Not the best away day in terms of the surrounding bars. I like to compare the bars to the Alamo friendliness. Gorgie bars are not friendly at all. But the atmosphere is always great in the stadium. Top Six......... Grassmarket?

Butcher has got the signings right this summer. I like every one of the new signings. There seems to be higher team spirit than this time last year. The only worry is that the squad is smaller than last seasons. We have lost a few good players but we have made solid signings and as a team, they seem to be better than last season.

Great first 20 mins and then poor. We had plenty of chances though. Three tough games coming up. Play like we did in the first quarter all the time and we will do well. We need the consistency.

Yeah they have a game on the Thursday night. Damn them for spoiling the Saturday football experience lol

Unfortunately this thread took on a Separatist * dimension round about post #6, to which it has been necessary for a number of posters to respond. Before suggesting that the thread should return to its original theme of gold medals for Team GB, I would only want to point out on the motto theme that I am very pleased to be a member of the increasing majority north of the Solway - Tweed line for whom "Patria" = "Britannica". But to return to the Olympics - maybe we should mark Team GB's stunning success by adopting a motto for that as well. How about something like "Better Together" maybe? *Independence

At least Midden can have a new Caley Thistle player to boo! It's inconclusive, but due to the Midden player not complaining with the decision, then to answer the question, imho no Draper is not a diver. Midden fans will be stewing away over this, jumping to their own conclusions but lets keep the positive support towards our players!

Right, after a succesful 'meeting' in the Alamo we have a name for our club. We thought we'd name it after an ex player and Juanjo was the most popular choice. Happy with that! Unlucky not to win. A good performance and it seems that there is high team morale. Disapointing end but delighted with performance. Very positive.

How is it tainted?

With our tight squad, if we had fielded a strong team tonight and one potential starting XI player for Saturday got injured then we'd be saying that it was misjudged. The North Cup has always been U19's for us. Most of the guys playing tonight are the usual types that play for us in this tournament (as well as starting XI player Foran). Whilst it's dissapointing to go out so early, the Can Cans are a very good team. But who should we have played instead? The guys that will be playing Midden? We may have won the game but it would not have benefited our youngsters. This cup is ideal for the young players and they usually do well. They were drawn against probably the best HL team and i'm sure they gavce it their all.

Was gutted we didn't sign him after that game tbh.
