  1. Wouldn't mind Nick Ross starting aswell but don't think we should make too many changes.
  2. A good interview with Yogi - worth a listen.
  3. Unfortunately, I think the days of Richie being our talisman are behind us. He's obviously taking a while to regain fitness after what's clearly been a bad knee injury. These things often take longer to recover from at 34-years-old than at 24-years-old! But I feel he'll be a peripheral figure when he's fit for selection. Initially he's going to be so far off the pace - he's going to need a few Development League games, one would imagine. On a different note, has Ibra Sekajja just not been good enough? His contract is up soon and he's hardly featured! Apparently Sekajja will be leaving when his deal is up.

  5. I found it mindboggling that people around me left the game 10 mins into the second half.
  6. Eh? Raven is a feckin donkey ! we need a right back for sure. no ICT player can put their hand up and say they tried today, they were a total mess, no effort no attitude and def. no idea how to combat Parpricks in the face football. Brill also needs to look at his performance, he was a shambles apart from his one good save. Really disappointed with the team. hope this in not a collapse like last season at this stage. That's a pretty harsh assessment IMO. Raven was all over the pitch defending and pushing forward, even covering at left back when Shinnie wandered over to the right in the first half. The 'goal' that he scored should have stood from my angle in the main stand but will watch highlights tomorrow. In no way is David Raven a 'donkey', if anything at times I would class him as an unsung hero. I also think its a harsh analogy to say the players didn't try, of course they tried. In all honesty we were defeated by a good football team today- it happens!
  7. All in all, I thought we were beaten by the better team today. Partick Thistle done really well with keeping the ball on the ground and moved the ball a lot quicker and catching us on the fast break which ultimately saw them come out comfortable winners today. I felt that after such a good performance at Dens, Christie and Doran should have been in the starting eleven today but we kept things very similar and played pretty much like we did in the first half of the game last weekend. Got to win next weekend - United and Aberdeen only a point behind.

  9. According to the official ICT Twitter page yesterday the under soil heating is on and also heard the covers were down yesterday so pitch should be fine.
  10. Ian Baraclough the new Motherwell boss.
  11. or as alluded above, St Mirren might be more appealing to him or he is waiting for the job at Ibrox? The latter looking likely.
  12. Apparently he thought he was getting the Motherwell job. He then wanted more information and then got the impression he wasn't the man they wanted so he's pulled out before he could get rejected. St Mirren bound?
  13. The Caley Thistle players.
  14. or as alluded above, St Mirren might be more appealing to him or he is waiting for the job at Ibrox?
  15. Pitch didn't pass the inspection and as stated yesterday the game is off.
  16. According to Ross County, the game may still go ahead as there will be a pitch inspection at 9am
  17. I believe that is the case but Terry may not look at it from a financial point of view just now - might want back in employment etc.
  18. I may be one of very few but I think Terry could do a decent enough job with Motherwell. We all know how it ended at Hibs but in truth they were a sinking ship before he joined but Terry made it worse. If they get taken over before the January window and terry has money to build a team, they should do alright. Probably a safer option than Shiels.
  19. Just to add, I also don't agree with the current set up of signing pre contracts. Current clubs should get a standard compensation fee.
  20. Sorry Roughi but something is better than nothing. I agree, he is a valuable asset so why let him go for nothing? At this stage in his contract the club's valuation is irrelevant as it is too late for a huge amount of negotiation. This is not a one man team, this is a very good squad of players of which Shinnie is only a part (albeit a valuable part) and I don't see his January departure as being a significant factor in where we finish in the league. IMO Tremarco will not weaken our defence and we have very good options in midfield already. In an ideal world, we should be receiving megabucks for one of our prized assets but sadly this isn't an ideal world and I can only expect that selling him wouldn't make a difference - heard on the grapvine that Aberdeen offered a sum last transfer window which was laughable to say the least. Without a doubt Tremarco is a decent enough left back but the problem is he isn't of the same calibre of Shinnie and I think it would be ludicrous to sell him when we are seriously chasing a top 3 finish. You're better off keeping the player and then it's best for both parties - we finish off in a high position and Graeme gets a big move elsewhere. I also agree with the point old caley girl rasied earlier, I can't fathom Graeme leaving in January for personal reasons, unless Aberdeen offered a shed load of money.
  21. Just to reiterate, the offers in January will most likely not meet ICT's valuation of Graeme therefore I don't think we should sell Graeme just for the hell of it to make a quick buck. Graeme without a doubt is a valuable asset to the club and I personally feel that we need him in our back four to finish up as high we can in the league and financially the club would be better off if we finish second or third for example - that's where I think money will be made for ICT.

  23. I can see your point OCG but I don't believe one man makes a team. I really don't know how much he is worth but there is only one way to find out. Put him on the list and see if we get any offers. If we don't get any offers then so be it, the club can't be blamed for not trying. If we didn't have cover I would probably agree with you. I can also see a reason why he wouldn't want to leave in Jan because if your new club doesn't have to pay a transfer fee the player can negotiate a bigger signing on fee. Good deal for the player, poor deal for the club he is leaving. To use a Yogi quote: "Football evolves - if it's not you, it's somebody else" That is a statement I agree with and no man should be bigger than the club. Graeme has been a fantastic servant of the club for many years and I really hope he does what's best for himself because he does deserve a 'big break' The club could all well put Graeme on the transfer market but in truth the offers would fall well under the club's valuation of Graeme. Why would a team pay an excess amount of money when they could in truth get him for free in May - wouldn't make good business sense.

  25. I don't recall a massive drop in Andy Shinnie's form when he signed for Birmingham. I too think Graeme will be committed to the cause regardless of signing for another team.
