  1. Not too bad, although the 'foul' at the start of the first video wasnt particularly good. Would have liked to see Davis staying on until the end of the season. With Rooney out of the picture with the Blues, I wonder if we'd be looking to bring him back on loan? I for one would welcome him back. (Plus, I'm still available - Caley Thistle's answer to Micky Quinn)

Only just seen this thread. He'll be delighted when I show him in the morning. Thank you all! CaleyD is right in that he's not been too good lately. He's having problems with pains his feet and is currently on a course of physio and special drinks containing various vitimins, minerals etc. He was in hospital on Christmas night and was thankfully out for new year. He was back in last night in time for more tests and physio today. The shirt was the very one worn by Ryan Esson on the final day of our title winning season - The 1-0 win over Dundee at TCS. Ryan also donated his gloves and these were also part of the raffle prize. I have a fair few signed shirts etc that i've gained over the years, and I can certainly understand how hard it is to part with them. So fair play to wee Marc! £225 well earned. He was so delighted, he wanted to raffle off all his other caley thistle gear to help the Archie.

rofl Pretty unfair to 'rofl' and bring this comment up, considering those that read DD's tweet would have been of the same opinion. 2 months on, he has proved his worth in our squad and seems haapy to put on the shirt for ICT. I hope he stays and continues to improve

A few of my mates down south are big blues fans, and I get the gossip from them often. I asked the question of Rooney and it seem's he's actually been rather unfortunate. They inform me that although Adam was doing well in pre season and at the start of the campaign, he's lost out to zigic and wood. king is also doing well, all at the same time that adam picked up a knock in training (apparently). A loan out looks possible in January,

Another 18th....?? I like this... It means more people to get the round in Happy birthday
  7. 4-4-2 for me Esson Meekings, Tokely, Golabart, G.Shinnie Chippendale, Cox, Tansey, A Shinnie Sutherland, Tade Subs: Hayes (if fit), McKay, Proctor, Tuffy, Foran, Ross We certainly need to freshen things up. Meekings was impressive when he came in on saturday and I think would be worthy of a start. Chippendale impressed me against Hearts and would probably add that width that we've lacked without Doran and Hayes. Foran needs to sit this one out and give shane his chance. Maybe he'll come on and show some passion and drive when he comes off the bench? Cox was also impressive on saturday when he came on, and with young ross seemingly missing the last couple of games, he too perhaps needs to sit this one out.

He passed comment that Butcher had them in for training at 2pm on a day that saw the Manchester derby at half 1...

Unfortunately I can't agree with a lot of what you've said Donview. I don't think you've been watching the same Foran I have this season. The one I have seen is a good yard off the pace, hardly threw his weight about in challenges and rarely won any header (the ones he went for that is). There is no way anyone can honestly say he 'gives his all week in week out' because he simply does not! He strolled around the park like a lost sheep, and for him to try and gee up the fans at the end... well to me it felt like an insult. The people he should be geeing up are his fellow professionals. Not shouting at them when they make the slightest error - especially if his initial ball to them was shocking, as happened more than once yesterday! Yes, there are questions over Butchers choice to leave the likes of McKay and Sutherland on the bench when we are crying out for a striker. There are also questions over his tactics and decision to play central midfielders on the wings. But the biggest question I have about Butcher is why he insists on playing Richie Foran when he is simply not performing as a player. EDIT: As for him being booed at the end, I think his perfromance deserved it, and as i said earlier, I thought it was an insult for him to be so f***** smug whislt trying to gee up the support. He did sod all for 90 minutes. End of!

Going by the fact I have very very rarely seen him pat a team mate on the back or give a thumbs up, but have instead very regularly see him waving his arms about and pointing and shouting at players, I'm going to have a guess and say that he's not offering encouragement. I even recall an article in the paper a few weeks back, i think it was after the utd match(could be wrong), where he basically said the lads weren't playing well. No mention of his own poor performance at all, and it actually read very much as if he had no part in our poor performances. Now, in my opinion, if you're not willing to put your hands up and admit you yourself are playing poor, then how can you possibly be able to motivate others?

My 'Beef' with richie foran is that he is meant to be club captain and lead by example. He has been poor all season and fails to admit to himself or others that this is the case. He'd much rather try and win the fans over with comments in the local press than do his talking on the pitch. What, quite frankly, p*****s me off most is that he has done nothing to suggest he is worthy of a place in the team and continues to slag off others who may make minor mistakes. Today he even had a go at A.Shinnie for failing to get on the end of a poor pass from himself. He gave a mouthful to cox after his mis-hit volley under pressure. After the penalty was scored we went straight up to Proctor and gave him a ticking off. Those were just a couple of examples and to me, that is not a captain. What was done was done and the captain should be there to encourage and pick everyone up. There wasn't even a pat on the back of Ryan Esson after a few outstanding saves. Butcher is worthy of stick because he is the man at the top and he picks the team, but if even the club captain fails to turn up for 90 minutes, what hope have the rest of the team got, particularly when they have to work along side someone who constantly criticises.

Foran could have had 2 or three goals himself today if he put in a least half the effort that we have seen him produce. He was a liability from the start (not for the first time this season). He was over critical on more than one occasion (not for the first time this season) and he himself was probably the worst player on the park (and not for the first time this season). For him to clap the fans at the end and try to get us all behind the team really p***** me off, because for a full 90 minutes he did nothing but stroll around the pitch and not once try and gee up the lads. There was no praise, no passion, no desire, no encouragement. Just lots of critisism to other players, even if it was he who played the initial bad pass in the first place. We all know how close Butcher and Foran are, and for that reason I will slag off Butcher. But Foran is the club captain and should show the desire and passion in every single game, not just at the end when the fans are on his back!!!

