Youth teams
I'm assuming this is a lad who started at a very young age and not someone who was on a trainee contract. There are many children involved in any football clubs coaching systems. They are given coaching and encouragement throughout their spell of involvement. Some make it to their age group teams and some dont. Those who dont still have the chance to come along and train with the rest and to learn about the game. Of all the hundreds of children who do come through to the more senior levels only a select few will make the grade and become apprentices. And of those only a few will end up with professional contracts. The football clubs provide the facilities and the staff. They do a fantastic job training, coaching and getting teams playing in competitions all over the place. All this takes hard work and dedication and a fair amount of free time spent on the road. Personally, if it was my child, I'd be happy that he or she had the chance of the experience and even happier that he or she was told of their worth face to face and not by any other means.

Dunfermline v ICT: Matchday Thread
A free kick that was well taken but one that Esson should have had covered and he would have done had he been ready for it. Esson was still gesticulating to his wall when the whistle went for the kick to be taken and was caught totally on the wrong foot. I went to a game on saturday that had six goals in it. Could have been a lot more. We took a point away from home. I even converted a Hun and a Hibee for the day yet I came away totally disappointed. A couple of players stood out as trying to get a game going but the rest seemed to be at sixes and sevens. Far too many mistakes were made in all areas of the park. We didnt use the wings to good effect and we pretty much just seemed lost as to what we should have been doing. There is no one or two that can be picked out for blame. There's a whole team.

Transfer summary
A clue just for you sooz...............he scored nine last season and 15 the season before. His selflessness contributed a great deal in Rooneys tally over the two seasons.

Transfer summary
I believe we already have him. He just needs his team to gel and get the crosses in and he'll do the business. Last season he laid on many of the goals for ICT. This season he'll score them.

ICT's Performance This Season
Laurance, your last post before today, back in Feb was a moan. Before that, in August and Sept 10 your posts were nothing but moans. And today you come on and moan. Will anyone miss you if you dont come back? I think not.

You are only as good as your last game. If that were true then 2/3rd of the squad would be dropped every other week.

Squad numbers
Whatever the numbers listed in todays programme, these will be the numbers throughout the season as its a ruling of SPL that a player is registered by squad number.

Never seen him today but I think some on here are being a bit harsh. So he had a bad game. If thats all there is to go on then why are so many other players still hero's. Everyone had at least one bad game last season but nobody is calling for them to be put out on loan. Nick started in 35 games and came of the bench in a further 4 last season. Is that not far better experience than he'll ever gain in a lower team loan spell? He was also very close to being awarded Player of the Year last season as voted for by the same fans who are now slating him. There was me thinking it was only the gutter press who built someone up to knock him down again.

Shinnie being out injured for a while probably had some bearing on that decision. He'll get his chance again.

Elvis was in charge at Hearts, while still playing, for two games after Robbo was sacked.
