I actually used to think in his first couple of seasons that Bav was going to become a really good player for us, but he deteriorated when he went full time. He can always proudly proclaim he was one of the Feb 8th team. But having watched the Feb 8th DVD recently, I don't think he'll be wanting anyone to examine his contribution too closely, or at all, for that matter.
  2. [shudders] Perhaps he's coming back in the summer to lead our line in the SPL, having shown yesterday that he can still do it just as effectively as he did with us before.

Can I take it that you've never actually seen him play? An opponent who'd been playing for 10 hours solid would still have more strength and pace than a fully fresh Rory, who was also known to be toppled by the Moray Firth breeze. He joins the same illustrious list as Prunty, Bavidge and Barrowman, who have all shone in that division.

Yeah, I nearly choked on my Frosties he said he wasn't given get enough of a chance at ICT. We'll agree to differ on that one Rory. Also interesting to see that he is doing a plumbing apprenticeship, which the journalist neatly added would be a "wrench" for him to give up if he got a full time offer.
  5. I've just noticed that if you adjust the spacing in the phrase "proud to be a staggie" you get "proud to beast aggie"

They were totally out of their depth have brought embarassment to the good name of "Highland football."

  8. I'd go looting in Dingwall tomorrow if I thought there was anything worth taking.
  9. If I see any of our fans wearing a jester hat tomorrow, I'll stick it where the sun don't shine*. * Dingwall
  10. Oh yes, he'll get all the respect he deserves :D
  11. I think Don Cowie would have to be the winner.

Falkirk are also releasing various others including Vitor Lima and the wonderfully named Enoch Showumni.
  13. I think some of them are paid 10 times what our guys get. Are Hearts finally starting to acknowledge financial reality?
  14. Sounds like there were personal differences.
  15. Presumably the Hamilton fans have stopped chanting "Imrie die!" and such like.
  16. If County win the Cup, at least it will not be mentioned on TV every week for the next 50 years.
  17. Selling Imrie turned out to be a move which was great for all parties concerned. And remember, we would have lost him for nothing this summer anyway.
  18. You could be in charge of drafting player contracts and negotiating settlements when they go wrong.
  19. Renegade for manager, to ensure some additional comedy value.

    Like it!
  21. Falkirk got what they deserved, only 12 months late. And I'm delighted to hear they are keeping Pressley as manager. Are they still the team who has beaten us more times than any other?

Most of your lot think it has 3 syllables!
  23. I was reading that in his last ever game for St J, Paul Sheerin is to be presented with an award as the fans' choice of "Player of the Decade". Previous winners were Roddy Grant (90's) and John Brogan (80's). Who would be ICT's players of the 90's and 00's? I think the idea of a player of the decade has got to take into account the value of the long term contribution made by the player, as opposed to the best player to feature for us at any point during that decade, if you see what I mean. I didn't see much of us prior to 1998, but Charlie and Stewartie would have to be contenders for the 90's. For the most recent decade, my choice would be Tokely. Noughty legend.
  24. Really? Have you seen many Hibs or Dundee Utd games in the last 10 years?
  25. Why not? Because he left us, or because you don't rate him?
