Not 100% sure but I think that may have something to do with Press Release exclusivity.

Someone elses version of p&B that will likely become clogged with the same type of drivel.

Oh Dear.....lol
My understanding on this is that the referee must decide if the momentum of the ball has stopped before it crosses the line. In other words if the keeper saved the ball but its momentum kept it moving across the line then it is classed as a goal. Whereas if the keeper saves it and the ball stops dead then a gust of wind catches it and it goes over it is not a goal.

Caledonian Scarf?
Em...Neros first name was Alex too but he was from the ...not Skye...unless he moved...which is perfectly conceivable :) Has Skye moved. It was one of the western isles last time I was there. My understanding has always been that Skye is The Inner Hebbridies. The Western Isles, in my understanding, is generally considered to be places such as The Isles of Harris, Lewis, Barra etc, places in the OUTER hebridies, hence the name WESTERN isles!.....and given your widely observed propensity to be wrong Alex...you will have to excuse me if i hold firm with my views for now. Then again, considering Geography isnt my strong point, along with many other things, I am open to the idea that i could be wrong on this. SMEE, it was meant to be a tongue in cheek comment. Many people will debate what constitutes the western isles but my understanding is that they are all the islands of the west coast and that the northern isles are all those of the north coast. Belonging to a family who originated from Harris my forebears never referred to them as the western isles. It was always the outer and inner hebrides. I am well aware that that part from Lewis down to Barra is written by some as being the Western Isles but personally I've always known all of the Hebrides as being the western isles.

Book by Rodwell Clyne
I'm quite sure they were though I dont really think comparrisons can be made. Football had no real competition for fans in them days. I recently read an article that stated Partick Thistle had an average 30,000 in the 50's. These were the years of getting back to grips without war. The industrial boom and all that. Pubs closed at half two. Game started at three. The saturday release from a hard working week. Oh how the world has changed.

Has that one not been arranged to fit in with an International free week or something?

Say no to 10 team league
Have to totally disagree with you on most points Gabby. Ten team league means playing each team four times a season. Fans have indicated they dont want this. Ten team league means teams fill up with tried and tested players and abandon youth development. Nobody wants this. The available money would become less and less in the long term because fans will stay away so gate reciepts will be down. Initial SPL was ten team and it failed then. Nothing indicates it will work again. More OF games will not increase exposure for other teams simply because the TV deal allows for the screening of 36 games a season regardless of number of times each play the OF. Ten team is dead and long may it remain that way

Looks like we were indeed trying to arrange a wee tour - Portadown have just announced the cancellation of their friendly v ICT which had been scheduled for 11th July! Decided to use the money to keep Rooney??

Say no to 10 team league
That'll be the days before TV companies destroyed the game with their open wallets. The days when, other than decent highlights programmes, the only games on TV would be cup quarters onwards. The days when even Div 1 had a weekly highlights programme.

Say no to 10 team league
At leasy fout clubs tried to bully it through. I sincerely hope one of those four are fighting off relegation next season.

FIFA Congress
If he gets no vote in the first ballot then he will have tied with himself so do all the votes that never went to him then automatically get redistributed to him?

ICT win Marius appeal ......
There are no winners here. By failing to use a proper registered agent, one who knows the ins and outs of sports law, Marius has lost out. The costs of the appeals and the initial court proceedings will probably come out of the funds recieved for the player and that wont be peanuts. So no winners here to celebrate.

According to Maurice in the Courier, at this moment in time there is no Plymouth game and the trip depends on finding a 3rd opponent. If Plymouth can't be sorted, who else is down there? Exeter? Bournemouth? Torquay??

FIFA Congress
Such a shame many other nations dont have the guts of EFAand SFA in protesting this election. Too many, including FAI have a vested interest in seeing Blatter at the top regardless of the underhand goings on within the organisation. With luck Zurich will deport them all and no other country will house them.

I hope the alternative is what the 8 'rebel' clubs come up with. A 14 team league.

I would imagine Terry would send a strong team to Belfast with a mainly U-19 squad for Livi. As for info on the official website I've given up even looking nowadays. Think of all those Plymouth, Bristol, Linfield fans looking for info and pretty much all they can find that is current and up to date is the Centenary Club winners. Its embarrassing to say the least.
