  1. Have to admit that its a guilty pleasure of mine to go on OTB after a derby victory. Pure comic gold some of the delusional babble you get. And i have found it appears to be the same ones who are the most bitter. The likes of forfinn, Fleakeuy, brora boy and frankthetank are the worst, Calling us 'dump rats' or t i n k s haha. Some of the favourite repeated quotes is that we are cheats and hackers with have a vile set of players who have the referees conned.....truely hilarious at times. Then ofcourse there are the utter mutants on facebook and twitter who just take the biscuit. The 'county ultras' for example are propa nawghty.... I think the best line iv heard on facebook is that they are still better because their ground has 4 stands and not 3 lol. (The fact that we still have 1500 more seats with 3 doesnt come into it eh) Like Fraz says, its no surprise really they are so bitter towards us as we have continually been the better side/club/fans for all of 20 years now. We truely are the Big Team! Oh and on another note i see another one of their favourite quotes 'we still have noisier fans' has all but disapeared. They'll never admit it, but i reckon they have finally realised what utter tripe it is. For example we took i reckon 1800 on Thursday. The same fixture last year they had 750 and only 400 for a sunny october day when all transport links were unaffected. Thats 1150 over two games.........exactly! Not to mention how fliping loud we were on Thursday! It was just truly class, honestly the passion shown by our fans was first class and the players clearly appreciated the support, and likewise the county players were feart by it! Brittain got abused to shreds at one corner and then spent the rest of the game as far away from us as possible haha. It just goes to show what we are capable of atmosphere wise. Its ashame we cant get the same passion at home. I wonder if the close proximity of the stands to the pitch affects that? Anyway i have kinda went on a bit now. But as u can probably tell.......i had a right feckin good time on Thursday :)
  2. That was our first New Year derby win today. I for one will be enjoying it that littlle bit more
  3. On a back shift so missed what appears to be a cracking game. With £18 a ticket 3 weeks before xmas, i think 1300 is a pretty good crowd tbh. Still, had it been cheaper i reckon there would have been alot more
  4. Sounds like we missed some guilt edged chances. But hey, i'll take a replay over a defeat anyday. However i will say, If tickets are priced over £10 for adults, you could be looking at a very very low crowd. Less than 1000 for sure
  5. Wait a minute. So what your saying is, its not ok for the fans to have poles incase they throw them 15m onto the pitch. Instead we'll let the ball boys have flagpoles when they are 2m from the pitch.........logic? Here is a fan who has had the originality to design and create his own flags. And here is a great chance to get other fans (young and old) involved in creating more colour and atmosphere at home games. And what are the replies? Not enough red and fliping black and our fans cant be trusted with poles.......i despair. No wonder crowds are down
  6. This is class!! Would CJT be prepared to buy 3/4 flags which could be kept at the back of Section E? This would atleast bring more colour to games and may just help atmosphere.
  7. I've said it before and i'll say it again... The Longman campus will be getting bulldozed in 2 years time and therefore that space will be freed up. This will be the most perfect area for a new stadium imho. I reckon the majority of People are desperate to have a stadium which is closer to the city centre. That site is what, 5/10 mins walk from town? And imagine the boost it would have to the local economy and how it would help thrive what is sadly becoming a dilapitated City centre when 2k sevconians, cellic, aberdeen, hertz and c*unty fans turn up 5/6 times a season. And then imagine a 7000 seater-4 sided stadium which was close to the pitch (st mirren esque) the place would be a cauldron ;) and a better match day experience will certainly mean a better attendance! I honestly can't believe no-one else has thought about this. Instead we all seem to still have our fingers up our ars*s talking about Bught park or Torvean Quarry(LOL) when it is very veerry clear that a stadium will never be possible in those locations due to poor infrastructure etc. If we as fansand a club are really serious about having a stadium that is close to the city centre, i reckon this is a great chance which ought to be seized! If not, i honestly can't ever see a another opportunity!
