs and maybe underperformed a bit against Partick.
  15. Well done Yogi and the team.
  16. Really hope Hughes gets us a decent performance and result (but mainly result) v County tonight - otherwise this forum is gonna go into meltdown!
  17. Butcher Pele [then a big gap] Christie Brewster 1 Robbo [then a big gap] Hughes Baltacha Brewster 2
  18. Sounds a bit like this one.
  19. Can I add: 12. Baffled by his decision to cut the number of strikers in the squad from 3 to 1, knowing that we had a congested fixture list up ahead of us.
  20. Most clubs bring in a new manager hoping for a turnaround in fortunes, but not getting one. With Hughes, we were the exact opposite
  21. The only silver lining to this latest cloud is that the defeat was very predictable, to the extent that I had a successful bet on the outcome. Did the same last week v Dundee Utd. Sometimes you can just see it coming. All too often, these days.
  22. After tonight, Hughes has won just 1 of his 9 home league games.
  23. Delighted it was Christie who got the goal. First of many, I hope. Now come on ICT!
