When I was a child, many many years ago, at Roy Bridge Primary School we'd have spelling tests every friday afternoon. Anyone who got three wrong got to feel the leather on teachers strap.

Born in Grimsby and was a youth keeper at Lincoln City in 2011. Not much else on t'internet but I believe we've signed him as U-20 keeper.

Where is it indicated that this keeper is some sort of rushed signing? It may well be that he's been watched for some time and is seen as someone who could push Esson to second spot. I'm a great believer in judging what I see not what I perceive based on drivel.

So there's a mistake in what he wrote and everyone jumps on the illiteracy bandwagon. R is next to T on my keyboard and I can see how easy it is to hit the wrong key. Have all you who comment never made such a mistake? As for the footballer.......that remains to be seen. This guy didn't set out to be one. He was a youngster who entered and won a competition. The prize being a stint with the youth set up at Inter Milan. When that was over he came home and played a couple of seasons with his local teams. I think I'm right in saying we are his first professional club and the step up is a big one. I hope he can cut it but I wont hold my breath till I see him play.

Aberdeen may well have a proven manager but he'll need at least a full season to build a team that could challenge at the top. I see them mid table and maybe top six. Nothing at Killie suggests they'll be up there. Nor even St Johnstone. I think Motherwell will continue as they left the end of last season. I believe Hearts, if they get ownership sorted out, will make up the deficit and stay up. Hibs are hard to predict though I think they may be in the bottom half. I think the County euphoria will have worn off and I see nothing there that makes me think they wont be in the relegation fight. Do Partick have a team suitable for SPL? Celtic will win the league and I predict Dundee United, Motherwell and us challenging for the second and third spots. I'm confident we will be up there because we have continuation in the squad. Some players have gone, some have come in but the nucleus is still there and this should hold us in good stead for a successful start. My only one concern would be Esson and injury.

I can't believe you've insulted Tommy, he also deals with the pitch at Ardersier. I hope he doesn't see your insulting words. Wheres the insult? I believe TC is the kitman as well as groundsman. I also know he's been busy with covers and things to get the new grass growing at TCS so maybe hasn't time to get all the kit sorted out. Nothing insulting in that.

Except there's a few miss matches. 22 shirt is partnered with 22 shorts yet 25 shirt also has 22 shorts. 6 shirt has 16 shorts which are also being shared by 6 shirt. 24 shirt has 23 shorts. 19 shorts has no shirt number. 24 shirt and 23 shorts. And Scott Kellacher is getting rounder and rounder. I think those in the navy training gear are probably in squad number while those in red gear are waiting on Tommy to get time away from his new grass to stick some numbers on.

As far as I can find out neither Sky nor ESPN have announced SPL or EPL fixtures as yet.

The lads prize was entry into the IM youth set-up. Not a place in the team so yes a first team position with any full time club would be a step up.

I'd certainly hope so. Esson's fitness cannot be relied on.

Not seen the photo(s) in question but is it not possible that squad numbers have not yet been allocated (registered) and that its any old kit that fits thats being worn just now?

If any 18-35 year old out there, who is not already a professional footballer, has £20k to spend on ten minutes of personal entertainment then they probably know nothing about the game as they're too busy housebreaking or drug pushing.

Expectations............survival. Dreams.............a top three finish and a cup. Reality..........really difficult to predict not knowing the strengths and weaknesses of our own team or the teams around us.

I don't know if he has his badges. Saying we can't afford Harper I agree, that is why I said get him to do some coaching, and I said " coaching" not just goalkeeping, *we sure need a good coach, our set pieces are all over the place, our throw ins are rubbish", I thought that could be an incentive. Just asking a genuine question. This club already has the coaches it needs so, unless we get rid of the partnership we have, there's no way we can afford to slot in any others. As for your last paragraph......I may not have been around quite as long as you but I aint no spring chicken either. Oh! And my Emergency Response Team Leader Certificates are all still valid.

And what would you suggest happens to the current goalkeeping coach Laurence? Dont think our club could afford two of them.
