I'd rather the sensible young fans (the vast majority of them, I'm sure) would disassociate themselves from the numpties, or at least stop trying to justify their behaviour...easier said than done, I know, but needs to be done - the small 'Ned element' will ruin it for us all (and I don't mean just the younger fans). They need to realise that they are representing the club (especially at away games) and tbeir actions reflect on us all. Just behave, guys & stop justifying the behaviour of those that don't)..

Peterhead won't be simple pushovers though, they've had a solid start to the season albeit they've slipped up in the last couple of weeks. They beat Hearts and East Fife in their league cup group and if our defence isn't up to scratch on the day Rory could easily bag one or two.

It doesn't sound as though you have taken anything on board at all. You say "some of which they know fine well didn't do any damage." but my post was all about the fact that this is not just about the damage. It is about behaviour in general and the absolute need for the bus driver not to be distracted. I acknowledge that you have not defended the actions of anyone on the bus and I assume from that that you at least acknowledge some folk behaved inappropriately. What you seem unable to appreciate is the seriousness of this. I am sure you accept that sanctions must be taken against anyone causing malicious damage but the more pertinent issue here is what actions should be taken against those whose behaviour was not in any way malicious but which, nevertheless, was inappropriate and inadvertently put people at risk. My knowledge of events is only what I've read, but whatever the truth of what went on is, the key consideration here must be to ensure that this kind of thing does not happen again. It is clear that there are some at least for whom a ban is completely justified. It may be that there are several youngsters who got sucked into the bad behaviour by peer pressure and perhaps against their better judgement. It would be a great shame if they got banned when a talking to and getting them to appreciate the potential consequences of such behaviour might well do the trick. But then again, some of these lads may well have been warned before for all I know. What I do know is that the actions of the club and the Travel Club will be aimed at ensuring that safe travel is available for people who wish to support the team. If some innocent lads are being unfairly banned then the fault for that lies squarely with the morons who caused the trouble in the first place. The club tries to provide a service which offers as cheap and convenient transport to games as possible. Remember, people give up their own time to organise this on a voluntary basis for the benefit of others. If you want to use the service, you abide by the rules. That's the deal. And please don't spout that cr*p about the club losing a group of fans for good. If the club has lost a small handful of morons then good riddance to them. The genuine fans amongst the youngsters will keep coming to the games - because that is what fans do.

The next round is against Forfar. The starting line up looked like the full time U20 players, but quite a few school aged-looking subs came on for Caley as the game progressed. No team lines tweeted, unfortunately, and no announcements at the game. I thought I recognised Daniel Hoban (gk), Alasdair Stark (captain, RB), Mitch Foy, Ryan McRitchie (CB), Aiden Wilson and Kieran Chalmers (centre mid). Andrew Macrae was at the game but not changed, so presumably still injured. Given it was the first time they must have played together, I thought they did well.

Yes, I have noticed that he hasn't yet got a club since being released by Blackpool. I think he is a bit deluded about his own ability these days. A Blackpool supporting pal of mine saw him a couple of times whilst he was there, and said he made no impact on either game. Coupled with his iffy disciplinary record, I suspect his career may be over as far as any decent standard goes. Glad to see that he wants a club commutable from Preston. That should rule him out for us.

The sad thing is that the young crew bring a lot of much needed enthusiasm and atmosphere to the crowd when they behave within the boundaries of acceptable behaviour. When they do that, they have great fun, the rest of the fans enjoy the atmosphere they create and the guys on the park appreciate the support. But there will always be a small minority who either have no idea where the boundaries are or a simply hell bent on causing trouble for some reason or other. When they do that, there are others who either follow like sheep or join in because they aren't mature enough to resit the peer pressure. The more sensible lads then stay away because they don't want to get sucked into any trouble. Get rid of the tiny number of ring leaders, the sensible ones will return. Keep the behaviour within the boundaries and everyone's a winner. But just to get a bit of balance here, it is not just the young lads whose behaviour is not always within the boundaries of acceptable behaviour. Some of the abuse shouted at players, officials and opposition fans by much older fans would get them evicted if they behaved like that in their care homes. It is not a good example. When some of our more senior fans behave in such a disrespectful way and escape any kind of censure, is it any wonder that the youngsters choose to break through the boundaries too?

As someone has already said, this has been brewing from last season and these so called supporters also seemed to have damaged one of the buses taking them to the game, how stupid is that. Someone on here will know who they are and, if so, needs to let the club know. While we need younger fans to help create an atmosphere, we don't need louts like these

It's not the first time that D&E have had to bill the travel club for buses (according to some this time though, it was just stickers - pwopa nawty!). A few months back they sent a bill for nearly £200 for damages for a variety of things, including the actions of some moron who thought it would be a good idea to break the glass case and try to take the emergency hammer...

Having been at the game, I was sickened to see the behaviour of some of our supporters. ( It was a minority ). If they can be identified I think the club should hand out some punishment to them.

The club statement is possibly the most proactive we've seen - this has been brewing since last season with there being several incidents of similar behaviour. At both home and away games last year and into this we've seen and heard some unacceptable chants and abuse at players - a standout for me was last year at Pittodrie and the abuse singled out at the ex-ICT players especially Shinnie & Storey, These appear to be daft wee boys but need to be dealt with hard, we cannot be seen to dismiss or belittle the behaviour as the exuberance of youth because the youngsters of today seem to be just like sheep and will grow and follow if it means social media popularity. Hopefully the club ban these idiots before they tarnish the good club reputation and it stops them visiting a club where their fans take offense and end up with someone getting injured or hospitalised - whether from our side or another and most likely an innocent party.

Whilst it's great to get two wins on the spin for the first time in a long while keep in mind these were against a part time side and a load of U20s. Not exactly a brilliant measure of how good we actually are. St Mirren this weekend will be a much better gauge.

What would be the proper way to handle it? Where have I alienated anyone? I'm not upset. I never had to deal with it. Posting about a given subject in a thread is now a rant? Aye ok. Everything I've posted is accurate to the best of my knowledge. It just really pisses me off when folk have a go at the very few volunteers and organisers we actually have but never put themselves forward to take responsibility. Very easy to have all the answers behind a keyboard when you don't have to deal with the fallout.
