  1. Me head is spinning--between moving my lips to translate IHE's predeliction for dreams and coffee and reading that Grassa is going to Clach I fear that the world is going round in circles or summat. To CLACH?---WITH ATTENDANCES OF 400?? Best wind-up of the fast-fading season. The only ray of light on the horizon is the fact that I remember now in one of my dreams that I met IHE once at the Court of Louis 14th and we had a lovely conversation.I found him to be a terribly engaging man-- he wooed and won and became engaged to half the ladies of the Court. IHE--" Aha, ze elusive Scarlet Pimpernel ,eh?" S.P. --in disguised French "Ja vohl mein herren", comment allez-vous et qui est tu?" IHE.." Je suis le'homme avec les visages de milles . Aimez-vous moi?" S.P. Pees-off, IHE, je ne pas comme cela. Je suis straight as ze die. N'est ce pas?" (Get the message?) Pass the smelling salts. And hope that Charles does not see this or he will be completely unable to resist another comment I am sure. Eh.....Charles? :015:
  2. So you are just passing it all on then IHE? It's from the All-Bran Seer, then?
  3. Very risky. Funny how players and Managers who come back don't seem to.....quite....work out in the way we thought they would. Maybe it's just a quiestion of the bloom being of the rose, like? :027:
  4. And if he comes where is he going to play...no, not at Tulloch, but in place of McGuire? :003:
  5. What a pity Walter Mitty cannot sing his ditty So he's branched out into other music And now is trying to imitate Conway Twitty. :015: :sillywave:
  6. Taking your advice YMIP I will not comment other than philosophically since I have never seen said player in action.Philanthropically his salary seems to be out of whack with his impact. Philately may be his secret passion (rumour heard in the corridors of the Hall) but he has failed to put his STAMP on the proceedings --generally speaking that is. Based on goals, probably not. Based on general play he seems to have class but whether he is played too far forward or too far back back he appears to have been relatively ineffective for the large part due to the fact that he does not appear to philipping know which part of the park to play in. :002:--generally speaking that is. :023: However, since he has improved of late ,methinks he will be given another season to blossom, don't you think so petal as in F.W. ? :004: And that will allow a lot of face to be saved on a lot of faces. But as the Southern Blues song goes..... " You're having a good time ,but I know these faces and they are watching you; if you don't watch your step you won't be here long!" In short...he had better be outstanding next year in whatever he does or he won't be here long. :buttkick:
  7. That's a great explanation Scotty. Caleythistleonline is one of the "saved" cookies. I do delete cookies almost every day but, whereas this aspect of my actions has not changed, the sudden problems I have been experiencing of late have occurred only very recently so I was naturally wondering if there was another explanation.I have also noticed that where I experience the same problem on another site it (e.g. the Bank ) the problem only occurs when I delete cookies through ......my computer, "C", properties, delete temporary files ...., and not by the use of Crap Cleaner or some such similar registry cleaner. and I delete these files only every other week. The time suggestion is novel . You are right that there is no point wasting time and energy on it this season. O.K. I was a guest again this evening but it is no sweat for a few weeks. When are your new changes going to take effect? S.P. :rolleyes02:
  8. Good steady post from Scotty. Yes Brew needs for us to give him some credit and ...dare I say it....a continuance of a really fair chance. And after all the hot air of the last few weeks I DO hope that the players themselves come to the same conclusion. :023:
  9. Strange that not one person has mentioned the nudge that a car travelling at high speed ,which was strongly-commented-upon in a recent doumentary, gave to the limousine making it veer into the concrete . That would do it, unbelted or not. That car apparently was really belting along. I vote for the murder scenario--we shall all see in due course. Remember you heard it on here. As Charles said --prats one and all. History is littered with the dead of devious Royal acts, instructions and plots. The more things change the more they stay the same. :cry08:The aye's have it
