Lennon Juanjo incident and other red cards...
Speaking of dodgy goings on in football, Birmingham player Jordan Mutch has just been shown an 'invisable yellow card' in their match with Everton.... Back to the point of Neil Lennon being a dirty cheat, does it not seem slightly hipocrytical now that it was Dougie MacDonald that seemingly showed bias toward Celtic that day, yet he turned on the official at Tannadice earlier this season??? It's a conspiracy

Neil Lennon celebrity look-alike
None of those are as good a look-a-like as this one of Gringo and Stephen Lewis (On The Buses/Last of the Summer Wine)...

Scottish Cup
One thing i noticed about the draw is this; Aberdeen met St Mirren in the same round we met Celtic when we beat them in 2000. I hope history can repest itself, and we can KO aberdeen out at Hampden in the semi's... In all seriousness though, Utd on tuesday was my first game since Roy's tesimonial, and I must admit I was rather stunned to see how we lacked any sort of organisation, and how there was a severe lack of communication and passion. Maybe the lads have had an eye on this big game, but the Caley Thistle I know show passion in every game, and not just a cup run. COME ON ICT - GET BACK THE PASSION, AND GET TO GRIPS ON THE LEAGUE AS WELL AS THE CUP

Highland March
10 WEEKS UNTIL THE OFF!!! END OF MONTH REPORT: February As you can see, there are only 10 weeks to go until we set off for the 9th annual Highland March. (Roll on the Split because we STILL have no idea where we're going!) Training this year has seen many surprises, not to mention I've actually done some this year 380 miles since New Years Eve to be exact, and I have closed the gap on Yompa's training miles (460) from 120 miles, to just 80. BA - Who is yet to be officially renamed Flymo - missed out on hitting 200 miles by the months end, but did indeed do so on March 1st. A fantastic effort, of which has been deserving of an unofficial promotion in HM Rank to 'Honourary Cadet' Flymo and myself have been entertaining outselves on the road with the invention of a new game called 'Car-Car' - a simple game that can become extremely competetive, especially along the main roads around the back of Culloden, the A96 and Nairn. (Details of the game and rules on how to play may appear shortly - once we confirm the scoring system ) 'Trash Cash' has seen varied fortunes amongst the troops, although Yompa seems to be extending his lead after striking 'gold' on more than 1 occasion. Gringo is still struggling at the back of the pack, and even a trip to Inverness saw a weekend haul of only 8p Roll on further training miles in March, and who knows, we may even have some news on the fundraising side of things shortly too Brigadier GringoJnr :salute:

Stewarding issues
Love Street - Last day of the season - 1-0 win with Caff scoring a header. That was 4 years ago and I had just walked from Inverness on Highland March 5. There to meet us was my partner (now wife) and her two kids. No sooner had we had our pre-match drinks, we found ourselves a decent seat behind the goal. The mrs and her daughter sat next to me, whilst the wee man sat directly in front. All around there were teenagers and adults relaxed in their chairs with their feet resting on the back of the seat in front. Her lad decided to copy and was waving his caley flag and enjoying his day - it was after all his first ever away day (and I dont think he's had an away day since:ponder: ) I think it was shortly before Caff scored (his fave player at the time too) that a steward made a b-line for the wee man, tapped his feet off the chair (quite vigerously too) and told him to keep his feet of the chair. To say the wee man was heart-broken was an understatement. One or two people joined me in tryin to find out why he was such an Needless to say I was ready to swing for him too, and those who know me will tell you I dont have an aggressive bone in my body. The other people who were doing the same (resting feet on chairs) were not spoken to, yet this :******: decided to pick on a 6-year-old. I contacted ICT initially to raise the concern and see what I could do, and also to get contact details at st mirren. I had the sympathy of the club (ICT) and they were great. However, St Mirren were less than co-operative. It took 3 or 4 e-mails to even get a responce. When I did, I was given the most feeble excuses/reasons/actions etc and even told not to contact the address again as it was a personal address. I didnt hear from them again until 24 hours before we were next due in Paisley, where we were offered free tickets for the match. (great notice, 24 hours). I replied to say we couldnt accept because of the short notice. We never heard back from them again...

Highland March
END OF MONTH REPORT: Januray Training has been going well for some of the troops, with new recruit 'BA' surpassing 100 training miles just yesterday. Gringo also passed the 100 mile marker before the month was out (I'm unsure of exact) , whereas Yompa has exceeded 200 (217 ) and I have managed 167 since New Year's Eve (without doubt my best ever year so far in terms of training) One injury has already occured in training for one of the HMers, as Yompa has hurt his back (no doubt trying to pick up some loose change for 'Trash Cash' ) and has been walking through the pain barrier to get in some much needed training. This guy has already done Highland Marches after operations and knee surgery, as well as completing other events after suffering major injuries and broken bones. He should have no worries about adding HM9 to his list of ene-to-end events Speaking of 'Trash Cash', The field is spread wide open for findings within the group. January alone saw a personal best month of almost ?10 for myself, with ?2.21 found just yesterday when on a training jaunt with BA. A 20-Krona coin was also found . BA has got the bug for this wee game too, and had even managed ?1.25 on a night about town. Gringo, at the lower end of the spectrum, has found only pennies throughout the month of Jan - judging by his texts of "14 moils and 0p :-(" after any of his training days are over. All in all, things are going well. We just wish this 'Split' would hurry up so we know where the heck we're going

