  1. He's one of those players who seems destined for greater things, so let's enjoy him while he's here.
  2. Perhaps it is.
  3. Brilliant finish, all the more that it was an injury time winner.
  4. Good effort Miss ICT. Now get back to the ironing!
  5. Kevin Drinkell goes to the doctor. "Aha" says Dr Butcher "You've got all the symptoms of not being as good as you think you are" "I'd like a second opinion" says Drinkell. "OK" says Terry. "You're damn bitter too"
  6. McBain: Doctor, doctor, I think I'm invisible. Dr Butcher : Next!
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a minimum fee release clause that is much much lower than any other the figures you talk about. I have no idea whether or not he has any such clause, but it is not uncommon for players (especially highly rated ones) to sign a contract extension with the club they are happy at, but to keep their options open and ensure they can move easily if they wish.
  8. I've got a Dundee supporting colleague who was complaining recently that they never get awarded penalties. 'Ave it!
  9. Nice one. I'm almost tempted to make up a story about Elizabeth Arden meeting Max Factor.
  10. They're supposed to be at a chippy in Auchterarder. I hope Terry is reading them the riot act for being out of position
  11. Great result, but I have to say I am not surprised by it. Well done guys.
  12. Esson :werenotworthy:

Just a wee jibe about the capitalist conspiracy against Comrade Tommy You must be jealous of her
  14. The nearest thing to a confrontation I can recall was on the mixed terraces of Alloa of all places, where a dozen or so of their skinheads were trying to provoke and intimidate our fans.
  15. I liked the Liverpool story a couple of weeks ago about the statue of John Lennon at the local airport. Underneath it is a plaque with the line from Imagine, "Only skies above us" to which someone had added "only West Ham below us!"
  16. Erm, why protest against Vodafone if it was the UK government who let them off? Thr truth is though that they have not evaded any tax. This relates to the complex acquisition of Mannesman (a German company) through a Luxembourg company and the problem is that when you have different states within the EU with completely different tax rates and structures, nobody is going to volunteer to pay more tax than they have to. If you ever subscribed to Setanta or various other TV channels, you would have been paying absolutely no UK VAT because the money goes to Luxembourg where the rate is 4% rather than the UK's 17.5%. In that scenario, should rentamob come round and protest outside your house because you are evading tax?

These evil companies (who provide millions of jobs in the UK) already get taxed at 28%, as well as paying huge amounts in national insurance, VAT and other taxes. If you increase their tax burden much further, the ones affected most will just reregister themselves overseas in a lower tax country, meaning the UK coffers will get less tax revenue than at present. And for the companies who don't go that far, if you take more money out of them, they just invest less, cut jobs etc. Anyway, what are your thoughts on your role model and the thousands of people who are committing perjury just to stitch him up?
  18. Indeed, but Wick's trip to Kirkcudbright a couple of years ago surely can't be beaten as the longest journey in Scottish football.
  19. I don't think he'll be rushing back to that job! It's a real shame that Robbo has had to drop so far to get back into management, he should be in Div 1. Best of luck to him, he deserves success, and its also a very good move by East Fife.
  20. Get off the fence Terry
  21. Indeed, but unlikely to happen based on this interview from earlier this year, in which he said "there would be no point, for example, just moving to the lower end of the First Division" Anyway, Rory is doing a plumbing apprenticeship at the moment, and to give that up for full time football would be something of a wrench.
  22. Finally, that Barrowman/McAllister dream team you always wanted!
  23. If you don't want kids coming to your door on Halloween, do what I do and use the power of the internet to spread malicious rumours about yourself. Works every time

Something caught my attention in the latest instalment of the Scottish Swingers Party perjury trial. One of the people who have owned up to accompanying Tommy Sheridan to Cupids in Manchester has an ICT connection. And no, it's not who you might be thinking Gary Clark was testifying in court today. Who?! He played for Alloa when they beat us in the 1999 Challenge Cup Final - and yes, he scored that day too.
  25. It feels even better saying 12 points - and that's still without a game in hand.
