Usually clubs announce appointments and then press conferences are the next day. Yeh, Central Belt clubs. Takes an extra day for the horses to pull the tv crew up to the wilderness's

Yogi done a decent job at falkirk on tight budget. He was doing ok at Hibs but didnt get a proper crack at the whip there. All that said he's not my choice. All his interviews make me want to swim with sharks. Mind you Butcher was never my choice either. The big factor, however, is who his No.2 will be.

Apologies for above formatting. tried to copy table from SPFL site.

The new SPFL format for payments is set below for top fourteen teams. The teams below this get from 1.8% for fifteenth down to 0.18% for 42nd. These percentages are the remainder of SPFL revenues after running expenses, parachute payments etc. So for every £1m of net income 1st place gets £134,000, 2nd place £96,000, 3rd place £82,000 and so on right down to £1800 for 42nd place. All this can be found in Articles of Association here http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__articlesofthespfllimited_1375800575.pdf Difficult to work out the revenues of SPFL but I'd guess at around £20 m a year. League Position Percentage Share 1 13.40% 2 9.60% 3 8.25% 4 7.25% 5 6.75% 6 6.25% 7 5.75% 8 5.50% 9 5.25% 10 5.00% 11 4.75% 12 4.50% 13 2.25% 14 1.90%

Alex, I seem to recollect that some time ago in a discussion on this referendum on here, you suggested to us that after separation there would be no need for an SNP. That's not really the way it looks now, given that much of their case rests on the extensive range of populist but economically unproven measures they are telling us they would implement if they get the result they want and in an attempt to get peole to vote for that. And maybe you should also add to what you have said there that we also have Council services which are creaking at the seams for lack of funding due to the SNP's six year Council Tax freeze (for which they are NOT properly compensating councils.) Now that's an interesting one as well. The SNP is the party which wants YOU to have more control over how your life is run by moving centralised power from "Westminster" to Edinburgh. So why are they taking power away from local areas and centralising it in the form of a Scottish Fire Service, a Scottish Police service and Holyrood exercising restraint on local authorities delivering local services. They seem to want to draw everything in towards central Scotland. I have never ever said there would be no need for an SNP. I may have said that the people could decide on another party. Just on the subject of the council tax freeze. the one thing that has achieved is a vast reduction in wasteage. How often, nowadays, do you see a council worker digging a hole with six others watching. Perhaps you haven't been reading the right papers recently Charles. If you had you'd have read that the same amalgamation of Fire, Police etc is proposed for England. There is so much negativity, just for the sake of it, about centralisation of police yet the reality is that the guys on the beat will remain the same but why the hell pay for six or seven Chief constables when one will suffice. Maybe the money saved will go towards preventing and detecting crime and protecting you and I instead of paying for chauffuers and flash cars for the stiff upper lipped pr!cks in braid.

Dont you just locve the way the NO people latch onto a hatred of the SNP. The same NO people who currently benefit, and will in future benefit from SNP policy. I was able to put three children through university because of SNP policy. I have family members on constant medication who couldn't afford it but for SNP policy. We have shorter hospital waiting times. We have higher standards of care for the elderly. We are better off now than ever we were.

If Stevie May's worth 750k then Billy's worth a million. Rotherham only have 300k to play with.

Dont you just love threads like this. Kenny states he's down to two and the board will interview them over the weekend. Everyone else adds in a few more names. The management team will be Hartley, Wilson and Fridge

Unlike those who went out with gunpowder and ball and took what they wanted by force, rape and pillage.

If my arithmetic serves me well, often it doesn't, right now one of four... Arithmetically maybe......but can you really see hearts gain 31 points more than Celtic before end of season. In answer to question......We could do it but we wont. Tonight Celtic will realise they wont even make the Europa league so will be all out to win Premiership. They wont be resting players any more. We could match them and stay second but I cant see us overtaking them.

And on very rare occassions a sense of humour

There's no engaging and no debate with Charles. Its his way or no way. Much like the engagement and debate that got us into the union. I challenge all to read a bit of Scottish history. More especially that period from 1650 to 1707. Read about Scottish world trading and about the lengths the East India Company went to destroy that trade. Read about the pirate ships sponsored by the EIC that stole goods destined for Scotland and sunk the ships that carried them and the attempted retaliation by Scottish pirates in the Indian Ocean.

I thought this thread was going to tell me how to make some new type of beer. Brewster was well thought of at Crawley and done a good job their, including caretaker for a few games. Unfortunately Crawley couldnt afford to keep him on. I believe he is a very good coach but not so good as a manager.

I'm sure there are lads within our ranks who, if the opportunity arose, would have tried the same gag. These lads didn't know the significance of this flag and have apologised. I'm sure it'll be returned in one piece so I dont think anyone should get on their high horse about it.

To be fair Laurence, looking through our squad list http://ictfc.com/team/squad-list?Name=Value I think we have good cover in all areas.

There are people who know Bennett and dont like him. There are people who dont know him but dont like him. Thats a matter for folks opinions. As far as I'm concerned, on the few occassions I've had opportunity to chat with the guy, he's come across as being a decent honest person. My understanding is that he raised the cash to buy the social club on the strength of a private pension. Yes he owns the club, and possibly takes a wage out of it, but that could easily become a non viable business and he could be left with a building that nobody wants. On the other hand he could make a vast profit out of it. Who knows. Enough of defending the man. I am more concerned by why he has decided to drop out. Is he trying to maintain the stability but others want to risk it? Are there board members who want us to break from our current spending control in order to do what other clubs have done to try and buy success? If one person leaves the board because he believes the mix is wrong then I want to know what the wrong is. Bear in mind that Grazza's not the first, in recent times, to resign their directorship.

Stop the Canal/River Bridges and Roads
Alex MacLeod replied to BornCaley's topic in Serious Discussion
At the moment there's one single lane into the centre from the other side of the canal. The new bridge and road plans that go with it provide for two lanes going into one. Result equals added congestion -
Why the fell in obsession. There's been more posts about him since he dumped us than there has been in all the time he worked for us. Time to forget and move on.
