  1. Nah qualifying for Europe would be a progressive step for the club and I would see that as a positive to be honest As ive stated on another thread my only worries would be getting a bad humping by a club from Ireland or some other diddy country which could do more damage than good for the long season ahead when expectations are now higher than they ever were before due to this seasons success It all depends on the draw, realistically we are looking at only one tie, I can't see many travelling to some hovel in Albania or Kazackstan can you? Dougal Dougal, are we not seen by many as a diddy country? If we do get beat by one of those teams you suggest then so be it. The joy in this achievement isn't the winning or losing its getting there. Getting there as the third best team in Scotland. I wouldnt think many would expect us to go past the round we're drawn in. Thats not a reflection on ICT but more on the quality and standard of football in this country. We are ranked 78 in the world just now. In 2007 we were 14. Ireland are 39, Albania 43 That shows how far our standard has dropped in the last few years. I'd say to anyone.........enjoy the moment. It may never happen again. Teams bigger than us have fallen at the first hurdle so be proud to just be there.
  2. I read this as an article celebrating 20 years since inception. 20 years since a few people had the foresight to realise that an Inverness team could do what many other teams have failed to do even though they've been established for a hell of a lot longer. What I cant see is any reason why anyone would need to apologise for success.
  3. How the hell are we sneaking in to Europe. We are the team in third place. St J are the ones who have to catch us.
  4. Does anyone remember the numbers of the half time draw. I was stuck in pie queue and mised them.
  5. Sounds quite serious, as he's left the stadium on a stretcher taking oxygen. Not a good sign for him or County. I wish him well (but not before next week's game!!). Think St J might just be willing to let him out of his agreement now.
  6. Is that the same players who chose not to acknowledge the support before going up the tunnel.
  7. We are in Europe. I dont believe County will win today. Motherwell want revenge for the 3-0 battering they took at Dungwall. Nor do I believe St Johnston will beat Motherwell.
  8. The name of a stand doesnt normally generate interest from business nor income. If it did then it would have been done. The name of a stadium is a different matter.
  9. Probably because an appeal could result in worse punishment bearing in mind its the second time the lads been cited by SFA for simulation. He was also yellow carded for diving in january.
  10. Terry spotted heading south from Inverness
  11. Like Stuart McCall?
  12. Difficultone to call this week. I'd stick with the same line-up that started against Motherwell but the Rave is available so where does he slot in? This will also be Forans last game of this season as he's suspended for the County bash.
  13. According to Inverness CT facebook the following were released:- Kyle Whyte, Matthew Murphy, Andy Skinner, Ryan Watson and Stephen MacKenzie
  14. Alex MacLeod replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
Hopefully Mr Marsella has that in hand
  15. Every year there will be players at the end of their apprenticeships who will not be offered professional contracts. Thats the nature of things at all clubs. I dont know what the selection criterea is for any that are kept on and have never seen too many of the youngsters play to say how good or bad they are but I do believe we do everything we can to help those released in finding employment. I'm sure the lad will go on to do, at least as well, as the many others we've let go over the years.
  16. So no changes to the SPL voting policy. One league body is a must but who's going to be left jobless and how will they decide who's running the league?
  17. SPL Press Release At an all-club meeting earlier today at Hampden Park, the 12 Scottish Premier League clubs unanimously agreed on a package of measures that would deliver a merged league in time for season 2013/2014. The principles include: - a single merged league of 42 clubs, in line with the stated preference of SFL1 clubs - a 12-10-10-10 divisional structure - an all-through distribution model involving substantial redistribution to the second tier - a ‘pyramid’ for the entire game - play-offs involving team 11 in the SPL and teams 2, 3 and 4 in the division below A formal proposal to deliver the above will be brought back to the SPL clubs for voting this month. The SPL looks forward to working with the Scottish FA and Scottish Football League to deliver vibrant change for the game as a whole. Chairman Ralph Topping commented: “I am pleased that SPL clubs have today agreed on a way forward for the game in this country. We have tremendous sympathy with the SFL1 clubs and their plight and with their shared ambition for a 42-club solution. Much work needs to be done in a short space of time to achieve our objective of a single merged league this summer. But, where there is a will, there is a way. The time for action is now.”
  18. Is it not already the Jock MacDonald stand
  19. Dont you mean Police Scotland?
  20. Charlie Christie has been called up to the Scotland squad to compete in the Seniors World Cup in Thialand in June.
  21. £1.52 million for third and £1.36 million for fourth. Thats assuming the figures bandied about at the start of the season are still in place and haven't been affected by changes to TV deals. Also assumes this article to be accurate http://melvillesmusings.wordpress.com/2012/06/14/spl-tv-deal-post-rangers-fc/
  22. He can maybe be blamed for a few things but this isn't one of them.
  23. Yep. Its rectangular in shape and has a variety of white lines.
  24. SFA suspension list, out today, has Chris Hogg suspended for one U-20 game so he is available on saturday.
