  1. Rooooooney 6,000 goal in the premier league. New tune after the goals aswell.
  2. the last one. I don't see why people keep raising this subject. Kilmarnock are joint top of the league yet would you really like to see any of thier players even in a Scotland squad? None of our players are worthy of being in the Scotland squad at the moment. End of. Poor example. I would take Alan Combe over Jamie Langfield anyday.
  3. We will beat Norway home and away, they are worse than us at the moment, we even beat them away from home under Vogts. We will also win in Iceland. That coupled with the fact that other teams will take points of each other (the mighty Norway that apparently we can only take 2 points from were held at home by Iceland yesterday) will be enough to see us at least give it a go. Writing a team off after one match is pathetic, there is plenty of time and games. As you say, we will take a point from Holland, that will put us on 16 points. That would then mean that every other second place team must get more than 23 points, which is not going to happen
  4. We must not forget the money that Setanta have poured into the SPL over the past few years, far superior to anything the BBC have, or ever will put towards our league.
  5. ? ?
  6. I remember during the Rankin saga we got horsed by Hibs in the cup at Easter Road. After a hearty of rendition of "Cowie hates the County," some bright spark in the crowd followed up with "Rankin hates the Caley." :thumb04:
  7. Correction, he will have 6 months left on his existing contract in January and would be able to sign a pre-contract with someone making him available from June. However...... I have an inkling he will sign a contract extension at Hibs before January. :thumb04: Pardon me, thats what I was refering to. I wouldn't be too sure, he has played consistently well for you guys the past season and a half, only to find himself behind Riordan, Fletcher and Nish in the pecking order.
  8. If we are doing some back-slapping here, lets also include Gringo Jnr and IHE who have both been pushing this in their own ways and have had just as much impact as any emails I have sent.
  9. I would say that is a positive outcome and although we might have to walk before we can run - by reinstating BB and seeing how that goes before moving onto some of IHE's other suggestions - there is no harm in also discussing the next level as suggested by IHE. Top-notch work Scotty and Grassa.
  10. Not seen him play that much, but by all accounts I think I'd rather resign Zibi and stick him at centre back then bring in "Bomb Scare Bamba."
  11. Someone would just tell you to sit down Johndo.
  12. Dean Shiels is also available in January
  13. Are u trying to compare Phil McGuire with Roberto Baggio? And how can u tell from watching highlights that no-one shouted? And anyway he's meant to be a "Professional" footballer so he should've dealt with it :thumb04: God no. That would be a put down of Mcguire and his talents. :018: ;)
  14. McLeish would not have sold him to any other club for that price.

  16. If this is the case, I think we should possibly start looking for a replacement now. As some have said, Cowie's both a talented and ambitious lad, and we rarely manage to keep thos kind of players for long. Leeds will be able to offer far superior wages than our own (not sure if they are still there, but Alan Thompson and Tore Andre Flo both played for Leeds last season, you can imagine the type of wages these guys command.)
  17. My understanding with the Balde situation is that the media and Strachan are both very unfair on him. Apparently he didnt move to Birmingham for more money or regular first team football because he feels that Celtic are his club, one where he has up until recently been very happy, and would rather stay and fight for his place then leave the club that made him who he is. I say good on him, perhaps not the most technically gifted players, but Celtic fans seem quick to forget what he did for them under O'Neill. Did we not sign three players on the stroke of midnight last summer.
  18. :thumb04:
  19. Your point caller? Baggio missed his penalty against Brazil, despite giving the world a footballing masterclass that day. And if you watch the highlights you will see no-one give McGuire a shout that there is a player coming in behind.
  20. Aberdeen, Hibs, the newly promoted team and a Falkirk side tipped by many to finish in the top 6 this season. :thumb04:
  21. By a good few accounts McGuire was the top preformer yesterday, and in fact is yet to have a bad game this season. Put that togethor with his form pre-hernia and I think he gets a hard time, steadied the ship when he first arrived and has carried through the inexperienced Duff the last few games.
  22. Scott Booth was ridiculously confident that we'd go down.
  23. Level on points with Celtic and Rangers. Looking for 3 points next week against St Mirren and we'll have 10 points from our first 5 games
  24. Superb Btw Scotty, this new emotion is quality :018: :thumb04:
