Richie Byrne

got to ask was he not good enough after all and brewster was trying anything to save his neck

Think this is a good move for Caley. In a months time we will have another LB fully match fit. Dont think he would have got enough games right now due to lionell!!

dont think any1 saying that coming :rotflmao:

Probably a good move to get someone who's only going to be a bit player off the currently inflated wage bill.

would agree and who knows maybe he will come back a better player.

not sure on the terms but wonder if they are paying his full wage

if a player goes out on loan do we still pay his wage or half of it or the club he's out on loan too????

Completely up to the clubs. Could be 0% or 100%. If it's a young player looking for experience, then often the loaning club will still pay a fair chunk as they're looking at bettering an investment. If it's an older, more expensive player, then the loaned out to club can pay more as it will benefit them and the loaning club will normally only do it to reduce their wage bill and maybe put the player in the shop window.

Great news . He's rank rotten , hopefully it'll be made permanent .

i take it with him going out on loan, Hastings and Gathuessi are all most back to full fitness

is this boy as bad as i am hearing about him? or is alright?

we aint going to miss him!!

we aint going to miss him!!

not on the bbc sport website and its not on our club website

NO ONE CARES ABOUT HIM!!!!!!!! :rotflmao:

we have enough defenders!!

St johnstone have asked us to help out with an emergency loan and we've agreed to give them Richie for a month. This could be very good for him and us. He gets badly needed match experience and maybe comes back better for it at a time when we could well need the guy performing at his very best.

Fraid I had a vision of Perth with the words echoing Byrne out fer the season !! Throwing him in to first team football too early, with his recent inury problems, is very risky.

Never saw him play and don't really remember him at Aberdeen so can't recall how good a player he was.

He isn't really required at present with Super Lionel at left-back and Hastings for cover so should be a good move for him.

This is the best way to get him back to fitness!

is there even a point on him coming back after his loan??? we have duff, hastings, mcguire and proctor and mcbain can both play in the back line so theres no need in him is there

(hopefully he'll do good at st johnstone and then re-loan him for the rest of season and then sign him)

Give me Byrne over McGuire any day of the week.

  • 1 month later...

Thats Byrne back at the club now :rotflmao:

St Johnstone are on record, want to keep him until the end of the season.

I wondered when I read it, as he did not get very good reports, on here, when he signed for us.

Maybe he will be in the team in place of Lionel.

"The Perth club was keen to keep the Irish left back at McDiarmid Park but Scottish Premier League rules state that when a short-term emergency loan deal finishes it cannot be renewed."
