psv eindhoven 10-0 feyornoord
I liked the Liverpool story a couple of weeks ago about the statue of John Lennon at the local airport. Underneath it is a plaque with the line from Imagine, "Only skies above us" to which someone had added "only West Ham below us!"

Scottish Cup 3rd round draw
Indeed, but Wick's trip to Kirkcudbright a couple of years ago surely can't be beaten as the longest journey in Scottish football.

John Robertson
I don't think he'll be rushing back to that job! It's a real shame that Robbo has had to drop so far to get back into management, he should be in Div 1. Best of luck to him, he deserves success, and its also a very good move by East Fife.

Get off the fence Terry

Rory MacAllister
Indeed, but unlikely to happen based on this interview from earlier this year, in which he said "there would be no point, for example, just moving to the lower end of the First Division" Anyway, Rory is doing a plumbing apprenticeship at the moment, and to give that up for full time football would be something of a wrench.

Rory MacAllister
Finally, that Barrowman/McAllister dream team you always wanted!

Blackpool want dundees griffiths
It feels even better saying 12 points - and that's still without a game in hand.

Stadium Location
First the name, then the stadium. Presumably Dougal's next thread is going to be a poll on whether the choice of red and blue for the club colours is keeping fans away.

Reputation Voting
In football, some players dive to win penalties. The solution is not to abolish penalties. Better to clamp down on anyone who is abusing the system.

Best ever start?
Good point. If I've done my sums right: 04/05 4pts 05/06 11 06/07 11 07/08 7 08/09 10 So this is clearly our best SPL start. Furthermore, we only had 12 points at this stage in our 09/10 promotion season.

Matchday Thread: Kilmarnock -V- ICT
Another great away result for us. Couldn't care less about the quirk of dropping a league place.

Celtic FC Managers Fact
Incredible! Who on earth spotted that? John Barnes is now employed in Waterloo Road, apparently.
-
Rangers Game
Quite simply, the games that attract the highest viewing figures are Old Firm away games, and the broadcasters need viewers to generate subscription income and advertising revenue.

Legends Team
It would be great to see Juanjo but unfortunately he's too far away for that to be realistic.

ICT not worth as much as feeder club
I just can't imagine any inhabitants of Dingwall would be winning prizes in a beauty contest, or for that matter, a crossword competition.
-
ICT not worth as much as feeder club
The only thing that matters is that when it comes to how successful the teams are, ICT have a Monopoly.

Russell Duncan
Shame on you! Over his many years of great service, there has been one noteable weakness. For Superman it is Kryptonite, for Russeldinho it is passing. Many of us have at times been frustrated (understatement!) by his poor passing, winning the ball then giving it away. But from what I've seen of him this season he's sorted out that aspect of his game and I can't see any reason not to play him.

ICT or not ICT?
But did you have the foresight to see that the merger would never have been approved by members if the club names were killed off?

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
A Dee fan I know was telling me weeks ago that Kerr was behind an anti-Chisholm campaign in the dressing room.

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
A lot of people were surprised when Ian McCall turned down the Dundee job earlier this year, but he clearly made a wise decision.

Roll call for the Saints of Perth
What about Falkirk? They're in Division 1 playing Partick.

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
Or as Melville probably would have said if George W. Bush hadn't beaten him to it: "There?s an old?saying in Tennessee?I know it?s in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says Fool me once?(3 second pause)? Shame on?(4 second pause)?Shame on you?.(6 second pause)?Fool me?Can?t get fooled again. "

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
The Dundee board have surely known since we won the league that this was going to happen. They had the chance in the summer to offload more players and to sell off the prize assets of Griffiths and Harkins. If they had acted responsibly Dundee would have surely been secure for another season at least. Whilst it's a shame for genuine Dundee fans, I am absolutely delighted that ICT played a vital role in ensuring that Melville & Co get their comeuppance.

Roll call for the Saints of Perth
It'll be the SPL's first "A9 derby".