  10. Geez--so that's why I have to get on the bike every other day and do my mandatory 6 miles to avoid the joints stiffening up. And, sob, you mean my protein powder is not enough to get me from here to there? Woe is me ~!Oh Miserime! :019: Apparently it's good for other types of stiffening up too.. what kinds you say?----.just MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS< NO FURTHER DETAILS , this is boys and girls show and the Gorgie lad is just coming into puberty. Very impressive essay IHE. First time I think I have ever read something as serious and erudite from you. Just goes to show , never judge a man by his clothes or beard. Ha! Ha! :015: Sports psychologist--pshaw!A good kick up the erse that's good enough. And John Hughes is great I agree. :notworthy02:
  11. Sounds like there are too many players with big heads who don't show the respect to the manager that a man in his position should deserve. No humility but lots of self-satisfied actions and feelings. "Can't motivate me "? What the flaming heck does he think he is ?Mr Primadonna. Are the players not supposed to be putting out the energy and effort themselves to play their hearts out for the club and justify the large pay-packet they get? And as for the Manager and the comment by someone that he is the best we can get "for the money"..are you kidding me? I must have been left behind when everybody else moved on but at least I appreciate every penny I earn and was very careful to respect my Managers of the past--except once and the response was so draconian that it forced me out of the Bank in Scotland and off to Canada. Primadonnas eh? A good kick in the rear end every week with their fat pay packet would be a good start. Craig Brewster has more of my sympathy by the minute. :008:
  12. Gorgie lad--you are improving . Now just use the spell checker beside the "Post" and "Preview" buttons at he bottom and we can all try to read your posts. Not being sarcastic, just helpful. :wave01:
  13. You do realise Johnboy that we overseas fellas can not even see the BBC replay to which there is a link on here!. Blocked to all Overseas punters. :008: Can you imagine something so hairbrained as that--days after the event a few -half a dozen of us in far flung parts of the world --cannot even get a sniff of a look. Time to contact Mike Smith again. :029:
  14. Ulp--no pint confirmation yet, Johnboy. Tried to log-in today and was haughtily informed that I was a GUEST (what a dirty word---ugh!).That despite the "FOREVER" undying promise of entry bliss. Like a marriage --it's supposed to be forever too but at least 50% in Canada end up going in divorce. It might be assumed that at least another 25% continue to live together due to convenience which means that the remaining 25% are either dedicated masochists, very happy together or liars..... :crazy07: Looks like there is a gremlin lurking in the works here eh Scotty? :004:
  15. Probably--one of my mammy's best pals was a lovely lady named Mrs Finlay Fraser who lived on Lochalsh Road. Ma pronounced it Finlah Fraser. :002:
  16. Freezing Blackieforce? --what's minus 53 degrees in the Yukon this Winter to a Pimple? However, in La La Land in the West, where Scotty would love to be (he got four foot snow drifts on his roof this last Winter) we rarely get frosts on the roof more than minus 16 and ....wheesht!......it's mostly teaming rain and swollen rivers within an inch of flooding. Doesn't affect the brain at all.....you are too busy swimming like crazy to get to dry land.. :cdn: :wave01:
  17. What's QFT--why just Quo Vatis Turkey--as in " Vat is dat mein herr?" :002: Redee 15 "Hope Janjo will play soon"---That's good luv, next post will be "hope banjo will play soon". Top marks for originality. :003: Luv yer spirit luv, luv yer spirit :sillywave:
  18. Dashed civil of you Johnboy. :clapping03: I have once again entered FOREVER in the box you mention and so far so good. Pint in the Innes for you before the end of the year? :002: On the Pimple? :004:
  19. C'maaaaaan, IHE-we await the disclosure with bated breath. :004:
  20. Well, Roscoe, you think Gretna's Chairman is a "knob" ? When he comes off his deathbed I will ask him what he thinks you are? But ,in the interim, please offer a precis of all the terrible things Mr Mileson has done in your view to merit that moniker , pray? :018:
  21. Even if he is signed for the remainder of the season if at all possible that would inject a bit of swagger and style into the team and hopefully keep supplying Niculae with lovely passes.... :crazy07:
  22. Fair-dos, Fairbrass. Hope this ain't some Fair-ytale :002:
