  1. rooney should be on fri night footy shortly
  2. Thats a bit of a bummer really but if one of the top 3 teams win the scottish cup then they should hopefully allocate the extra slot to position 4 with Denmark being in 16 place as mentioned earlier. this years entrants are as follows Qualifying round 1 Randers fc(fairplay) Q rd 2 Brondby Q rd 3 FC Nordsjaelland (cup winner) Q rd 3 Odenese bk Champions league Q rd 3 Fc Kobenhavn. With it being even more difficult to get into Europe next year at least we can put the thought to bed for now and focus on a possible top 6 finish. Doesn't the Scottish cup slot go to runner up if winner already included Think they changed that rule Alex as they didnt want county fans venturing into Europe, just incase it started a pandemic, so it was deemed safer to give it to the next leage position,

  4. 'loseing a CL place' may mean that 2nd place enters the comp at an earlier stage I can only recall 2 of our teams entering the CL so we havent actually lost a team entering the CL. The link suggests that 1st pl enters the group stages of the champions league, 2nd joins the CL at an earlier stage and lists the cup winners and 3rd and 4th pl in uefa, what happens IF the cup is won by position 1,2,3,or 4 then shouldnt the slot go to position no 5 ?(this kept county out of europe) as for fairplay there are teams that have been highlighted so have the countries for the fairplay positions already been selected?
  5. Oh, I never knew he was to blame for the relegation, And here was me thinking it was more to do with the fans waving their shoes at someone, you learn somthing new every day. Well done Dr Butcher, Theres a few labia majoras on this site that you need to sort out.
  6. Don't really get the Celtic must have ROI players theme, wheres Lennon from?
  7. I don't look at the bottom of the league I look at 7th place, even if we were in 3rd position at 4.45 on Saturday I would still be looking at the points difference between us and 7th, league position doesn't really matter to me at the minute,I'm more interested in getting as many points on the board between us and the team in 7th place as possible.
  8. Yes that would do fine  IF she played on the left. If she played on the right. Even Izzy would make County look sh1te. Could never really understand that chant anyway, Susan Boyle makes County look sh1te. Now Richie Foran makes Ronaldo look sh1te, would be a compliment.
  9. Didn't we have an Dons fan gloating on here that Aberdeen were top of the league for the 1st 2 weeks. I would be chuffed with a top six finish for the first time and 3rd, 4th or even 5th? place may not be that far away by then, in the meantime I'm not really giving any thought to Europe. I'm just enjoying each game as it comes.
  10. 10, 9 in a row for Rangers Great result against currently the best playing team in Scotland. and the away run continues.
  11. Good news if we are aiming for a top six, bad if you think ICT might be relegated. Personally it would be a good outcome for me, including DDU and Hibs a point each, if Killy beat Hearts even better,6 points above Midden with a +13 goal difference and might be back in 4th.
  12. A 14 team league will certainly reignite the interest in 1st division football and gives a lot of hope to 1st division fans regarding top flight football and still keeps it competitive. With 16 -not enough games are played. 18 -wouldn't tally up 20 -would work in theory 38 games but not in practice, we don't have enough quality teams to add 8 and it means the likes of Brechin could win promotion to the SPL the following year which would dilute the quality in the SPL If I make up some figures, say the SPL put ?2,000,000 in to a pot and all the teams get a cut, making a 20 team league the pot still sits at ?2,000,000 so its less to share. The same goes with tv rights. A SPL 2 league cup could be created. A top 8 bottom 6 split gives hope to the smaller SPL teams of getting in to the top half but 6 and 8 would make more sense considering the smaller teams will have to play more games to get the money in through the gate and the best 6 teams should be involved in cup games for a longer period, it also rests players for international games. I'm in favor of 14
  13. Forgive me for being ignorant but who is Kevin Drinkle?? ive heard of Terry Butcher I think every one has,Is Mr Drinkle famous?? was he in the big brother house in the summer or something. I could look his name up on wickapedia but I really dont care.
  14. I'm ok RHODDDDD GILBERT is the night after.
  15. Rangers are to play- Celtic, Killy midweek in the Cis cup on Wednesday, us on Saturday and could be distracted by the champions league game a few days later. So fingers crossed we could take something from the game and according to Alex's cheap calender that he bought on ebay, thats a year undefeated on the road.
  16. Will all of the Culbokie 7 be there.
  17. Is this for full time students over 18 as well? I was under the impression it wasn't. We'll I'm 18 and a full time student and I was given a ticket for ?7 You must be feeling terrible for short changing Ibrox of ?16 never mind.
  18. You have a point there, I was chatting to about 9000 people in the pub the other night and they all said if the name changed they would be chomping at the bit to watch Inverness Highland Scotland UK united play football. Regarding all the so called stay aways from the merger, what was the average highland league attendance at the 2 clubs and what would be a realistic percentage of people staying away 5% ? IMO the majority of so called abstainers are people who didn't actually go to any matches, have no interest in football but instead have invented a reason to talk about why they don't go to watch footy.
  19. Thinking ahead to the 1st of January in Perth, the penny has just dropped that the pubs will be shut, Bummer!!!
  20. The good old Kinlochbervie steam train You knew when he was going to sprint down the park as the head would always go down first.
  21. This is a tough one but I would say Rooney, Against Aberdeen every one fitted in to their position exceptionally well. If you took one of the team out of that formula, another player could slot in and get one or two players to swap positions if applicable to maintain the strength as a unit providing we had most of our squad available. If Rooney was out then I feel the formation would have to change too. Its a difficult question though as all the players compliment each other and can make good teams look bad and one player alone cant take the credit for that.
  22. The same team as we had for Aberdeen except with Gillet at lb (due to experience). I saw too many good things last Saturday to think differently
  23. Mind you the French are still going on about 1066 it was the last time they won anything
  24. And if you want a sneak preview of terry butchers car apparently it goes like a rocket. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/anderson/thunderbirds/gallery/thunderbird1.shtml
