  1. Yes I agree Austin Is a better all round player than Storey, and I believe that Warren's contract runs out In the summer of 2019.
  2. If this is true about Garry Warren, I think it is a very shoddy way to treat our club captain and a player who has given his all for the club in his time here. I agree that all plàyers have a shelf life, and time catches up with us all, but there are far more professional and dignified ways to inform the supporters about these matters than a tweet from a journalist, especially a player of Garrys reputation with the fans. This isn't just some player who turned up last season and didn't make the grade, like Seedorf, this is a player who has been at the heart of everything good we have done over several seasons. We are not blessed with an abundance of central defenders, so would it not be sensible to keep him as a squad player? I also hear that Partick Thistle have released 14 players including Danny Devine and placed Miles Story on the transfer list, possibly another two players for the ICT tribute team that play out of Dingwall!
  3. The Championship looks as if it's going to be a very competitive league next seaso. I think all teams will be able to beat any other team on their day, so it's crucial that ICT get off to a good start and get points on the board early, we don't want to be playing catch up, like we were trying to do for all of last season. Hopefully our last season in the Championship will work in our favour next term, with the squad being more settled, and the players not coming into the season as strangers. I have a good feeling for the coming season.
  4. I like both strips, my only criticism, and it's a small one, is that I think a red sleeve on the blue side would look better, it would give it a more symmetrical look, but on the whole, I think they look great.
  5. I have never heard of that variety, It must be quite rare.
  6. Would It be madagascar vanilla?
  7. A couple of seasons ago, it would be unthinkable to have a midfield without Draper and Tansey in it, but it happened, they moved on, and someone else stepped up to fill those berths, and now Vigurs has moved on and someone will step into his boots and fill the void. I would have loved Vigurs to stay, but at his age it will be his last big pay day, increased wages and probably a good signing on fee are not to be sniffed at. Our style of play might alter to fit the new players, but we have played in many different styles over the years.
  8. I thought that they were the closest team, geographically, to us In the championship, and ' jokingly ' called It a derby.
  9. The rest of the league will be so happy if County follow ICT into the championship. No more trips up to play those upstarts from the Highlands, and they will think that the natural order of the central belt has been restored now that St Mirren are back. It would be nice for us to have a closer derby next season instead of lasts at Brechin! If County don't go down, where will our derby be?
  10. My brother was up on holiday and took in the last couple of home matches, and couldn't believe it was the same team he saw at the start of the season as they had improved in all departments so much. All we needed was one draw to be a win and we would have made the playoffs, we were certainly the form team in the latter stages of the season. We might lose one or two players from the current crop, although I hope we don't, but I think Robbo knows the way he wants the team to play, and will recruit well for next term. It was one of the strangest seasons I have seen for many a year. I hated most of the early matches, and then my everlasting memory is Tuesday night games, in the freezing rain, it made me long for summer football. Now, I cannot wait for the new season to begin! Am I a glutton for punishment? Such is the life of a football fan.
  11. At this stage of his career, and given his age, Vigures will be looking for one last big pay day, a good signing on fee and a healthy wage. I would love for him to stay with ICT but it would be no surprise to me if he moves on. We thought we couldn't replace Tansey and Vigures stepped up to the plate, so there will always be a player who will grab his chance when it comes along. I think Robbo will have been thinking that this scenario could occur, given that his contract was running down, and would have been thinking about replacements.
  12. If I recall correctly, didn't the chairman say at the season ticket holders meeting at the start of the season, that they were thinking of relocating the sports bar down to the main stand home turnstiles area? And I think I also recall the chairman stating that the club wanted to improve the whole 'match day' experience for the supporters! Does anyone know what has changed, apart from Lionel Nessi?
  13. Why could they not print a voting page in the season ticket book, and when it gets to the last home game of the season you fill in your choice and hand it in, you could do the same with walk up tickets that are bought for last home game. That way, every supporter who enters the stadium gets one vote to select their player of the year, and not just the folk in hospitality. The club really need to know how shabby this whole thing looks.
  14. We thought this as we were sitting in the main stand yesterday. I said to my son that this is the last home game, and we usually vote, but there was no info, and then they were announcing there would be presentations after the game! Who was voting??? Very poor communication from the club, especially when the board said there was going to be better communication. If we can't get the small things right, what hope have we got for bigger things?
  15. Absolutely gutted. For them to equalise in the 5th minute of stoppage time is hard to take. Again the officials were very poor. The referee was stopping the flow of the match for soft challenges and for the stand side linesman not to see first Oakley and then Polworth having their shirts nearly pulled off their backs in the penalty box is beyond me, what was he seeing when everyone in our part of the main stand could see it so obviously?. So near and yet so far, let's hope we can keep the majority of this squad together for next season, and get off to a flyer. I hope that all the Vigures detractors could see that the match was crying out for some composure on the ball in midfield which Vigures would have thrived on.
  16. A great 3 points, and our highest place of the season I believe. Can't wait for Saturday, hope we get a good crowd and the right result. Well done lads.
  17. I thought some of the combination play between Vigures and Polworth was outstanding. They are two players who are on the same wavelength and know instinctively where each other will be. I hope that Polworth can step up as playmaker when Vigures is suspended. Great work from both today.
  18. Great win today. I don't think we would've come back from a goal down earlier in the season, but now we seem to have the belief that we can get back into the game and score. Some good performances all over the park today. I thought Vigures controlled the whole game and was my man of the match, closely followed by Oakley and Calder and a special mention to Austin for our first hat trick in a long time. We just have to give it all we have now and try win all our remaining matches.
  19. I thought the game was crying out for width against Falkirk, and it changed for the good when Doran and mulraney were introduced. It's great to have a really strong bench, with players who can make a difference to the game.
  20. The difference in the way the team is playing now is incredible. At the start of the season we lacked a spark, we were sitting off teams and very disjointed. This was inevitable with the amount of our best players we lost, and Robbo having to build a new squad on a limited budget, but now the new team has gelled, you can see the team spirit within the team, and we are closing the opposition down quicker, we are in their faces fighting for every ball and playing some good football when conditions are good. If we can keep the majority of this squad together, with a couple of good signings next season, I think we will be challenging for the title next term.
  21. Robbo was giving instructions and encouragement to Seedorf in the second half when he was playing on the standside. He seems unsure of his positioning and maybe lacks a bit of confidence. It was crying out for someone on the right to take on the Brechin defence, just like the again impressive Calder did on the left, maybe this could have been a good run out for Mulraney or Daniel MacKay. Good win, but it could have been a lot more if we had taken our chances.
  22. No, it was dormant for several months but I saw the post today that has been removed now on Facebook.
  23. I thought Calder gave us a boost when he came on. He has pace and was the one who managed to get in behind the saints defence and get some crosses in, I would give hime a start against brechin.
