  1. Stumbled across this very quick online quiz on Scottish football, in which ICT are listed as a possible answer to one question. I got 7/10. No cheating now. Guardian quiz
  2. Looks like the pieces of the jigsaw are now in place. Bristol, Yeovil then Aldershot, although the last one is a lot closer to London than to the South West. Wonder where the team will base themselves, Bristol?
  3. So, an attacking player with plenty of running, terrible first touch, poor finishing and doesn't score many goals. Straight replacement for Eric?
  4. What would happen though if the keeper saved/caught the shot, and then to celebrate, blasted the ball into the net? In a penalty shoot out, is the rule that play is still live until the ball comes to a stop?
  5. Keeper got a touch but evidently didn't save it. Wicked backspin, but no doubt that it's a goal.
  6. More to the point, his combined income from football and plumbing will make a lot of SPL players jealous.
  7. All that article needs is the final sentence "And in a completely unrelated move, bookies have stopped taking bets on Dunfermline getting relegated."
  8. If he's happy to drop down to SFL level, he'd be an ideal signing for Cowdenbeef.
  9. Looks like we were indeed trying to arrange a wee tour - Portadown have just announced the cancellation of their friendly v ICT which had been scheduled for 11th July!
  10. Look at the left of the picture - is anyone surprised that one delegate has a whole pile of ballot papers
  11. This would be a very surprising move, if true. Stevenson has spent the last few years flitting round the SFL with Alloa, Morton, Alloa, East Stirling, Alloa, Airdrie etc, and at 26, he is no longer a youngster with potential.
  12. Now saying it's "pretty much a done a deal." Which is inconclusive but still very positive.

    Gary Irvine

He also has a baby on the way and has said that he will favour any team that offers a longer term deal. The most we would go to is 2 years, which is still 1 year more than Dundee are offering him to stay.
  14. Cool, time for us to start working on the "Tansey Dancey" for next season.
  15. I'm not sure I understand this bit from the Sky article that explains why we could get him for no fee. He has been offered a new contract by Stockport. So does this rule apply because he was not offered the new contract more than 60 days before his current deal ended?
  16. That's a great article, well worth a read.
  17. 4 years after we signed Marius, we appear to have the exact same scenario: - ICT need a striker after being unable to keep hold of their out of contract top scorer (Dargo/Rooney) - Marius has faded into the wilderness and needs to relaunch his career (again) - Alan Savage, with Romanian connections through Orion, wants to get involved in running ICT (again) Can you see where this is going? Well, nowhere. We are more likely to sign Nicholas Nickleby than Marius Niculae - unless there's an 'elluva twist to this tale.
  18. Falkirk Herald mentions that Granty had met up with Stephen Pressley who was interested in signing him.
  19. According to Maurice in the Courier, at this moment in time there is no Plymouth game and the trip depends on finding a 3rd opponent. If Plymouth can't be sorted, who else is down there? Exeter? Bournemouth?
  20. When ICT won at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in December, I recall that part of the ruling was that Marius had to pay ICT's costs - which could have amounted to tens of thousands. I suspect that a big part of the agreement now reached will be that ICT do not pursue him for those costs in return for him not pursuing the employment law case at Inverness Sheriff Court. CaleyD might be right that nobody comes out of this looking good, but the facts that will go down in the history books are that Marius claimed he was owed money by ICT, but failed to prove anything, and ICT were completely and utterly vindicated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. All in all, May has been a good month for ICT.
  21. Well done Heilandee, it's not often you see the words "Graham Bayne" and "free scoring" in the same post
  22. Never mind the Plymouth, Bristol, and Linfield fans looking for info - ICT fans wouldn't mind knowing either!
  23. Just to follow up on that, the Linfield and Livingston official websites both state that they are playing us on 9th July. Our official website says nothing. I can't imagine we would be splitting our squad into 2 like we have sometimes done when facing Highland League teams, so it looks like somebody somewhere has got something wrong.
  24. Report here says that we are travelling to Belfast to face Linfield on Sat 9th July. STV However, that is the same date that earlier sources are saying we are due to be playing at Livi, so I wouldn't book the ferry yet until something official is confirmed.
