  1. I reckon he'll lay flat in the dugout and claim Tokes stuck the heid in
  2. If he's beaten fair and square I think he'll still find the ballboy was to blame
  3. AMEN!!!!!!
  4. Yes, they wanted to win trophies. Aye and they had to wait ten years for the first one. Think your stats are a bit dodgy Alex Unless the records I'm looking at are wrong then there's nothing dodgy mate. In 51/52 season Caledonian won the Highland League, Highland League Cup and North of Scotland Cup. I find no records of them having won anything after that till 61/62 when they won the Scottish Qualifying Cup. In the 63/64 season they won the league again and the Inverness cup. They won the Highland League cup in 68/69
  5. Cut and paste from rules of game. A coin toss takes place just before the game starts, the winner of which will get the choice of choosing which end to attack or whether to kick-off. Should they choose to kick-off then the other captain will be allowed elect which end to attack in the first half. Should the winner decide to choose which end to attack then the loser can choose whether to kick-off in the first or second half.

  7. I wouldn't see it as a shock. We are an SPL team well capable of beating any other team on our day.
  8. Dont think it matters.......there'll be Celtic fans in both ends
  9. Graeme Bennett and Jim Lieshman.............both Directors of football
  10. Quite possibly. There was a fair amount of movement between the teams back then. Much like the ICT / County moves of recent years
  11. More good pics here for all the Jaggies http://www.axis32.dsl.pipex.com/photogallery.htm
  12. Then the SFA have a bit of further planning to do.
  13. This may help you CC
  14. Saturday Another cold start around Inverness however the cloud rain and hill snow in the west will gradually spread east but becoming lighter and more patchy. Strengthening winds. Going to be heart warming 4 oC by midday tomorrow. I'm quite sure the game will go ahead though Celtic will complain about the state of the pitch, the wind, the rain/sleet and anything else they can bring up for losing this one. Incidently, if postponed the fixture will be played on tuesday 14th at TCS and if drawn replay will be at Parkhead on same date.
  15. Goodwin led the board. He would have been the influencial person. He would have had the casting votes on any 50/50 decisions. If this had been an industry where, due to neglect, people were killed or a disaster occurred he is the one who'd have been prosecuted. He is the one who handed out autonomy to make decisions on his behalf. He is the one who encouraged risk taking. The buck stops with him. That said I'd like to see those who nominated and voted for him to recieve a knoghthood being held to task over their decision.
  16. Muirfield Mills is, I believe, the consortium of America based Inverness exiles who were puting together a six figure deal with conditions. I think the conditions may be the stumbling block in the deal coming to fruition.
  17. Pretty much that. The first joint sponsorship was in 84 with CR Smith. Scottish & Newcastle tried to get them both after that but Celtic declined the deal. The next joint deal was NTL then Carling and now Tennents. But all that digresses from the fact that Mr Savage is puting some extra cash into our club.
  18. Here's hoping Foran can persuade Hayes to extend.
  19. From a quick search of the net it appears the Scottish clubs are all very reluctant to divulge what they get but I'm willing to bet its nothing like what the top English club make. http://www.nust.org....-sponsor-stakes I believe the Tennents deal with the OF is worth 1.5 million a year to each club.
  20. http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Orion-extend-ICT-shirt-sponsorship.htm
  21. If RFC dont take action very soon and call in the administrators they could find themselves in a similar position to Portsmouth who are facing a winding up order. If HMRC decide to persue this route and its granted then the company would cease trading and effectively be wound up. Its hard to predict the future of football in Scotland without either of the OF. Without the competition of those two would the TV companies and major sponsors of the league pull out? Its easy to think that, maybe, the competition would be better with all teams having the chance of top positions but would we then become a similar standard to League of Ireland with very little TV coverage and little money to share around? Would the lower standard drive more fans away? Love them or hate them I feel both halves of the OF are a necessary evil in Scottish football.
  22. I believe he has been made an offer.
  23. You'll just need to wait till you get home then. Full details require the link.
  24. We can buy a new team and fund the A82 bridge crossing.
