  1. Past hour
  2. Don't get me wrong I know there is a lot to discuss and consider following the events of last week. However the statement yesterday was a non event. Sure something released on Sunday along the lines of "This was certainly not the plan and relegation is a disappointment to us all. Over the next days and weeks we will come together as a club, discuss, formulate and strategies before we make further comment. We thank you for your support, and we will return to you with answers etc soon." At the moment we no nothing. I suspect the staff and remaining players know very little too. A club who has become so disjointed within that breweries and **** ups come to mind
  3. Cant afford the luxury of passengers next season who will only play 50% of the league games. Apart from the budget issues it does nothing for continuity and a settles starting line up - we are unlikely to have a packed schedule where we need that level of squad rotation. Need to avoid guys who get injured looking at artificial pitches - we know the situation so should be preparing for it accordingly.
  4. The short answer is yes, it does affect players. I don't know the sports science behind it, although I think it may be due to the infill material where soil under grass, even when hard and compacted, is still softer than the infill then cement/concrete under turf. Hate that we have to play on it and we absolutely need to be factoring this into training if we are not to have an even more horrendous injury list this coming season. Artificial turf has come a long way since the carpet burn Astroturf like they have/had at the Bught, and some of it is now FIFA approved and woven into real grass and such like, but with all due respect, I don't think we are encountering the top of the range stuff in League 1. It's too expensive to maintain and very few clubs could afford it including most Premiership clubs. Went down a bit of a rabbit hole with this page but seems to have been a lot of research, mostly on American Football, done in US universities that do correlate turf and increased injury risk. https://www.sportsfieldmanagement.org/knowledge_center/synthetic-turf/#accordion_injury_research

  6. Ourselves and arbroath will play over half our matches on turf. That should be an advantage in terms of impact on players. But we do need to be training on astro pitches as part of our training regime. And we do need to improve facilities at Fort george to reduce injuries.

    Robbo

So Robbo was getting paid by the club while they spent most of his time at the Global Staduim working for the media or taking in the County games? Mind boggling. ICT definitely a club like no other Some of the revelations that are coming out now are hard to believe to be fair Dougal
  8. Look I know tensions are running high at the moment but let’s not get too overly dramatic. In his defence he will be looking at you the same as any other fan no different unless of course you are-an employee of the club ? Is so I apologise. Dougal
  9. Yngwie

    Robbo

Pretty sure he is an employee with a normal employment contract and a notice period, not someone on a fixed term contract like a player.
  10. So what's the current thinking about artificial pitches, and how that might affect our squad? We'll be playing a lot of games on them. It used to be said that there was greater injury risk, perhaps because of the ability to change direction more quickly (ie too quickly). Also that it was harder on joints. Is this still true with more modern pitches? I know we've rested players in the past rather than put them out on an artificial pitch. What are the implications for our older players, such as Billy, and Aaron Doran if he was fit?
  11. Unfortunately he could not say what the split of these are. The real question needed asked was how many full paying season ticket holders?
  12. You have to assume that the club has been working out what our 'backers' can afford to write off and what guarantees they can extend for the forthcoming season before making moves in terms of staying full-time, changing manager, impact on non-playing roles etc. It's also worth noting that full-time football is no guarantee of promotion. Queen of the South have been fulltime since they got relegated and finished seventh this season, behind a lot of part-time teams. Falkirk and Dunfermline have both had extended stays in the third tier as full-time clubs in recent history.
  13. I’ve always renewed my season ticket but whilst the CEO is still here my money stays in my wallet. I’ve spent loads over the years on ICT but the CEO obviously dodged the training in interpersonal skills as, when I’ve been anywhere nearby him, he looks at me as if I’m dirt under his shoes. I’ve worked and been a team member in high places with people who valued me. My ICT cash has gone towards his likely inflated wage so, until he goes, ICT will miss out. I don’t think I’m alone in my thoughts.
  14. You are a professional at it though.
  15. They are past redemption. Clueless and don't give a stuff about fans
  16. I'd bet my mortgage they are all not paid STs
  17. From the note of the February Fans Meeting, Scott Young said there were 1459 season tickets and a further 50 half season tickets.
  18. i plan to buy a season ticket now for next season to help keep the club going
  19. STFU

    Robbo

But they didn't terminate his contract. They continued to pay it while he was off doing other things. They could have just run it down and told him it would be reviewed nearer it's expiry point. The same as they have done with players. Imagine every player who wasn't going to be given a contract renewal was allowed to just head off on gardening leave for the last 7 months of their deal?
  20. How'd he get one of Big Dunc's positional coaching charts?
  21. A call to unity after radio silence is pretty hilarious, particularly after years of fans, supporters trust, S94, volunteers and local businesses being brushed aside. The club has shown for years that it doesn't value supporters' concerns or their contributions (unless it's money).
  22. With Robbo and Bazza moving across the bridge in June then serious discussions about a merger can take place, under the supervision of Uncle Roy and Gardiner.
  23. And on 10th June Mr Robertson will be able to continue to maintain his garden through pay cheques from Global Energy.
  24. What’s the issue here exactly? For months the fans were moaning he was at the club. They finally done what you wanted and you’re shocked we couldn’t do it for free?
  25. And I believe we have been paying Barry Wilson as well
  26. Hey Admin - I used to get warnings for such behaviour
