  1. We always bought a programme every game, and bought our food from the catering outlet, now, because they have changed things so much, we eat before we come to the stadium, and obviously cant buy a programme, so thats lost revenu there, I wonder how many more fans do the same.
  2. They are not producing paper programmes anymore, they are online only now.
  3. What about Tm4tj offering to batter someone stupid In an earlier post, was that acceptable?
  4. Absolutely no plan B from Robertson. Punting endless balls into the box didn't work in the first half, so why persist with it in the second? We needed someone to get behind their back four and cut balls back. We need players willing to take a player on and beat him, we needed pace. Ayr were hitting with pace on the counter attack and looked dangerous at times while we were ponderous at getting the ball forward, nearly every pass was sideways. Please ICT practice penalties and let the best one take them. What should have been an easy three points after the sending off and resulting penalty, turned into a slog, and if you want supporters to return, you need to give them something to return for, not whàt was on offer today.
  5. Totally agree with you. How Polworth stayed on for the whole 90mins Is a mystery to me, he was atrocious. Lost count of the wayward passes and giving the ball away. He has no fight and gives up on 50 50 balls. Time on the bench might do him good.
  6. Very sad news indeed, especially in such a young man. I was a Thistle fan who wished we could have had him playing for us. He was such a good midfielder, box to box, strong in the tackle and a goal threat. Being the first Caley Thistle captain, he will always be remembered and be part of the clubs history.
  7. Let's let Ayr worry about our strikers instead. We have players who can hurt them, and as their defence is not the best, I csn see Oakley and Austin causing them problems.
  8. Ryan Esson played In goal for Brora against Clach on wednesday night, so maybe he Is going to keep his hand In In the highland league.
  9. I would like to see Eboulzedi playing wide left, he has pace and can beat a man and cross, and I'm not convinced with Rooney at right back. My team would be - Ridgers Mckay McCart Donaldson Tremarco Chalmers Walsh Polworth Eboulzedi Doran Austin
  10. The catering has certainly gone down hill so far this season, in my opinion. They have discontinued the great curry pies, you don't have the choice of onions with the hot dog now, just a dry roll with a small hot dog on it for over £3 is not appetising or good value, and we were told that they are no longer selling real coke, just coke zero! Surely the customer should have the choice whether they have the diet option or not? On match days, we always waited till we got to the stadium before we had lunch, even though it was a bit later, because we enjoyed what was on offer, now, I think we will eat elsewhere before we get to the ground. I think it would be a great idea to have different food vendors given the chance to have a stall at the stadium, to give the supporters a more varied choice on match days.
  11. I have that programme for that game, the Caley team lineup Is there and the scorer but not the Elgin team or scorers. Maybe the Elgin website might shed some light on It.
  12. No, I was a Jags supporter, so I only took the stats for their games, and just noted the results of the other TSB Highland League games. At that point Elgin had 76 points from 30 games, Caley had 70 from 32, so, as It was a 34 game league, Elgin were well on their way to the title.
  13. Caley played Elgin In the McEwans Lager North of Scotland Cup 1st round on Saturday 3rd February 1990 but the score from the paper Is 4 - 1 to Elgin.
  14. I think the date was wednesday 18th April 1990.
  15. I see the referee is John Mckendrick, was he not voted the worst ref ever at the stadium last season?
  16. There Is a Facebook page set up, the ICTFC Stadium Development Project, that supporters can post any Ideas they have to Improve the stadium or match day.
  17. I asked at the club several years ago if they could supply me with some details, results, fixtures etc, of some old Higland League games. The quizzical look I got was as if I had asked for some secrets from the vault. After some months had passed I asked again, and again quizzical looks to which I was informed that they couldn't help me. With ICT taking both Caley and Thistles name, I thought that their respected histories would been held in high esteem, and the new club would have kept a detailed history of the old clubs records. I therfore had to spend months at the library going through old couriers and highland news to get the info I required, Aberdeen library was also very helpful but I had to pay for the information. I do believe that there should be a football museum at the club, detailing the history of Caley and Thistle, to show the future generations where ICTFC came from.
  18. The game you are talking about took place on wednesday 25th April 1990. Christie and Urquhart scored for Caley, and It was Alan Macdonald who got the overhead kick goal for the Jags. The attendance at Telford Street was 541. The teams were Caley - Morrison, Davidson, Mann, Docherty, Andrew, Macallister, Macdonald, Lisle, Urquhart, Christie, Robertson. Thistle - Calder, Skinner, Stevenson, Mitchell, Milroy, Clark, Macdonald, Penman, Taylor, Sutherland, Noble. I hope this Is of use to you.
  19. I thought the team played well enough today, once they got into their stride. Ìt was interesting to see some of the players for the first time. Harper had a good solid game at left back and I thought Chow looked decent in the middle, Rooney had some good runs down the right, but his final ball needs to be better. The man of the match for me has to be Daniel Mackay. This lad is going to be some player, his runs off the ball and his control on the ball is fantastic. I think he will be a big player for ICT this season. Austin looked sharp as well, he has good feet and can turn on a sixpence. It will be interesting to see what starting eleven will start the first competitive match of the new season. Also great to see Doran getting a good pre season injury free, he was captain today and had a good solid game.
  20. At the season ticket holders meeting with the chairman at the beginning of last season, he talked about improving the match day experience for the supporters, so what has changed? The only thing I can see is the shop, and that hasn't enhanced the match day experience.
  21. Hopefully the club will be able to inform us who the new captain is just as quickly as they do with a new board member, before we read it in the P & J.
  22. I see your location Is rural Aberdeen shire, so would It not be easier going to the Keith v ICt game today?
  23. In my opinion, a play off place is achievable, if we get off to a good start, and not have to play catch up the rest of the season like last term, and as long as we beat the teams we are supposed to be better than in the cups, that would be an acceptable season to me, anything better would be a bonus.
  24. It was posted earlier In this thread that they wouldn't be sent out until early July.
  25. The club seems to be failing miserably with the 'better communication' with the fans statement at the beginning of last season. We should have been informed before it is revealed to all in the P and J. Gary Warren deserved a better ending to his ICT career than the one the current board have delivered. I know every player has a sell by date, but the way we seem to be treating our older experienced players is woeful in my opinion. I wish Gary all the best for the future and thanks for the memories.