  8. FC United started a 'pay what you can afford' season ticket scheme two years ago. The majority of FC fans used to pay at the gate since its only £8 to get in. But since this scheme started the number of season ticket sales have almost tripled. I believe the way it wrks is, the fans as co-owners vote on a minimum amount to pay, which this seaon was £60. Thats about £3 a game. Its then up to the individual how much they wish to pay for a season ticket, or what they 'can afford' to pay. Interestingly You would think everyone would pay £60 but infact the average for each season ticket sold was something like £135. Which works out as £6.40 a game or something. Im delighted that ICT are trying these new ideas and i cannot fault their perserverance! So many clubs would give up after 1 or 2 failed attempts but fair play to our directors :) Personally i also feel this is the way forward for 'smaller' clubs like ourselves. It was a success at Albion n is a continued success at FCUM. I really hope this proves worthwhile because in 3 months time i turn 26 and will have to pay extra for tickets and frankly il be priced out the main stand for sure and may have to limit myself to one game a month. If i wish to go on an Away day, i may just have to forget about a home game... I have been a loyal fan for 18 years and the thought that il be priced out of the club i love saddens me greatly!
  9. Im hearing news all over facebook about a Caley fan getting beaten up outside the Caley club by fellow Caley fans... Any truth in this?
  10. 'They' moved? We were told to move! Personally always liked the West Stand idea. The atmosphere improved enormously the 3 games we got there. But then Mike Smith and co banned us for 'persistent standing'. Clown. I dont know if it has been mentioned before but after the SPL and SFL merged it was decided that the minimum seat requirement would be scrapped. Therefore you can have terracing in the Premiership again. There is nothing to stop us ripping out the seats in the West Stand and making the West side a terrace again! I whole heartedly believe that a designated terrace/singing area would help the atmosphere immensly.
  11. Thats my first home win of 2014, for real. Thought the team played well today. Thats the best performance i have seen in a long long time and i honestly cant remember the last time i saw a game where we came from behind to win. The whole aura of today reminded me of a pre-2004 div 1 game tbh. Rather enjoyed myself. I feel like i have lost my 'mojo' somewhat since Yogi started but today i got that 'buzz' back. I hope we can keep it going for Well! As for the players. I thought Raven and Draper were below par. Good to see Billy back with the goals but my motm would have been Vincent! He played out his skin today and deserved that goal at the end. Brill would be disapointed with the second im sure, but he made some good stops towards the end.
  12. It appears i was ever so slightly generous with my prediction..... Wheres that Christian Bale smug face?
  13. Excellent idea. But lets be honest U16s should be getting in free every week imho! However if you read the small print you will see 1) terms and conditions apply 2) tickets must be bought before 5pm on Fri 7th 3) this means taking a gamble with weather etc 4) must be accompanied with an adult. This basically excludes all 14-16 yr olds who wouldn't want to spend their saturdays with their parents These above points will make most people think 'why bother' and why on sat 8th we'll be lucky to get an attendance of 3500.

  15. Ohh when you could stand on a terrace, at a game
  16. We could always not bother with shirt sponsors...
  17. I have been to both Bamber Bridge and Chorley with FC United! Cracking little grounds.
  18. At work but listened to the second 45 on the radio. Sounded like we dominated and could have scored more. Great result!
  19. Was Jim Duffy not mentioned when Brewster left? Not sure if he was a serious contender though. A lucky escape most definately if he was... Really trying to think who was in contention along with Robbo in 02, anyone remember?
  20. He has a song!! He's fat but he's good, he's fat but he's gooood Aaron Doran He's fat but he's good
  21. So what exactly is the craic here? Are we playing differently to last sat n weds or is it just a case of that system is starting to click? Just bn speaking to a pal n he can't believe how different we were compared to last sat n weds.
  22. THIS!! Keep Williams in the team as he did very well on sat and deserves the chance. Keep Doran as an impact sub for now. I really do feel he has put on a couple of pounds
  23. I wonder if Queens Park still have that fan who plays the trombone
  24. Sorry post #67 but I have to disagree that the spfl is boring. I saw plenty of thrilling and exciting 'attacking' football whilst watching Caley last year and throughout the 18 years of following the club. I understand that someone in your position must kowtow to the status quo. However myself and the majority of others find passing the ball along the defenseive line 50 times eye bleeding! But I suppose that's only my opinion
  25. Would also just like to point out that the blonde selling refreshments was FIT!!! Definately a 7/10
