Matchnight Thread : Celtic -V- ICT
What took you so long! The starting line up made it clear that Terry wasn't expecting to win this one.

2-0 now. Incredibly one sided. This could get very embarrassing.

Samaras through on goal and blasted the bar. Have we touched the ball yet?

I think our phrase for tonight is "It's the league that matters".

Where are they now?
Another bit of useless trivia is that Eagle went on trial in the summer with Leyton Orient, along with Darren Lough and Kenny Gillet.

Where are they now?
I was curious as to what happened to the various players who Terry decided he didn't want. Here's what I've found. Recent Trialists Callum Morris (ex-Newcastle and Ireland U21 defender) - Blyth Spartans Darren Lough (left back, ex-Newcastle) - Ashington AFC Andy Milne (ex-Leeds) - signed for Barrow, but soon got loaned out to Gainsborough Trinity Samuel Oji - still unattached as far as I can see. He was the one who seemed very injury prone, and never featured for us in any friendlies. Gary Mackay Steven - still unattached as far as I can see. He was the other one who seemed very injury prone. Players Released Dan Stratford - Hereford (League 2) Robert Eagle - Grimsby (Conference) Nauris Bulvitis - FK Ventspils (Latvia) Jamie Duff - Elgin Lionel Djebi-Zadi - no idea. I suspect he's playing non-league somewhere in France. Andrew Barrowman - gave up on football altogether Feel free to correct or add to this, or to go back further than last season. All in all though, I don't think Terry will be losing any sleep that he let a star slip through his hands.

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
To add to their woes, Jocky's Scott's legal case against Dundee starts this week. Someone was telling me BTW that Jocky now works as a delivery man for a florist. If I can find out which one it is, I might arrange for them (ie Jocky) to deliver a wreath to Dens with the message "Wha's in charge?!"

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
At the end of the day, ICT beating them to the title could well end up with Dundee FC going into freefall, resulting in yet more misery for their management, players and fans.

Scotsman Article
Best of all, the special surprise that couldn't be mentioned in that article is that the female steward from Easter Road will be personally making amends by offering herself to any ICT fan, provided they do it standing up.

In that pic of Blackie, is it just a trick of the light or is he living up to his "hard man" image, if you see what I mean?

I'm pretty sure that any U21 who is playing regularly in the SPL will be considered, at least, for the national squad.- Top Ten SPL Goals So Far...
That list was compiled before this weekend's games. I think Paddy's latest solo effort might be a new entry at number one. There have been loads of crackers this season so far, enough to make a top 10 that compares well with the best from some entire seasons. I disagree with Chic's number one though, I thought there were several that were much better, and the more I see it the more I think the keeper could have done better.- The penalties yesterday
Yeah I was wondering that too.- Hertz game
I just remembered from the days of unmasking Ewan "Cyril" Murray that we found stuff about him on a London Hearts Supporters website. It seems that they gather to watch games in this pub in Paddington, so if you can "bear" to watch it with them....- Matchday Thread: Hibs -V- ICT
(It was Thicko.) I thought Bamba was pretty immense, a far better and stronger player than I recall us facing when he was a Par. He seemed to win every ball that went anywhere near him, and Rooney was getting nothing out of him. He perhaps got a bit complacent later on and we picked his pocket when in possession a couple of times.- Easter Road Stewards
If I were you I'd be asking ICT to confirm or deny that.- Matchday Thread: Hibs -V- ICT
It certainly coped well with the mass exodus before the end - Matchday Thread: Hibs -V- ICT
He certainly did. Hayes, who'd been tricky all day but lacked a final ball, eventually put in a great ball to the front post, Shane did really well to get in front of his marker but blazed it over when he only had to keep it down and get it the target to win the game for us. Mind you, that was nothing compared to the chances Hibs missed.- Easter Road Stewards
No idea if or why Peter Paul got evicted (as suggested on another thread), but at HT whilst he was at the edge of the pitch I saw that he was talking to a policeman, and it looked like it was about the stewarding as they were looking up to where all the ejections had taken place. I was also told that IHE got chucked out during HT for expressing his views to a steward.- Matchday Thread: Hibs -V- ICT
Yep, Ross was (once again, IMO) the weakest link - although he delivered an absolute blinder of a reverse pass to play Rooney in when he cracked the woodwork. Great vision for that, but it was the only thing he did in the game. When Dani came on he seemed to having a roving forward role, and Eric went to left midfield, and then Sutherland took his place there. So 3 left mids and Roy wasn't one of them. Will we ever see him again?! Dani was buzzing when he came on and I think he did more than enough to earn a start. Gillet seemed to strain something when making a clearance just before HT, and Rosscoe went to left back when Innes came on and was pretty solid there.- Duffy out?
- Waverly to Easter Road
Aye, the walk to the ground is easy enough, you just follow the various factions of ICT casuals. But if he's going to downtown Leith first that's more of a treck.- Waverly to Easter Road
Where you are going follows the tram route, but the downside is you might have to wait a while for one to turn up.- State of Scottish Football
I'm counting on them not turning up. Mind you, last time Scotland's opponents failed to appear, we still only got a 0-0 out of it. - Adam's on the up!
