😀 Feel free to add your own ICT trivia questions. The answer to them does not have to be Ben Greenhalgh.

Another question. Which former ICT player had a spell as a PGA professional golfer?
-
Trivia question
Yeah that’s it, as STFU had already figured out. He is currently player manager at Margate FC (Greenhalgh, not STFU).

Season Tickets + Resignation Confirmation
I first shared this quote a few weeks ago from Reading FC’s supporters’ trust. They have had a fairly similar situation to us regarding financial problems, regime change and potential new investors. “We recommend that anyone purchasing a season ticket considers using a credit card for added security. “If, for any reason, the Club cannot fulfil the season ticket, paying by credit card ensures that you would receive a refund (pro rata) under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.”

In Dunc I TRUST
Got any family members who’d be willing to have a go at playing for us?

Raith Rovers Pre-Season
We had Haspell on trial last season. He later signed for Queens Park.

Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
Being a shareholder and a director are completely unrelated. Hundreds of ICT fans are one but not the other. Companies house filings for the battery company confirm the issue of new shares and the 3 individuals having significant control, >25% each. Morrison confirmed all this on the podcast.
-
Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
ICT only owns 1% of the battery farm company, so on the face of it it’s not really our problem (or asset) any more. Morrison/Munro/Cameron purchased 33% each for a total of £250,000 and will be the ones who gain if the project proceeds.

Accounts
That’s not quite how it works. Forecasts are inherently subjective and nothing is ever guaranteed, but auditors have to review the financial projections and question/challenge the assumptions therein. They can face much worse than reputational damage if they wrongly sign off on going concern. Nothing is certain, but there must at least be a credible plan for survival.

Accounts
The thing that surprises me about these accounts is that we made our pretty normal level of loss for a Championship season despite the very lucrative cup run (and to a much lesser extent, despite the income from renting out the stadium for concerts). The underlying trading performance must have been horrific, and I would imagine that the accounts for the season just ended will be a complete car crash, with a large reduction in revenues but not so much reduction in cost.

ICT Supporters Trust Statement: Pre-season
Pretty sure Muirfield Mills disbanded as a consortium about 5 years ago, and should be considered as a number of small individual shareholders - making things even more fragmented than you thought.

Nairn County pre-season
3-1 win FT, perfectly good result.

Nairn County pre-season
I’ll be watching the Turkey match but following the ICT score from here in Olu Deniz, named after Deniz Wynez.

Clach Game
Pleasantly surprised we won’t this, given the squad and the lack of training. Tougher tests lie ahead though.
-
Clach Game
I know. When he was winning the cup with us, we’d all have much more readily believed that in his peak years he would be playing for The Rangers, not Brora Rangers.

Kelty/ Is this a joke - merged thread
Perhaps the situation was that with the threat of administration hanging over us at that time and no rescue deal on the table, we were simply unable to offer contracts at that time. Unlawful trading. Still doesn’t explain the club’s slightly misleading statement- although reading it again it says undisclosed transfer agreement, which is true, rather than undisclosed transfer fee. Big difference.

Our squad next season
Yes he has, that’s been in the public domain for weeks. Whether it was a gesture offered by him or something written into his contract in case of relegation, we don’t know. I suspect the latter. But anyway, the reason we are still paying an expensive manager whilst letting go of other staff to cut costs is because the manager has a contract whilst others are out of contract. There’s no chance we’d be sticking with Ferguson if it wasn’t so expensive to get rid of him.
-
Our squad next season
Indeed, but let’s not forget, we are in League 1 and we have no money. Drastic cost cutting and unpalatable decisions were inevitable.
-
Our squad next season
Such cynicism. The lad has obviously done enough in training to impress the manager. 😀
-
Our squad next season
The club is in limbo just now, nobody seems to be in charge and it has very little money. Nothing is going to change for the better unless or until the proposed new investment comes in.

She also sang “Tell me lies…” but hopefully that isn’t the case here!

Oh dear, I’ve probably given Gardiner the idea of a Status Quo concert at the stadium!
