  6. if this topic turns into an appeal for a hard copy then ill be satisfied, somebody must have one kicking about it would be sad to think that ill never hear it boomed out round the ground before a home game again, does the match announcer/dj/trained monkey have a sense of humor?
  7. the bar ive been in the last 3 times ive been to easter road was called the royal something.. 3 bottles of stella for ?5

  10. must be about the 10 year anniversary for this gem by now i propose we bring it back Click :001:
  11. alimci thats actually not too bad looking im not kidding!
  12. ach leave me alone gringo, it felt good getting that off my chest!
  13. try 36 hours in advance, if the edinburgh ones never sell out even in august.. hmm.. the games actually in september! ive had the train between inverness and edinburgh about 20 times, ive never paid more than ?33 for a return day return on citylink is ?18, megabus or megatrain will be cheaper than that 100 quid gets you on a ba flight to einburgh, work out the cost against minutes of travel and it isnt too bad
  14. the best way to judge a league is on how the experience for the fan is... i like the spl because traveling around the cities in scotland is a piece of p1sh, you have the choice of any pubs/food you want everywhere and you get to watch your team infront of big crowds at excellent stadiums, its superior. also the banter with spl fans is far superior to that of the first, no question about it, theyre mature football fans who have seen it all, the downside is the old firm. even then, being in the spl makes me proud of my club in a way that isnt possible in the first, OF fans might be diddys, know hee-haw about football and still spout sh1t but the fact we're in the spl just makes it oh so easy to look them in the eye and tell them where to get off. the idealists amongst us will tell you that i have the same right as a fan of a first division team, but we all know theres a difference. just being a fan of an spl team from inverness makes me a prouder person, when somebody asks me who i support i dont have to 'explain' im an inverness fan, i just come out with it and dont expect 'theyre doing ok just now arent they?' or similar patronising bullsh1t, there are no questions. the spls media coverage means that everybody in scotland has a rough idea about who are players are and what we're about on the footballing side we'd never sign a guy like nicolae in the first, or even a guy like rankin or cowie, the games are slower and not as competitive, no matter what anybody says they really arent as much of a fight as the top flight. it would be impossible for me to get anywhere near as excited about finishing 4th in the first division as finishing 9th in the spl this year EVER could. being part of a league with european places and having expectations in cup games is excellent, even if we dont get there we will always have a say in who does what. for me theres a closer connection now with the wider world of european football than i ever thought id feel as an ict fan you know the towns the spl teams play in is the biggest one for me, compare the ease and enjoyment of going to a game in aberdeem, dundee, edinburgh, glasgow, paisley etc to cumbernauld, hamilton, stirling, greenock, dunfries, perth or cumbernauld ! most of the first division stadiums are empty out of town efforts, this year they arent doing too bad with dens and east end in the league but thats two decent away days from 10. (i didnt even mention livi above). the purists will again bring up their oh so funny days out to dumfries when this or that hilarious site was spotted on the way down, but its actually a crap trip... two hours on a train to pittodrie, straight to a couple of pubs from the train for some food, beer, gambling etc may not have the quirky 'novelty' factor the old internutters used to live off but its a **** of alot more enjoyable in the real world also those who claim that the first is alright to play in, dont you think youre being a wee bit insulting to the likes of pele, robbo, the players and especially to the likes of david sutherland? who all worked and spent their f#cking arses off to give YOU the experience of playing in the top flight of scottish football? saying the alternative is alright is a real inexcusable slap... no f#ck it, PUNCH in the face to all of them, why the **** should they have bothered? i for one would be totally f#cking gutted to suffer relegation, its painful to admit but it will happen one day as it does to every club, i just hope the rides not over for a long time yet this is my last word on the matter!!
  15. bayne and rory dont really count! ARE YOU TAKING THE F#&KING C#@=-*G P?$S!! i almost take that as personal abuse, which isnt allowed on here anymore! bayne and nicolae will come good, our best strike partnership since the bingham-hislop days the gills fans seem to think that macdonald cant run, they say that over the first 4-5 yards he was the slowest player theyd ever seen (but capable over a longer distance), they all claim his only unique attribute was his near perfect first time shot. i think he'll turn out to be a dud whenever he gets a run in the first team dennis 'jesus saves' wyness was never going to be good enough in the spl, only in a front three where he has more than one option or provider will he do anything, think he'd be immense given more time on the ball which im sad to say will never happen. rory and gary are the unknown quantities, garys getting some excellent experience in a competitive team (something the rest of our squad would love atm) and will return to us in full confidence. now rorys dad is back on the books he may well get a better game out of him, brewster will tell him exactly how to play and if he was ever going to make it then nows his chance. since brewster left, rory hasnt moved forward an inch for me, id stick with bayne and nicolae, especially away to hibs and celtic where we will likely need to harass their defense to avoid constant pressure, the more games they get together the better, dont think either player will excel as a sub. its a partnership i like the look of a lot, hasnt born fruit yet but if the rest of the team need inspiration then baynes work rate should provide it, plenty have talked about the effect of brew on rory and marius but baynes got as much to gain as any of them
  16. ?2.50 an hour in farmfoods, use to work 4-8 every night after school (if i went to school that was :017:) and 10 hours on a saturday.. used to get myself ?90 and bloody loved it... nae tax that was 1999 though
  17. 44 for adults? p1sh. 3/4 people day return is ?45 :011:
  18. edinburghs a doddle to get to if you book in advance, train ticket wont set you back more than a tenner, ?20 football ticket, easy peasy there is no excuse
  19. ian mccall wouldve been top of my wishlist robbo of the old managers
  20. id rather watch them in the spl
  21. come on you tossers. no excuses, every single f'king one of you get down the road for this game :022: edit topic title- its actually in september
  22. good post tm4tj i hope we dont go down, i enjoy the spl, i dont want to have to wait till im in my 30's or 40's to see it again im gonna make an effort to see as much of this horror show as possible for the rest of the season, home and away, its clear the team has been lacking something this past 18 months in terms of luck, motivation, energy and support.. i blame myself for my semi-boycott (where i actually turn upto a few games.. :029:) under the christie era.. but im coming back home and away starting this saturday, have to rob whatever enjoyments left in this circus before it leaves town
  23. hes actually been at ict longer than fraser, his brother told me he was punted to clach because fraser was bigger than him and robbo preferred the taller keeper, for a while robbo wanted rid of brown for the same reason! hes unproven in the spl but they offered him a one year extension in the summer so he mustve been doing something right. i dunno, another keeper in the ranks wouldnt harm things whatsoever
  24. well as caleyd knows im a good 4 or 5 days walk away from inverness so thats my excuse
  25. whys there so many people on here? goto the f'kin game!