Miller v Rooney
Close call but i voted rooney. He seems to up his game against the big teams, whilst millar seems annonymous against wee teams. Think we could, howevere, be en route to a second successive 0-0

Highland March
Ibrox is unlikely, as we would have been there twice pre-split. If we were to land top-6, we should have Rangers up here. Being as we will have also played twice at Tanadise, Rugby Park, Easter Road, New St Mirren Park and MacDirmid Park come the split, this should leave us with Hamilton, Celtic, Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hearts as our away destinations. (but this is the SPL, and it has been known for teams to play 1 H and 3 A against the same team in order to level out the home:away ratio over the season). Hamilton, therefore, is obviously our 'worst case scenario' and to see that mid-week penultimate fixture makes HM9 a potentially difficult one. Personally, I would love Aberdeen (For the short distance) or Tynecastle (as I've never been, and hear it's the best away day)

Highland March
Well - it's about time i updated everyone on how preparations have gone since September. We are after all LESS THAT 4 MONTHS away from HIGHLAND MARCH 9... (Can you believe that???) As you can see from post#1, we already have one new recruit in the form of 'BA'. Since the walk to Nairn and back in September, BA has completed another couple of walks (each exceeding 11-miles). I'll be joining him a couple of days this week to see if we can get him past the 20-mile-a-day stage. Yompa and Gringo are doing well with their training, and i have joined them in trying out 'the zone diet' to try and shead a few pounds before the off (I have already lost half a stone since the turn of the year, and exceeded 40 walking miles of training). Carrying extra weight can only be a bad thing after all :eat: We also think we are looking at another VERY difficult jaunt. As if Kilmarnock (HM7) and Ayr (HM8) in successive years wasn't enough, try Hamilton or Motherwell in 2.5 days :aghast: Having the SPL Split with us again, we as yet have no confirmed destination until the month of March, when obviously, the league splits. The SPL has also thrown us a mid-week fixture as our penultimate match, meaning any chance of keeping with tradition will see a wednesday to saturday event (Sunday if we finish top 6) Here's a possible breakdown, should we get Hamilton/Motherwell... Wed 10pm Depart TCS Thu 2.30am Slochd Thu 8am Kincraig Thu 9am Tromie Bridge Thu 4pm Dalnacardoch Thu 6pm Trinafour Thu 8pm Tummel Bridge Thu 11pm Kenmore Fri 2am Amulree (Stop for sleep) Fri 7am Depart Amulree Fri 12pm Crieff Fri 3pm Greenloaning Fri 6pm Stirling Fri 8pm Carron Bridge Fri 10pm Broadwood (stop for sleep) Sat 7am Depart Broadwood Sat 9am Airdrie Sat 11am Hamilton It would be great to have a wee-er walk to St Johnstone or Aberdeen (which is obviously still possible) as the last 2 HM's have been very very hard. Still - the show must go on. More updates soon

MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
500k seems very reasonable to me... Niculae went for the same, but had international experience. And lets be honest, he didnt have that much of an impact on our squad. Good player to watch, but surprised he went for so much. Rooney on the other hand is yet to reach his peak, has scored in over 45% of his appearences, and would certainly be missed should he leave. Goodwillie is est at 1.5 million - I'd have rooney over goodwillie any day of the week. There's no doubt way more comparisons to make, but i certainly think 400-500k is the lowest we should be seeking. I would, however, prefer he stayed and outscored dennis, and beat rossco's appearences. THEN he really would be a true legend

Riding our luck
I would call losing 6 out of 10 home games this season a bad run! See, that's what I would call a poor home record, not a poor run.

Riding our luck
I was chatting away to a few pals the other day, and none of us could remember us having any sort of bad 'run' yet this season. Every team has a bad spell, and I think this may well be ours. I'm not too bothered we've lost 2 on the trot, and both were at home. Simply because we have shown ourselves so far this season as being a team to fear. That fear will still be there in Perth on the 2nd. They'll know we've lost the last two, but they'll also know we've got a fantastic away record and a great mix of youth and experience to compete with anyone. We're sitting 5th now (on goal diff from Killie). At the start of the season, If someone was to offer that going into new year, I would have taken it. Perhaps with this fantastic year and the praise we've had from the footballing world, the expectation levels have once again risen to high from our supporters? Lets keep our feet on the ground and concentrate on 3 points in our next league encounter! 'MON THE CALEY JAGS

QUESTIONS FOR ROY McBAIN
Gary Lineker allegedly got 'caught short' during a world cup match, to which he later confirmed was true (only recently confirmed too)... What is Roy's most embarrasing moment during a match?

Will Rooney stick around?
I'm almost certain that money is not his motivation. Considering he signed from stoke, who had just been promoted to the english premier at the time, i would imagine he probably took a pay cut in the first place. He's a great guy, on and off the park, and i think it'd be fantastic for all concerned if he stayed.
