Don't know if the law in Scotland re parking fines is the same as down here in Englandshire. I got a £100 fine ticket stuck to my windscreen back in November (2016) in a retail park in Reading which had a two hour limit. My offence was that I had been seen leaving the retail park on foot within the 2 hour period. This was true as I'd nipped into town for 10 mins after shopping in the retail park. I'd gone back to my car with the purchase in the retail park before leaving the park, and I was back well within the 2 hours. I didn't pay and so far have not received any follow up demands. I did check out on line if the DVLC were legally obliged to give out personal details to these parking companies. I found that the DVLC's policy is to release such personal details only if the parking company is a member of an approved 'parking company association'. On checking out the parking company I fell foul of, UK CPS Ltd, I found that their membership of the approved association had lapsed in October 2016, for non payment of their annual subscription. So, I'm assuming that the DVLC will not release my name and address to them. But with you guys being harried for payment after 2 years, maybe I'm counting my chickens in thinking 'I've got away with it' after only a mere 4 months.

Matchday Thread Partick -V- Inverness CT
Caley Mad In Berks replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Watched it all this morning on CaleyJags TV. What little football there was came mostly from PT. But all credit to the defence for holding out. Thought the offside for Billy for Anier's "goal" was a bit harsh. Nothing offside about Warren's equaliser though. Very pleased for him. He has taken quite a lot of stick on here this season. He has been, imo, ICT's best ever signing. I'd love him to have one more season, if his legs can carry him through it. I'm fairly optimistic that we will be stronger in the two upcoming crucial home games with Tremarco and Draper back, and I hope, Mulraney too. We need his pace down the wing to provide some much needed service for Billy. Also, Tansey seems to have got his mojo back. So, onwards and upwards, six points from next two games could make the bottom of the league look quite different.- 67 replies

I only spotted two scorers today (Sat 11 Mar). Marley Watkins scored Barnsley's goal in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich in the English Championship. And, Adam Evans got a last second equaliser for Shelbourne in a 1-1 draw at Cobh in the Airtricity Irish 1st division.

Telford Street Park - were you caught on film?

There was a supporter back in the 50s who we youngsters at the time nicknamed "Rummel them up". He favoured the Distillery end where he used to stand at the rail just by the goal, and encourage the team by bellowing several times a game , especially if the opposition were playing well , "Come on Caley, rummel them up and baffle their science". We all thought it was great, and of course would attempt to join in. Happy days. -
Beware the Ides of March
Caley Mad In Berks replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in Caley Thistle
Being at a loose end yesterday afternoon, I too watched this game. At least the TV was on, even if I didn't give it my full attention. I agree with DD's assessment of PT. In addition, they showed absolutely nothing going forwards, until the last seconds of the game. If we can't beat this lot on yesterday's showing, we probably don't deserve to be in the top division. Mind you, Aberdeen were not exactly great themselves, apart from a nice move for their goal, and a couple of good saves from the PT keeper. The thing which struck me yesterday about this game was how much the ball was in the air. It seemed to be nothing but headers back and fore the whole game. Dire to watch. Not exactly a great advertisement for Scottish football. Anyway, I honestly think we can beat them at Firhill, despite our poor record there over the years. -
Graeme Shinnie scored the winner for Aberdeen this afternoon (5 Mar) in their 1-0 Scottish Cup Q/F win against Partick. Also, Danny Devine.
-
And, last night (4 Mar), Dani Lopez scored his first goal of 2017, for his club Arenas de Getxo, in a 3-1 win over Albaceti.
-
Not many goals around for our ex players this afternoon (4 March). Only one I spotted was from Jason Oswell in a 4-1 win for Newton FC against Airbus UK in Wales.

Can't agree with that. While there is still a glimmer of a chance of achieving 10th spot, all the efforts should be concentrated on that aim (manager, players and supporters alike). Relegation I fear will definitely be a financial disaster leading to the loss of many jobs, and as I don't think we have the ability to bounce back up, I can see the possibility of us slipping into relative obscurity, part time football etc. So, one more giant push is needed from everybody to gain us another year in the top flight, and buy us a bit of time to sort ourselves out next season.- 105 replies

Well, after last night's blunders by OFW, are we in a crisis situation again? It has been implied that OFW is carrying an injury. Maybe so, but I don't think that was the problem last night against Celtic. In between errors, he actually made some important saves. But, for me, OFW has never been a great kicker of the ball, and his positioning for free kicks has always been suspect, right from day one, and it is those frailties which cost us two goals last night. He was not to blame for the first and last goals. So, is Esson fit? If so imo he should be first choice for rest of season. If Esson is not fit I don't know what to suggest. Stick with OFW?, or promote our next in line?

Unfortunately Stuart Armstrong scored one of Celtic's four against us tonight (1 Mar)

Looking forward to using 'Caleyjags tv' in on demand mode early tomorrow, as ages ago, before I knew it was going to be live on TV, I foolishly committed myself to playing in a bridge match tonight. I'll be lucky if I am able to catch the odd squint at my phone this evening to see how things are going. But, maybe that's no bad thing, come to think of it, going along with the "no news is good news" theory. But I live in hope of a positive result tonight. After all, we've done it before.

Will we never get closure on this now, quite tiresome, JH saga? I honestly don't think there are many posters on here who do not recognise what JH achieved with us. Certainly those heady days at Hampden, particularly the Scottish Cup win, and the dabble into Europe, will live long in our memories. It is just a pity that the memories are tarnished by the manner of JH's leaving the club. Whatever the absolute truth of the matter, many of us think that JH engineered his way out of ICT, at great expense to the club, after only months previously, signing a contract extension, at which time, I for one, am convinced the ongoing budget details for the club would have been made clear to him. Anyway, we now are where we are, and it is time to move on. We have a hard enough job on our hands for the rest of the season without continually harping back to JH.
