  1. It's one game - no need to push the panic button - the boys just need to dust themselves down and move on. They are top of the league and therefore in pole position for promotion. Go on boys - young, older, experienced or less so, ICT born and bred or otherwise - keep the faith. You have been amazing so far this season and we fans have been loving it. BELIEVE
  2. I think that the club needs to come up with something new by way of something competitive and potentially lucrative for fans and the citizens of Inverness to become involved in. The 50/50 draw didn't seem to be attracting much interest before it was put on hold (and with a £250 top prize it isn't really 50/50 at all). The Centenery Club -does it still exist? - we came out of it years ago when we noticed that the prizes had become less, without informing fans of changes. Surely the club could start up some kind of lottery or such like with an accumulative prize system. If we were able to take part either by paying in advance ie monthly or yearly to enter, or buy buying entries at shops in the town. Hopefully as prizes rose in value more people would buy more tickets. It would be good PR for the club and create a bit of a buzz about the place. You have to speculate to accumulate and I think the club has not been doing that lately. And wouldn't it we good to see fellow fans winning substantial sums of money?
  3. CaleyHedgehog replied to Robert's topic in Caley Thistle
Oops sorry Jack - I forgot that there was already a thread about ICTWFC when I wrote about the game this afternoon. I think I was just in such a happy haze with the score!

What a fantastic result at the stadium this afternoon when ICT women won their first game at the stadium 12 - 2. A sublime afternoon spent watching the game - Congratulations ladies.
  5. Great result - I must admit that I am still a tad disappointed that we dropped 2 points last week (which is ridiculous of me), but it just shows how far we have come from our usual start to the season. So many of us still find it very strange to see Gardyne in an ICT strip, but he certainly proved to any doubters that he isn't just there to make up the numbers. Great goal at just the right time. Keep it up boys - you are all amazing.
  6. Can I get in first with 5 out of 5. long may it continue.
  7. The only slight negative is that football like that deserves more than a couple of thousand home fans. You're right Kingsmills, but today I spotted about half a dozen kids from the primary school I work at, which is more than I've seen since the heady days of the Scottish Cup season. 'From little acorns' and all that. Also a lot of people are still lying low because of Covid worries - or they've actually got it.
  8. Fantastic to be at the stadium today - great game, great atmosphere, great result. Well done boys. I kept thinking that Duku was going to get the goal he deserves because of his great service to others, but it will have to wait for another day. Oh Inverness is wonderful!
  9. I mistakenly read your post as tartan cut offs, and thought that you were planning the Bay City Roller look for your big day. Can't help but all the best for your big day.
  10. It is so easy to get caught up in the comings and goings (and coming back again) of the corona virus situation, so well done to all the team for keeping the joy in our lives in these unsettled times. Great win. Thanks boys.
  11. Loved it when Carson motioned to the North Stand crowd to make some noise......and we did. A fun wee bit of interaction with the fans.
  12. Thanks Lizi - I hadn't noticed that. I hope we do get a few more family season ticket holders - I love to see how the kids change each season (to start with they can be more interested in the snacks on offer, but as they grow they pick up the chat and chants and branch out to sitting with their pals and cheering loudly). We are so lucky to have a big(ish) team on our doorstep.
  13. Soooooo good to be back at a live game at long last (we didn't get tickets in any of the 300 supporters draws last season, so it has been a while) and it didn't disappoint. Well done boys. I thought the lads played a real team game and thought Duku gave his all. Even on the sidelines it was plain to see how much better Billy Mckay suits ICT blue as apposed to navy. It is a bit nerve racking, but I'd be delighted to watch 1-0 wins all season.
  14. I noticed at the game today how few children were in the North Stand. Maybe it is just because it is the school holidays, but perhaps the club could start promotions/ competitions/ online links with team members etc. through the local schools to get these youngsters supporting their local team again (too many Rangers and Celtic tops on weans around the town for my liking)! Sometimes the parents need a wee nudge to consider a season ticket.
  15. Well, that's it all but over, in this strangest of seasons (unless the Challenge Cup is a goer), and it hasn't lacked excitement over the last few weeks. Disappointed, but definitely glad that we are not fighting relegation. I've really enjoyed the games recently and feel proud of the team. On the plus side, who needs the biased refereeing, top six cut off and Ugly sisters in the SPL - looking forward to next season - maybe we'll even get to see a live game later this year!
  16. Just the thought of going to see a LIVE game again gives me goosebumps - personally I'd love to see the Caley Pinks in action. Roll on the new normal!
  17. It's not over till it's over and we know our boys will give it their best shot. So keep looking upwards lads and fly high (flamingos) on Saturday - nerves will play a part for all those in the play off mix, so anything could happen. We are titanium. C'mon Caley!
  18. What they don't seem to get up in Dingwall is, that when our ex players defect to the dark side, they can never quite shake off their ICT past and find it impossible to fully commit to a side that, deep down they do not rate. Once you find your niche in Inverness, no other club (but especially County), will quite do! And this theory works for managers too.
  19. Devine has been mentioned by one or two on this thread. I've always rated him as just the type of consistent, hard working player that we love here. I really felt for him when he fell out of favour in his last spell at the club and was delighted that he came back.
  20. The joy was even sweeter because we know what it feels like to watch our team play the John Hughes defensive style of play, and how depressing it is. Our Caley Pinks (sounds a bit like a variety of potato), were the complete opposite flying freely down the pitch like a flock of flamingos.
  21. Ross County 1 - Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3. It might not be in the league and it might not be quite 5-0, but this will do me just fine. C'mon Caley!
  22. Our tickets haven't arrived yet - good job we didn't need them! C'mon Caley
  23. What a lovely way to pay tribute to someone who gave so much of his time to the club.
  24. I have my doubts that we will see a live game at all this season - we missed out on the draws that took place, but I would follow the rules and stay home for another year if it would get the virus under control.
