I wouldn't worry about that son cos by my reckoning dougal is not a real fan either. By his own assertions a real fan goes to every game yet I believe he is away for a few weekends at a time.

Gota remove that chip man. I thought they actually gave us about 18 mins of coverage, including McCall time, and considering we got 18 seconds of preview time on STV the night before that shows we are being taken a wee bit more serious.

Although I was at both those games I do admit to reinforcing my recollections from information gleaned on this site.

Miller isn't that long a sername! Jan Venegoor of Hesselink scored a last minute winner a few weeks before the cup tie, then Pressley and Miller scored two late goals after Bayne had put us ahead in that horrible cup game. Pressely and Miller was Round 5 of the cup. We were 1-0 up till the 88th minute when Pressely equalised. In extra time Miller got the winner. The league game a few weeks before that Riordon took the lead for Celtic in 37. Bayne equalised in 57 and Vinegar got the winner in about the 4th minute of injury time.

Since coming to SPL in 04 we've only reached the QF once and were put out then by a Finnegan penalty for Falkirk in 08/09.

Just for you dougal this has little to do with policy change and more to do with changing to a new service provider with more bandwidth available. Had the forums been open to all under the previous system and software you'd likely have been on here moaning about the slowness of the site.

Dougal, I was at the Elgin game. If I could have I'd have been to the Morton one. I will likely be at the QF and I'll probably have no difficulty getting a ticket. Many people have many different reasons for not attending some games. Personally I dont think thats your's or any other persons business. Nor do I think you have any right to rant about it. The crowd is disappointing and the club will likely have paid out more in puting the game on than they'd have taken in gate reciepts but that is no reason to slag off the people who chose not to go yesterday but still find it in them to support the club in what is the bread and butter..........the league.

Aye......provided Foran and Rooney are up front together.

Not entirely, I was watching the draw on a stream on the interweb when it froze after Aberdeen name was read out, when I refreshed ICT were drawn and the rest as they say is history. Still, what did disappoint me was that I put a topic in the forum about five minutes before the draw, yet some nutters still managed to create their own topic.........and one of them was even a moderator. I was too busy concentrating on the build up to the draw that I hadn't been looking at the forum at that point.............didn't actually expect someone to cheat like that anyway. Back to topic.....now that our chance of a european place as runners up in the cup is gone we need to really dig in and drive for fourth in league.

Tuffey left a number 1 spot to come to us as No. 2 so I think it only right he gets all the cup games.

Think I could well be at the QF game...............after all I'm one of those who some think not a good supporter. I only go to the big games......like Elgin City, Queens Park, Peterhead etc. For me the problem with going to other games tends to be the lack of available helicopters. But thats probably a poor excuse in the eyes of some folk.

Calm down Tug............................nothing in the above post that's having a go at you or the likes of you is there? Dougal, for all his wind ups, makes a valid point that is true for the vast majority of clubs. Don't disagree with him, don't know what can be done about it but he doesn't deserved to be panned! That's the thing about this and other forums. Are they private clubs that welcome only the opinions shared by the chosen few or are they public forums that allow freedom of speech/debate? Despite the best efforts of some (Alex !) CTO usually falls in the latter category. Lets keep it that way! ???

And I hope they also realise that alcohol will be banned on the trains. Used to be just Glasgow trains that had bans on maqtch days but First have taken the decision to ban alcohol on trains to and from Inverness on SPL matchdays after a train was trashed by Dundee fans back in May. Have not travelled on train to SPL games this season so far but have seen notice at Perth station

There is no such thing as an SPL referee. Refs are provided and controlled by the SFA. Grade 1 refs normally get SPL games but lower grade refs can also officiate.