The 'Butcher OUT' post got me a little agitated, simply because out problems do not lie with him alone. Nor should they. Yes we can say we've still got a list of injured/not fully fit players, and no that excuse wont wash for much longer, if at all. But why should our shoddy performance against St Johnstone (and even our current league position) merit HIM to be touted for the chop? Simple answer - He shouldn't be! I've only managed 4 games this season, and not once have I seen Richie Foran give 100% in his performances. He's meant to be the club captain and has done nothing but criticize his fellow professionals. And judging by the reactions of some others around me yesterday, I'm not the only one to think this. Foran has been less passionate in his overall game than he was at this stage last season. He's slow off the ground for headers he'd normally be expected to win, and has been at least a yard off the pace most of the season. His criticism's of other players performances cannot therefore be justified if he himself is worthy of even more criticism. Surely he cannot be the first name on the team sheet, just because he is club captain? What Foran needs is to be dropped, and dropped now. Shane Sutherland shows alot of passion and creativity whenever he plays, and even Andrew Shinnie is showing signs of linking well with Tade. With McKay pushing for more game time, Hayes close to a return and others looking to start, I really hope Butcher starts to utilise these men in an effort to bring some desire and fight of which has been lacking in Foran.
  14. leave your saturday night antics out of this You'd probably be dropped anyway. You were hopeless in the first contest, and were a turncoat for the next! Really looking forward to the game. I'm confident we could take something off the (not so)Super J's on Sat.
  15. No stops for either bus there or back..... Let The Rowing Commence
  16. Wasn't too sure where to put this, but as it involves a former ICT backroom staff member, i thought here was as good as any. I've not long been in from work and caught up on my personal e-mails, and came across one from a company called Highland Eventz. To my knowledge, Highland Eventz is run by [a former employee of ICT]. I've had no contact with the company and was wondering if anyone else has received contact also ...seems like too much of a coincidence. /

Rooney is either falling quickly down the pecking order at Birmingham, or he's suffering an injury. He didnt even make the bench this weekend away to Forest in their 3--1 win. Chris Burke on the other hand seems to be doing quite well with the Blues
  18. Brewsters favorite celebration... YMCA Have a good birthday mate
  19. Davis weems to have had a very good game, despite one mistake in the first half.
  20. watching live online, and Tade seems to have worked very hard today. he looks shattered now! Sutherland ineffective since coming on, and was surprised Chippendale has been hooked. Been a decent performance from ourselves today so far. Certainly better than last saturday
  21. Scotty, I totally forgot about that I think Gringo's picture is more appropriate (the one above, that is). Probably took it himself too, the sad git
  22. Just one wee thing scotty... the train picture... It's a virgin train. I know Gringo (and possibly IHE and other travelling from Ingerland-shire) will use their service, but surely a Scotrail train would be more appropriate *Starts making train noises and runs round the lounge* (Sorry, bit hyper today!) Speaking of trains, the current cheapest adult return fare from 'ness to Carntyne is ?55, with an 0918 departure from ness. If you want to walk over to Central for the Dalmarnock train, that fare is still ?55, and the train still leaves 'ness at 0918.

Heard this on the Supporters Trust bus yesterday. Not good news if thats the case as it only goes to extend the injury list.

And now, for something completely different... ESSON PIERMAYR TOKELY G.SHINNIE CHIPPENDALE TANSEY FORAN DAVIS ROSS TADE SUTHERLAND SUBS: Tuffey, Golobart, Morrison, Gillet, McKay, Proctor, A.Shinnie Personally, I dont think there is any point going into any game to play for 'damage limitation'. We should be looking to play to our strengths and simply go for it. Ross sitting behind Tade and Sutherland to start. He has a good touch, can hold the ball up well and feed the strikers through. Foran should be in the center with Tansey as both can control the midfield, leaving Chippendale and Davis to run the wings. Tade for the physical presence and Sutherland with the enthusiasm would work well in partnership I think. Our defence has been poor, and I would rather see 3 individual good performances from 3, than 1 bad individual performance in 4.
  25. The only three players I would praise yesterday were Graeme Shinnie, Nick Ross and Ryan Esson. Graeme was the only one to give at least 90% throught the match. Nick Ross was working hard down the right, despite drifting further infield, and but for the goals (which he couldnt do much about) Ryan made a few fine saves and collected crosses well. I remember he ran through a crowd of players to punch clear in the first half. Solid 'keeping there. As for the rest, they were all pretty dire. There seemed to be no communication at all, and I was particularly disappointed with Froan's display. Usually so vocal and competitive, he seemed to just go with the flow yesterday. Tade was ok in spells but sometimes slow to react and his touches were heavy and wayward. As for Andrew Shinnie, he quite rightly got a load of stick from the fans, and clearly his family defending him only added fuel to the fire. I found it particularly amusing when his mother turned round to shout how well her eldest had done to set up the equaliser, when clearly it was a fluffed shot on goal, rather than a cross. Shane didnt really seem to know where he was meant to be playing as he drifted from up-front to the right wing constantly. Rosscoe was unusually indecisive and quiet, and why on earth is Proctor still on our books. We may as well have played 3 at the back and simply move Golabart up front with Tade. He is, after all, meant to have ability up front too is he not. Overall I was very disappointed with our performance, especially after we started the game bright and were unfortunate to go behind twice. Only the Trust Bus journey on the way to and from the match made my day enjoyable, so thanks to everyone on it for raising spirits after such a dire affair.
